Jasmine Blues

Ok. This is my very first time writing a review for any perfume ever, and I've been a long-time lurker here on fragrantica, so that feels pretty special to me. But so does this perfume. Honestly, I'm a gourmand girl through and through. Yum boujee marshmallow, ariana grande's 'cloud', bianco latte - I just wanted to smell edible. I wanted the most popular perfumes because I wanted everyone to love how I smelled. But as I've gotten older, and grown more into myself, I found myself cringing whenever I sprayed my favorite perfumes. But i couldn't figure out what else i would want to smell like. Then one day, I stepped out into my laundry room, which is just off of my back door and only separated from the outside with a screen door. Spring had just started, and my neighbors tree was just starting to flower - pretty little white buds of a tree i've never bothered to ask the name of. The entire backyard smelled like it, and it was all i could smell while I sat there and threw my laundry into the washer. I was completely enamored. All i could think of was what i would give to smell like that. like a fragrant, tiny little blooming flower right at the beginning of spring. So, i hunted for floral fragrances. Everything fell completely short. Too artificial, too alcohol-y, too geriatric - it just seemed like my skin chemistry wasn't built to hold such a beautiful, natural fragrance. Maybe I'd be stuck with marshmallow-vanilla vibes until i was locked up in a nursing home and could finally give into the 'older' smelling florals. Admittedly, i stalk the orabella website pretty frequently, considering i haven't liked any of the fragrances enough to buy a full bottle. I liked to fantasize about being a woman who could pull off such complex, unique profiles. Alas, I was stuck with the tiny trial sizes, indulging in a small spritz on my wrist that i would sniff at until i eventually showered it off so nobody would ever smell it on me. But then, one day, I decided to go onto the orabella website again. Completely on a whim. I had no idea that this fragrance was a thing. And something in me just told me to go for it. 100ml seemed intimidating, especially given my track record with orabella's types of fragrance. But I counted down the days anyways until it got to my door, and i was practically snatching it off my porch the second the mailman dropped it off. When I tell you that I was transported to that very moment in my laundry room the second I sprayed it on my skin and took a sniff....I was obsessed! This is genuinely the most beautiful-smelling, naturally floral perfume I could have ever asked for. I can't even begin to explain. I feel ridiculous typing out this entire thing when i look at the reviews and see how underwhelmed some people are by this fragrance. Maybe I'm overreacting. But i think its safe to say that, for me, this is a keystone fragrance. Seriously beautiful. Soft, ethereal, unprocessed - "safe" in the way that spring is safe. A pretty flower is well-liked by everyone. I feel like i've transformed into the woman from the old Clairol Herbal Essence Shampoo Commercial from 1971. Swimming around, surrounded by flowers and birds, 'smelling like a first day of spring'. I agree with some others about the longevity. It doesn't last. But the only heartbreak I get from that is knowing that this is a limited time fragrance, and at some point i'm going to run out because i keep reapplying it. Honestly, in a way, i find it poetically fitting for the fragrance itself. As beautiful as my neighbors tree was, its flowers only lasted for a couple of weeks. Spring is transitory - so is this perfume. Doesn't mean it shouldn't be appreciated for the beauty it gives. TLDR: Perfume good :)

Strangely enough I disagree with everyone that it's a real jasmine scent. I walk by jasmine bushes all the time on my walk home when it's in season and jasmine is much sweeter than this. This is very dry and clean. Smells a bit like the scent left after an ozone machine has cleaned a room. It's very laundry. I typically would hate this but it's grown on me. I bought it once, tried it for 3 days, didn't like it, returned it, then got FOMO and bought it again and loved it. The bottle color is so beautiful. I typically wear this alone to bed, or I layer it to go out. It has the same kind of vibe as Beach Walk from Margiela. It's nice with a sweeter scent layered. But I don't think it's a realistic jasmine. It's also very artificial smelling hence the laundry feel.

My favorite from Orebella's entire collection! I really wish it wasn't a limited-edition scent. I'm probably going to stock up just in case, but they need to make this a permanent scent! Beautiful jasmine perfume that doesn't turn into a grandma white floral. Very sultry. Not the greatest longevity but still love!

It’s a stunning photorealistic jasmine perfume that melts down into a soft musky skin scent. Truly comforting and the bottle is gorgeous! Sadly it doesn’t last very long or project, but if that’s not a deal breaker, I’d say try it! The cap twists off so you could keep the bottle and reuse it for other body oils.

Love this fragrance but it is a bit weaker and much lighter than her other fragrances. Layers well with her other ones, especially Blooming Fire or Window2soul

I would love this perfume if I could smell it. I mean I can smell it technically speaking, but it’s so insanely weak that I’m actually kind of offended that they are trying to price this at $100 in this economy. Genuinely though, it is a very beautiful perfume, very ethereal, but it needs to get sent back to the lab. If they rereleased it as a permanent edition, but fixed the formulation, I would absolutely buy it again.

I’m quite surprised no one is saying that it’s a cleaner version of Lash Lust or ‘dicitrused’ version of Luna by Penhaligon's! Smells like a beautiful powdery jasmine detergent/conditioner used on extremely soft Egyptian cotton bedsheets. If you enjoy calm, elegant and intimate fragrances, that’s definitely worth buying.

To me, this smells extremely similar to their Blooming Fire when initally sprayed. Heavily floral. The only aquatic notes are after it's way dried down and most of the floral is gone.

I was really excited to try this one, but my first impression was a bit disappointing. Initially, it smells like an air freshener, and then it settles into a very generic jasmine-aquatic scent. I was hoping for something more ethereal. It reminds me of popular jasmine scents from 2000s like Bvlgari. I have no idea why some people marked it as masculine scent. Compared to Salted Muse, which lingers on your skin for days with just one spray, this one barely registers even after five sprays. I’m a bit disappointed, especially since I bought the 100 ml bottle. I was looking for something more unique, but I will try blending it with other perfumes.

i was so excited about the notes, i bought it on launch day! it just came in, and im really disappointed. i was really excited for a musky white floral, but this really just smells like soapy bathwater. i also agree with the other “air freshener” comment. not in a bad way, but the smell is really just giving hair product or “i smell like i just got out of the shower”. the jasmine note is definitely there but i didn’t register musk at all. very low sillage, i feel like i can barely smell it after it sits on my skin for a few minutes, and my husband agreed it is quite faint.... :(

If you are nose blind to certain scents like musky/woody bases (likely ISO E-type materials) or can’t smell santal 33 or baccarat rouge, you likely will not be able to smell this perfume. I loved blooming fire by orebella and I am a jasmine fanatic so when I heard she was coming out with a jasmine centered fragrance, I was so excited. After spraying it on my skin and rubbing the oil, I smelt a glimpse of jasmine. Like when you drink a La Croix and there’s the tiniest, idea of a flavor. That’s Jasmine blues for me. I smell nothing after the initial spray, seriously half a second of Jasmine, then nothing. I really wanted to love this!

this is definitely my favorite scent by orebella. contrary to what a lot of people are saying, i feel that it does have a lot of depth. the first spray smells like straight jasmine tea. it's so lovely but it is a basic floral. but the dry down is so beautiful! i definitely smell the white lotus and the musk gives it this ethereal garden smell. the dry down gives evening fragrance, a warm summer evening that's blue and green. it reminds me of when i used to take walks in this victorian neighborhood lit by warm street lamps and there was lush green gardens everywhere. white and pink blossoms on trees, windchimes in the distance, you'd spot a couple lightning bugs, oh and someone's beautiful long haired cat would be sitting on the sidewalk waiting for a scratch on the ear. just magical. it does resemble window2soul but it's like her younger sister. I feel so clean and confident wearing this. it's very safe for the workplace. I do think it has the least lasting power out of all of the scents, which is quite disappointing. You definitely need to reapply and it sits very close to the skin. I was going to wear this to a bar but i felt like no one could smell me so i layered it with blooming fire and then i just smelt like blooming fire. it is a precious fragrance though, i'm glad i got the 100ml!

I didn’t want to like this, but I do. I don’t like the packaging, the bottle or design (the cap is terrible). I dont like that it does not come in a travel size. Not a huge fan of the marketing. Nothing about this branding intrigued me.. And yet... This is a stunning Jasmine perfume that I can’t stop wearing it. I like that it’s oil base because it tends to last longer of my skin. I like that it starts as a strong jasmine spent, but dries down to something really light and ethereal while still being comforting. I certainly don’t think that this is a safe blind buy, but as Jasmine tea lover, it really worked out for me.

A gorgeous fragrant, powdery jasmine forward scent, with a slightly aquatic touch from blue lotus with a silky musk. Which they nailed! The only top and mid notes I truly pick is rose, a slight clean moss and hint of a fresh spice from the clove but it’s barely there. And musk. If you’re scared of patchouli don’t be bothered by that I don’t detect it. Beautiful girly whimsical floral powdery clean fresh scent! Perfect for these warmer months. Smells like being on a planet where the time is always midnight and there’s night blooming jasmine illuminating the ground 💙

Obsessed with this line and this newest addition! This scent is very light, clean musky lotus on me and jasmine is more like the “jasmine” bush found in my native country. Not jasmine at all, but nicely fragrant white florals. It’s very gentle, the scent hugs you and lingers around despite being so light. I use quite the amount so my bottle got quite a dent. I need a back up. Overall very satisfied with this line, all fragrances are beautiful and different dna.

I absolutely love this perfume. My favorite loose leaf tea in the world is a bergamot jasmine green tea and this makes my skin smell exactly like it. It by no means is a strong or powerful scent, it’s very intimate. But it lasts a good 4-6 hours on the skin where you can smell it throughout the day. I was very pleasantly surprised by this one.

Jasmine Blues by ORABELLA is... really REALLY NICE! Not my "usual" type of JASMINE perfume, but I got a "Facebook ad" for it and... couldn't resist!! Light... soft... creamy... and... OH SO PRETTY. Just a "lovely" kind of perfume for spring and summer! Make sure to......... "SHAKE IT!"

The closest jasmine milk tea scent I've ever smelled. It's my favorite smell in the world, just need it to have more projection and last longer :( Also maybe its just my bottle, but it comes out in a stream and not a spray (maybe cause its oil).
