Eternal Roots

Gay male here! I really love this perfume. I have the Salted Muse which is probably Orebella's closest gender neutral scent until this one. This one is a bit more mature than Salted Muse. Salted Muse I would consider more of a spring/summer scene, this is definitely in the late summer/fall category. The first thing I think of is Juliane Moore in Tom Ford's Single Man when I smell Eternal Roots. It lays on fruity but not sugary sweet and then levels out in the first few minutes to a musk/salt/woodsy/fruity scent. It is very nice. You can definitely wear this during the day or at night but to me really shines as an evening perfume. It has an interesting slightly sticky feel on the skin, more so than the Salted Muse. The Sillage is very present. It is a unique smell and will be noticed very likely enjoyed by others around you. It isn't strong or offensive. The description above calls this a Chypre fruity fragrance which is defined as woody, earth, and animalistic. I can definitely see how this is "animalistic" as the scent almost smells as if it is your natural scent, musky but it a really nice of the body kind of way. If you are a woman, you could layer this with a feminine perfume, if you are a man, you could definitely get away with adding more smoke as a second layer to this. It is a really nice base layer. Think Tom Ford but dialed back a lot (Tom Ford is aggressive with his perfume line in a really bold way). Eternal Roots gives you the Tom Ford scents but keeps it within your friend circle and not projected out to the entire room (time and place for that). This is more wearable in more settings.

Another review of this cause I’m so obsessed it might become my new signature scent. I know the opinions on the sillage & longevity are mixed but on my skin its an actual monster! Stays on my skin ALL day, I can smell it very well on my hands after washing them multiple times and sillage is amazing too! I just think it’s amazing how perfumes smell and act differently depending on who’s using it... It’s a gorgeous blend of sparkling fruit with deep, dark and more masculine smoke, leather, woody & green notes. I don’t think I smelled something similar to this, it’s pretty unique imo. It’s sexy, dark feminine, confident type of scent, definitely unisex! I can see why some people don’t like it, it can for sure come off very manly, there’s no doubt about that (that’s why it’s definitely not a safe blind buy and definitely not a scent for everyone, in my case it comes off very masculine when I spray it on clothes, it’s way more fruity on skin) but it’s such an interesting one! & there’s something so beautiful about the dry down that makes me fall in love with this even more... makes me feel like I’m an earth type of fairy living in a dark gloomy forest... it’s so dreamy. 🪽

for starters i walked into ulta looking for a fragrance for my bday and stumbled upon this one, i didnt look up the notes before hand but i loved it so much i was smelling it the whole time and everything else was just eh. i always wanted to try out orebella as i really am with what bella stands for, but wasnt sold on the fact i cant spray it on my clothes. then i looked up the notes and decided it was worth the money to get the travel size, lychee is my favorite and so is patchouli and both of those together im really enjoying. its very juicy and smoky, and dries down very sweet on my skin, not really overtly masculine at all imo. although it would smell great on a guy too. it reminds me of a way more deepened and matured version of one of my favorites when i was 16, now in my early 20s i think i found my signature scent for the year. i think there’s something for everyone in this line

Big love! The smoke is listed as a base note but it’s strong only on the inital spray and significantly fades when it comes to the dry down. It reminds me somewhat of the old Burberry Her Intense (brown bottle) but more woody, slightly smokey. Or even my Angel Nova EDT probably because of the shared litchi note. They are not the same, not at all, but they do come in mind when i smell Eternal Roots. Because the opening is smokey, it can come off masculine, but on me it turns pretty fast fruidy-woody, even sweet. It becomes so addicting, i want to keep reapplying. Not in love with the Orabella prices tho... 112 euros for 100ml is near niche level. Obvious perfumes go for 130 euros here and Commodity 150 euros. I was taken aback at first.

It’s like when gojo combines purple and blue but it’s red and blue and the red is the feminine sweetness but the blue is the typical masculine/unisex notes and it turns into a feminine leaning unisex fragrance. I love this so much this is the kind of fragrance you and your boo can wear together and it won’t smell questionable, it’s versatile and delicious. It’s reminiscent of a nostalgic smell from my past that I can’t remember!!😍 It then transcends into this warm spicy incense sugar with a bit of raspberry!! This is now my favourite fragrance and I envision Bella frolicking through life with this on. This is so her!

I went to an ULTA today, was so curious about this brand as I’ve never seen it before and OMG. I loved it all, but this one was what came home with me. First of all, on my skin it starts out smoky and deep and kind of mysterious, and after time the fruits really started to come through. It was sweet yet smoky and spicy and fruity. And the bottle is an absolute plus, it’s gorgeous, it gives me geological vibes. It’s certainly a more unique perfume, I don’t think I’ve smelled anything quite like it.

I really love this. Yes it opens a bit masculine but it loses a bit of it in the dry down. It is such an interesting and unique scent i think will work year round. This really lasts on me. If you like very feminine, sweet, girly scents this probably is not for you. The only other one out of the line i like is Salted Muse. Where SM is light, airy and yes oceanic, ER is deep, warm, sensual and mysterious. I bought the travel size but will be purchasing a large bottle.

This is so wonderful!! Earthy smoky sweet incense like I love it!! It is relatively strong at well making it a good fragrance to pair others with! You can really smell the Raspberry note when applied but that sweetness dies down and completely transforms on the dry down. I can't wait to pair it with deep berry scents!!! It smells so Good with pair with Flora Gorgeous Gardenia! The Berry, Mandarin, and green notes complement this perfume so well!

fell in love with this fragrance at the store today, it’s been around 7hrs and i can still smell it very well on my skin!! tried all 5 of em on my skin and this one, salted muse and nightcap are definitely the best ones when it comes to longevity, this one is also the best one when it comes to sillage along with salted muse!! definitely my fav right know, smells so elegant and feminine, a confident woman type of scent imo, just beautiful

This is a very unique scent and I don't have anything smelling similar in my current 80-100 bottles of collection, so I'm very happy! It can be gender neutral if the Lychee's taken out but oh my! What a special note profile. Bella Hadid you've done it again - a perfect fall scent when the weather's starting to cool down. It definitely doesn't smell juvenile nor old-fashioned, just a thoughtful, sophisticated fragrance! Love!

This is everything I've ever dreamed of. It's an earthy fairy girl smell. The sweet feminine aspect from the lychee and sugar is undeniable and strong but the smokey, woody, earthy twist from the patchouli, smoke, suede and papyrus really makes this so unique. I feel like I should be in a green mossy forest sitting on the dirt and pondering at the creek while wearing pearlescent eyeshadow and crystal earrings lol.

So unique and beautiful - it is a work of art! Perfect for nights out, romantic dates, going to fancy cocktail bars. It is sweet, but the smoke note and the woodiness balances it out perfectly. I would say it's more feminine, but could see a man wearing it as well. Attractive, seductive, sexy fragrance.

Miss Bella Hadid did her big one with Eternal Roots! This scent is definitely full bottle worthy. It’s sweet, musky, aaaaalmost masculine leaning. It doesn’t have that antique, grandma-like scent that her other 4 fragrances have. This is going to be beautiful layered with other scents. 10/10!!!!

Makes me feel like a forest fairy; sweet and girly but the scent of the woods lingers. I personally don’t find it unisex leaning unlike some other reviews, but rather feminine with some woody/musky notes. Reminds me (not a copy) of Taylor Swift’s Wonderstruck Enchanted, but more mature.

Man, every time I wear this fragrance it’s like I’m wearing it for the second time again. Such a beautiful fragrance you forget how nice it is until you spray it. Comforting and versatile I’d say ❤️

i thought i was going to absolutely hate this because i hate smoky and leathery fragrances but this? i can’t stop smelling the test strip and im like rethinking everything i know rn.

My new favourite!!!!! Her most mass pleasing one thus far. Second favourite is nightcap! 🤩 This one is sweet airy and well blended

Smells like a wine cellar. Red berries, woods, a tarte smokiness.

This one is strong which isn’t super bad but may bother some, I get the impression it can last but I’m not sure if that holds true , only tested in store. Because of how strong it is I can understand what people in some of these reviews mean by headache inducing; a little should go a long way to prevent this, I can’t imagine overspraying this strong scent. For me it kinda skimmed on a line for “may be headache inducing, may not be”. It didn’t cause me a headache probably because I sometimes love strong perfumes (the only ones that have caused me headaches r strong floral perfumes..) N I’m used to the strength in angel by Mugler , but eternal roots did kinda have that just a tad too strong feeling going up my nostrils when I held my wrist close. I didn’t really like that it had this, but it wasn’t like overwhelmingly awful, it was just a tad bothersome / annoying. Other than that overly strong scent that kinda bothered my nose (it kinda goes away with time, so I feel like this is definitely a perfume you don’t overspray and you wait for the dry down, otherwise it’s too strong for the nose at first.) the notes of it smells good n I couldn’t stop smelling my wrists after spraying it on me, it’s an addicting scent but I think not feminine enough for me (I like more feminine scents. This isn’t /not/ feminine, just not moree feminine to my liking.) it does smell a lot like fall. Most fall vibe perfume I’ve smelled so far, which is cute. I get a classy, clean, always smells good strong independent woman vibe walking in nyc on a fall morning being busy and successful from this which this would be so cute n nice for. I really like the vibe for others but it doesn’t match my vibe. I like angel by Mugler, doll skin by boy smells, and nebras for reference. Still, eternal roots is a flattering scent if it fits your demographic!

this is the perfect scent that gives unisex with a hint of feminine. the first spray is peppery with a clear bergamot smell, but as the smell stays on the skin it develops to a more "cologne" like scent which is why i feel this perfume leans more unisex (probably the leather). it lasts relatively long on clothing but is short lived on skin which is a little disappointing since the essentials oils in it give such a nice shine to my skin. when i layer this perfume with another basic oil perfume, the oil texture gets a little weird and it starts the look funny on my skin, almost like a thick film? so i wouldn't recommend layering this perfume. it's definitely been my summer scent this year and I would totally recommend it! sometimes perfume with a lot of oil can make the skin on my chest break out a tad, but this one doesn't! i do think a fig scent would complete this perfume, but i feel that with most perfumes lol

Although the notes don’t say, this is a Jerome Epinette fragrance. (Sorry if I spelled his name wrong) Was hoping for more Litchi up top but I get the smoke right away. Smoke and raspberries in church. Def get the cranberry candle analogy, too. But this smells more incensy than candle-like to me. I think this is one that will grow on me. I’m testing at the tail end of summer and was hoping for less smoke and more of a summer scent. Whoever said that this speaks to the “dark feminine” nailed it, but with a dash of LV Nouveau Monde, I see this traversing into the masculine.

My husband really enjoyed this for himself and walked out with a travel spray. Very heavy with the vetiver in the opening but it settles down and is quite fruity in the middle of the fragrance. The dry down is smoky with birch and smoke. Very unisex. A man can pull this off if he like sweet fruity woody smoky fragrances which my husband does. My favorite of the line continues to be Blooming Fire. My niece wears Window2Soul. This is a fun line. Very moisturizing on the skin as well. Which is the best and only place to wear these fragrances.

Starts masculine - soapy, fresh, spicy, can definitely pick up the patchouli. Not bad, just not my thing. I initially rated it neutral, wrote it off as something that would probably work better on a man than me. Perhaps I dismissed it too soon because on the drydown it got better for me - more feminine, and there’s something quite nice in there that smells fruity (lychee?) & leathery (suede?). Sounds weird, but it works. I can’t stop sniffing my arm, it keeps growing on me hours later. Long lasting, projects well,

This is a very Arab woman fragrance. She did such a good job and I can tell that this one projects! It smells like raspberry/lychee, marshmallow, and oud. I would say that it’s unisex as most Arab perfumes are, but it leans feminine to me because of the florals and fruits It’s such a dark feminine scent and would be perfect for winter time!

her best release yet in my opinion and i don’t really like any of the other ones but this one is pretty good

Blind bought this when it first came out on official website and was beyond disappointed. The smell goes away within the first 5 minutes. No dry down, no sillage, no nothing. Might just be my nose or skin chemistry, my partner doesn't smell it either though. I ADORE the smell on first spray, but no longevity, no smell at all. I'm happy for those who love it and it works on them but sadly, a waste of money. I'll let it marinate and hopefully it'll intensify over time (1 1/2 years laters and still nothing so please pray for my bottle!) I WILL lastly say, maybe I just got an outlier bottle that doesn't perform, but you'd think a direct-from-company bottle would be awesome and beast mode. Sadly, not this one and I'm very sad about it. Signature scent worthy smell, ghost-worthy performance.

surprised theres no saffron in this. i mostly get a smoky, woody, burnt sugar saffron incensey vibe, with a hint of berry. i definitely pick up the vetiver and suede. unisex/masculine leaning imo. strangely "reminded" me of fragrances like Ralph's Club New York meets Azzaro The Most Wanted Intense/Wanted EDP... just not as good. not a bad fragrance, not for me, but i can see this appealing to those that like that baccarat vibe.

smells like chinese general goods shop and hawthorn flakes. bella has spoken about this fragrance being the sibling to salted muse, but i find it to be much softer and less androgynous. perhaps it is the suggestion of lychee on a bed of essential oils and suede. i love the smell lingering on clothes, but it is a little too strong on my skin.

it smells like a very heavy, a bit dated fragrance. there is smokiness but it has a note that makes it feel like a perfume that has been staying at an old house for the past 20 years. fruity but not in a fresh way, smoky but not in a complex way. the mix of notes doesnt make a lot of sense

I'm glad that I didn't buy this right after it came out like I was going to. It leans really masculine to me. This is for sure a try before you buy. Possibly more than once. I like the unisex vibe of Salted Muse, but this one's just way too manly for me.

Smells a bit like cough syrup I fear!

This was not for me. I loved the smell, not on skin. Bought a travel size bottle on a whim.. sprayed it on my wrist and was so disappointed. It leans extremely masculine on me. I pondered on it while driving, and Bella stated it was supposed to be androgynous, which tracks. Definitely get the Smokey suede and is definitely for a “cool girl” night out. I imagine this on someone with a leather jacket and a blow out. I gave it to my sister who is definitely masculine. It has a sweetness to it, maybe the lychee, but the dry down definitely feels like a cologne.

I really like Orebella's scent themes and note stories. I wanted to like this fragrance, and it smelled great in the bottle. Unfortunately, the lychee note on my skin becomes sweaty and unpleasant and lasts as long as the base notes on my skin. It also gave me a mild allergic reaction: slightly itchy, red bumps where I had the fragrance. My bottle had a misshapen nozzle and wouldn't spray correctly. My interaction with their customer service had no solution, and they told me there was nothing they could do about it. Needless to say, I returned it.

Wow, okay. "Eternal Roots" is the odd bird of the Orebella lot. Quite frankly this smells like the fragrance section of a Sephora. I've been assaulted with nondescript fruity musks, maltol, ambrox, smoky leather, and only God knows what else. A bizarre mélange of trendy synthetic notes that correspond, but don't cohere. As such, it doesn't strike me as particularly masculine or feminine. Brisk, sharp, and bitter collides with fresh, fruity, and sweet.

I do not get the smokiness or leather that everyone speaks of, I wish I detected the woodiness. To me this smells like sugary fruits, and that's it. Very juvenile and sweet on my skin and the name of the perfume is very misleading,

for some reason this smells like a dentist’s office to me, and i have extreme dental anxiety so i do not appreciate this one

This comes off a bit like shaving cream to me. I really like Nightcap from this brand though.

headache inducing (per usual with orebella)

I knew to shake the perfume before spraying but was not prepared for it to turn such a milky white color. This is certainly not a perfume you’d spray on fabric as it appears to have some oil in it. As for the scent itself, I really expected an opening of lychee but was instead greeted with a strong punch of a smell that resembled a cologne my middle school boyfriend used to wear. I had some hope for the dry down but it continued to be more male leaning and smelled like Irish Spring soap. Not a safe blind buy and wouldn’t consider this unisex at all.

I absolutely detest this fragrance. Bought a sample discovery pack, and this one is just awful. It started out okay with the lychee top note, but then within 20 mins this became an aggressive leather + smoke fragrance on me. What a catfish! Reminded me of Zoologist Rhino or T-Rex lmao, had to shower immediately and even still I got a headache from the residue on skin later on. Also the oily texture just really makes it cloying.

So sad this was a SCRUBBER for me. This is a hot, leathery, smoke and STINKY oud tar bomb on me. I feel like I'm standing next to a leather couch on fire. There's no oud note listed yet it's all I get. This was absolutely putrid on me... I was really looking forward to this too. Not blind buy safe and a wear test is essential.

At first it reminded me of the sugary, plasticky, medicinal note in Baccarat. Then it’s very syrupy, can’t detect any litchi, and I really love litchi in general. After the first 30 minutes it smells like a cranberry and spices candle. Then it smells like cranberries soaked overnight in a clove sugary syrup, served on a plate as a desert, sprinkled with salt. Vetiver is my favorite note, I also love birch, I love papyrus, and sadly I get absolutely zero of these notes. I get sugar and raspberry, with a hint of a plasticky suede note behind it. On me: there is no juxtaposition. It’s just sweet berries with a nondescript base, overall it smells synthetic. On my friend: it develops into something much warmer, woodier and spicier. I much prefer it on her. Must wear it on your skin to see which version you’ll get. You’ll like this if you like the burnt sugar and saffron sweetness in Crystal Saffron by Matiere Premier. On my skin, the middle sugary fruit note stayed throughout the entire duration of the scent, and lasted much longer in general than on my friend. Eternal Roots on me lasted for about 7-8 hours. On my friend she reached the base note quicker and it the scent disappeared after 5-6 hours.

Eternal Flame is perfect for someone. That someone isn’t me. I smelled this in Ulta about a week ago and from all the samples, I smelled this one repeatedly. It really is an intriguing alluring scent. I ended up leaving with a travel size bottle. I was really excited that this was going to be a new favorite of mine. However I realized quite quickly that if you overspray this by even one spray it turns into pure patchouli. I definitely wasn’t feeling that. I am also not a huge fan of the oil concept. I don’t find that it makes the fragrance project any further and it makes the perfume a little annoying to apply. I wish they had created two versions so people could have an option for regular perfume or the “shake well” oil version. All in all I do still think the scent is really nice if applied very sparingly but I will still be returning this as soon as I can. If you enjoy vanilla romance from bath and body works I imagine you’ll like eternal flame. They have a similar vibe.

This fragrance is similar to a generic cologne or fragrance you'd pick up at Macy's. While I appreciate the depth and smokiness, I feel the top notes are too sweet making this scent kind of all over the place. On my skin it smells very chemically/soapy almost like a pungent carwash and tire shop smell. I really wanted to love this, because I love Bella and the aesthetic of the bottles. Some people say it smells like a cranberry holiday candle, and I fear this is kind of accurate. I love pink pepper, but I find the suede, bergamot, pink pepper just blend together into a sharp scent of dish soap water and sponge. Like smelling my wrist smells like sweet cranberries and my hands after using a sponge and not washing the sponge scent off. It might smell better on others but it does not work for me.

The perfect end of August into fall scent. This will forever remind me of the time I took a solo trip to see Ethel Cain in Los Angeles on the WT,IALY tour. This was my scent of the night and it was heavenly while I was tipsy off a glass of red wine. Camo pants, boots, leather jackets and a western gothic atmosphere. It’s slightly smoky, fruity, romantic, and perfectly unisex. It starts off heavy on the “cologne” aspect, but it warms up so nicely on the skin and becomes a soft woody berry scent. I love it during the day, but this performs best in the evenings. I think it would be the perfect date night scent. I’ll keep this in rotation forever.

This is what I would call a cowgirl perfume. It smells like playing pool in a dive bar. The smoke, woods and leather are most prominent here, I only get a bit of fruity sweetness in the background. I go nose-blind to fragrances very quickly but not with the Orebella scents. I wonder if that is because of the oil formula? I've been wearing this for a couple of months now and I still smell it on myself very intensely. This is a very masculine, cool-girl scent, so if you like soft feminine scents, definitely go for something else. I really appreciate that Orebella is doing something unique like this.

I tried this at Ulta today. I didnt think I was going to like it because I like fresh, light, and fruity fragrances. This was a nice surprise. I loved the fruity opening from the lychee. That was the only "feminine" feel of this scent. As it dries down, it's just smoke and leather. The dry down reminds me of a cologne an uncle or my dad would wear. I dont know how to explain but like... it smells like clean smoke and leather. It's not sweet at all (at least imo). I am not completely sold if this perfume is for me. I'll probably get a travel size and try wearing it more at home lol

Pleasant fruity, floral, powdery scent that settles a bit musky on the skin. I don’t really get lychee, but I do like the way it opens with bergamot, raspberry blossom and pink pepper and blends with vetiver, birch and smoke, but there’s a powdery note that is more prominent than I expected. I anticipated a much more earthy, masculine scent. Someone told me I smelled like a grandma at church. I think it’s just too powdery for my liking, but it’s very pretty. It’s a great scent for autumn. I just personally love Salted Muse out of everything in the fragrance lineup.

i love the accuracy of the names! this is truly fitting of the culture, bella hadid is sometimes called “the palestinian princess”. i had a feeling i was going to enjoy her creations. i love her fragrance profiles. luxurious fragrance, a bit heavy for how hot and humid it gets in my city in the summer, the patchouli dominates on my skin, yet my mind has already started thinking of all the outfits i could wear with this fragrance for a gorgeous dinner. i just think she is very fun and feminine and it reflects on her brand
