Grace

One Seed is an organic, botanical perfume house, located in South Australia. Several years ago I was gifted a generous decant of Grace. Sadly, it appears that Grace has now been discontinued, which is very unfortunate as I would have liked to have re-purchased it. Grace smells soothing like a day-spa with notes of blood orange, black currant, cognac, amber, champaca and vanilla. This aroma relaxes me and I wish I could own this fragrance in a home-spray to scent my home so that my surroundings would smell just as 'zen'. As an organic fragrance, Grace has no nasty chemicals so it is safe for those with sensitive skin or allergies. Although a majority of my fragrance collection is not 'natural', I do enjoy the occasional botanical fragrance and I hope to add more to my collection soon. Perhaps the only downside to natural perfumes is their tendency to darken with age and for the liquid to become thicker. Grace did become quite dark with age and I had to be wary of not spraying on light fabrics in case it stained. I did, however, own Grace for a number of years and this ageing process was to be expected. Grace is not an overly complex perfume. It's primarily a herbal-esque blend of amber, cognac, fruits and vanilla, which lasted approximately five hours on my skin. I realise I won't have much luck finding a bottle of this scent due to its discontinuation, however, I am now inspired to test more from the One Seed range.
