Utaki Sacre

This will be about the 20 ml oil rollerball Parfum version. Got said rollerball as part of a sale-trade and it's an alright scent. To me it smells quite similar to Escentric Molecules's Escentric 02 (which itself greatly reminds me of Memo's Irish Leather), but unlike Escentric 02 this has a more round, sort of creamy texture. It has transient similarities with MFK's Amyris Homme as well as this does have a floral amyris profile mixed with the cedarwood (probably just loads of Iso E Super) and Baccarat Rouge-esque saffroney touches. Obviously no oud is used here, not even a replica accord. Overall it's a nice scent but for the retail price ($1,600 MXN/~$93 USD) I can't help but feel it's overpriced, although being a 20 ml roll on this would probably last you a long time before you run out. I'm curious to try the EDP version but I'm assuming it probably smells the same. This isn't a pure oil, this is basically a spray fragrance that was added polyacrilate crosspolymer-6 to make it quite viscous, so it does have alcohol, hence it does project somewhat decently. I tried it on my wrist and although I didn't put much on I could smell this coming off my wrist for 2-3 hours, not very densely or strongly but noticeable. Longevity is what surprised me as it was basically completely gone in a matter of 4 hours but I probably rubbed my wrist against my clothes more than I realized.

This immediately appears as a clean masculine fragrance but it quickly evolves into a unisex luxurious bubble bath. Smells like bubbly champagne or a mellow white wine and also like a lot of sparkling foam with twinkling suds. I imagine taking a huge bubble bath with the man I love, whilst sipping a bit of Puligny-Montrachet... then going straight to bed, forgetting to dry off some bubbles from my neck and hair. This should be an incense/woodsy/spice fragrance so I don’t know how the notes contribute to a clean diamond/glass/crystal like accord. It evokes how the inside of an empty crystal champagne flute smells like after the champagne is finished; redolent of what a freshly scrubbed diamond should smell like. Do not be expecting a beast mode dark oud like in OFG, this is the epitome of CLEANLINESS IS NEXT TO GODLINESS; like a masculine unfruity Kirkè. It does become a skin scent but it’s a skin scent that I could smell for a long time. You must be into unisex (or slightly masculine), clean, skin type scents in order for you to appreciate this, so of course this isn’t for everyone. I fell in love with it and had to take a full bottle home right away! The bottle is exceptional quality, luxe, heavy, and embedded with a Swarovski crystal; looks like a galactic magic baton. ¿Did Sailor Moon design these gorgeous bottles? 🫧💎🫧✨
