Afraid of the Dark: Lady Death

Another perfume that I disliked at first but grew to like, so I'm glad I gave it several chances. Sniffing it out of the bottle and on a testing paper, I was unimpressed and a little disappointed as a I expected more from a perfume called Lady Death. It was too sweet, too smooth, just kind of simple. However! After two wears the fragrance grew on me and I like it a lot now, for nights where I want to wear something subtler than strong florals or stinky animalics. The sweetness isn't sugar or candy like, it's subtly seductive and mysterious, and it blends nicely with the florals. When I'm wearing it outside work, I can't resist sniffing my shirt or wrist. I'm quite impressed with the longevity. I applied one spray to my neck/top of my shirt, and smelled whiffs of it throughout my 7 hour shift at a restaurant where there are a lot of strong smells that get into skin, hair, and clothes. As a goth guy I find this to be a pretty good "I'm going somewhere and can't decide which frag fits today's look/mood so I'll just wear this." perfume.

Very floral, sweet, and fruity. A timeless, elegant scent, with the familiarity of a well-blended classic floral perfume. It becomes more harmonious as time passes. A slightly aquatic undertone, like sweetened water with some white flowers and a touch of oakmoss. It's not quite the same, but it's in the floral style of Sisley.
