Hope

Firstly, the notes listed on Fragrantica are incorrect. The Fragrantica notes are the earliest version of this gem. I just got my sample vial of this today and its beautiful. It kinda reminds me alot of a cross between original MJ Daisy and Paris Venise by Chanel. But the more natural version of them both. I can definitely smell citrus, powder, violet, woody notes, & something slightly green. This is actually quite unisex, not sweet, but at same time quite perfumy in its own way. When first sprayed it reminds me of a powder bomb from Chanel exlusif line. As it dries down it becomes softer and more billowy. It projects alot at first but within 20-30 minutes it softens up by more than 50%. I think longevity is 3 or 4 hours max. If you like MJ Daisy, Paris Venise and or lemony violet powder bombs you will like this.

Ok this is my followup review. I have both the sample vial and the roller ball and haven't really used either in a year. This perfume reminds me alot of MJ Daisy Twinkle (purple bottle). They both have bergamot opening with violet & cold white florals. At the base they are both heavy on blonde woods. The thing is blonde woods can make a fragrance smell very austere, cold and woody. I really like other fragrances from this line like Seeker and Tides, but I don't think Hope is for me.

According to their website, the current version of this scent has main notes of blonde woods, bergamot, violet petals and other notes of mimosa, frankincense. I'm assuming that the bottle I have is the reformulated version. It's beautiful. Coconut isn't mentioned as a note in either formulation, but I get real, fresh coconut milk from this. I do get sandalwood and violet leaf, but also faint baking spices. To me, this has the feeling of eating a winter dessert in a damp forest - it's natural, fresh, green, but also comfortingly spicy and woody. To me, this is a scent that I instantly connect with, combining as it does home cooking and after-the-rain nature. I can't quite work out the connection between the description listed here, the notes listed on the website, and what my nose detects, but I really like this regardless.

The listed here notes are incorrect. They are (from ‘One Seed’ website) blonde woods, bergamot, violet petals, mimosa, frankincense, orris root. I did not like it a year ago when I tried a sample but when recently I gave it another try, I was very surprised. It begins with moist wood which reminds me of the smell of an artist’s studio although it is not the smell of turpentine at all. The note is about light and light wood, probably moist. Then the violets begin popping up. Next the fragrance slowly evolves into a violet-mimosa-iris thing. The dry down is iris-something with amber to my nose. I ended up purchasing this perfume and it is growing on me. The longevity is moderate. I can smell it for about five hours, but I am used to natural perfumes.

I wore this oil perfume. The scent begins with spicy lavender and cool lime. Mild melted coconut oil and creamy sandalwood will wrap around them and protrude in less than a few minutes. After some minutes, the astringent taste and bittern of oakmoss emerged vaguely and everything will gathered. I thought I hope to calling it as Creamy Fougere Cypre. The materials seems gentle to the skin.

I really wish the updated edition of this was in the database because it has different notes, and it's utter heaven!
