Cote d'Azur

LOVE. I have used Oribe hair product for quite sometime before they launched the fragrance. The Cote D Azur is the signature scent. I believe the scent is one of main reasons (if not the main reason) the hair care is so successful. The scent is different than most and very addictive. I remember buying my first spray and the whole way home I kept sniffing it. Not sure exactly what note is so yummy. it's noticeable and stays on my skin a long time. I love smelling it throughout the day. And it's lovely to pair with the same scented hair product. I don't smell vanilla or powdery. It's a lovely well-balanced blend.

I can’t believe that people say this smells like Light Blue or Dylan Blue, both of which I do not enjoy at all. I LOVE this scent though and don’t smell any lemon (a note I personally hate), just something like Bergamont or yuzu. Its acquatic and citrusy but it smells to me like the kind of vacation in Sicily or Santorini on a private villa resort (that I’d never be able to afford). It’s super light, not too sweet, very unique. I love it. Wish it lasted longer but whatever. I have yet to smell ANY other scent that is remotely similar to my nose. It smells like a rich bitch and I live for it.

I love this, and I think it smells exactly like the hair products. It has a fresh/cool/watery feeling to it. It kind of reminds me of Chloe although much less floral and more citrus than Chloe. It lasts quite a long time, and I can see how it could be unisex, although to me it leans feminine. I tend to use this whenever I use a spray on Oribe hair product. I like that the scents coordinate, but this really is a beautiful fragrance in its own right. I will repurchase when I run out. I wear this more in spring and summer as it feels a bit too cool and fresh for cold weather.

First wear of Cote D'Azur: I thought I was in love. Reminded me of Lanvin's Eclat D'Arpege at first spray--a magical concoction of florals and citrus.I had never experienced the hair refresher, but many say it is similar. However, I found that after an hour or so, this fragrance gave me a fierce headache! So I now use it as a home spray. Somehow not being on my skin makes a difference. So I still get to enjoy this fragrance. Obviously I wouldn't buy again because it's a bit pricey for a home fragrance!

I absolutely love the hair care line and have loved the scent for years, so when I found out this perfume exists I had to buy a sample. It smells like it and I love it so much I bought the bottle. I just wish it lasted longer. It turns into a skin scent by 1.5 hours or so, but its soooo good I will always have a bottle on me. Its fruity, but not sweet. Woodsy but not masculine. Clean, musky, fresh. I put it on my pillow before I go to sleep. If you like the Oribe hair care, then you will like this.

I love this fragrance, at least from what I remember when testing it. I was getting my hair dyed at a salon and they had this for customers to try out, so I gave myself a spritz and fell in love. It is a fresh/fruity/woody scent, which I typically don't like as I am a gourmand lover. I feel like this perfume is easy to wear everywhere, even all year round, although it is probably best in spring/summer. It smells boujie, luxurious, and effortless.

Back when I used to buy a bottle of perfume and actually use the entire bottle before I bought a new one, I went through two bottles of this! I am now on my third. I got it originally as a sample about 8-9 years ago in an Etsy box. I love it. So fresh and clean, a bit woodsy with undertones of citrus. It’s the scent of a classy lady who is not overly fussy. Pair it with Dear Polly!

This truly smells of green apples on the skin with major notes of bergamot and florals. This remarkable scent is made for spring or summer, when florals are fresh and fruits are high. Imagine walking the streets of London and popping in and out of niche shops and local farmers produce markets. This is sweet and tart with a minute amount of floral powders. Refreshing!

whoever said this was an excellent dupe for fossil's sadly discontinued 1954 for women was Right on the Money! I was stunned, and my mom and sister who also used to wear 1954 but have better noses than I do were also really impressed! I can't speak to the wear time unfortunately

my perf summer scent! longevity is pretty lacking, but when i wear this with the oribe hair refresher in the same scent i feel heavenly. so fresh and juicy and green and floral all at the same time. a bit soapy but in the best way possible.

This is my favourite perfume of all time. I wish it was a little stronger, though. Beautiful and light enough for day but rich enough for nighttime.

Sniffed out of the bottle, I really enjoyed this the most of the whole line. It is the brightest and most feminine to me. Not to mention the bottles are so gorgeous. I hope this plays well on my skin someday. To be tested! ETA: Just got my bottle in the mail today. Oribe Cote d'Azur has sentimental value because I saw this out at a gorgeous bougie hair salon/surf shop with a dear friend. But folks, this fragrance is so CLEAN. I definitely smell the citrus and blackcurrant for a tiny touch of sweetness, and the Jasmine is fluffy (not indolic at all to my nose), and the vetiver is indeed prominent. I grew to love vetiver over the years in small doses in gourmand mixes (like a person stated below, I also primarily am a gourmand person). Cote D'azur is less screechy and woody to my nose than the D&G Light Blue flankers out there (though they smell lovely on others, and I like Light Blue Forever but not enough to keep. ) It is fresh and makes a presence like Mojave Ghost in vibe IMO, but Cote d'Azur is more citrus and wood instead of MG's floral powdery musk. I would maybe compare it to Versace Dylan Blue, but Dylan Blue is very very shower fresh, like a fruity Pantene with flowers, where as Cote d'Azur has similar vibes but is feminine-unisex instead of feminine. This fragrance delivers on freshness, though not exactly as the notes depict. Yet, I do ABSOLUTELY smell a great deal of bergamot in the opening. These citruses are lovely! I've noticed with this brand so far, that their fragrances all have an exceedingly clean nature to them. They smell high-pitched, and can be refreshing on hot days. As this dries down and the citruses abate, I smell the vetiver, but it isn't an earthy vetiver at all, it remains clean. It gives it a grounded nature though. I also smell a salty white musk here that I'm not reading anyone mentioning. It comes off as very fresh. Unisex? Yes, this is about 60% feminine to my nose (who cares though, wear whatever you like regardless of gender). Yes it's overpriced, and no I wouldn't pay the full sticker amount for it, but it's a great inoffensive, refreshing fragrance. It reminded me strongly of something, and I couldn't figure out what until I looked on here - it's Bond No.9's The Scent of Peace. TSOP has more juicy blackcurrant though, and more of an iridescent quality.

Several months ago, I purchased a travel spray size of Oribe Cote d'Azur. It was a blind buy; I had read a couple of reviews and just bought it. And it is a lovely fragrance. It starts off very citrusy - not sweet citruses, but not sour either - more aromatic than anything. Then the florals begin to peek through. I love the balance between the tuberose and the jasmine, with neither having dominance and neither very strong. The dry down is quite nice with the warmth of amber and sandalwood. It isn't heavily woody, but has that comforting warm sandalwood. While I do like the fragrance, I am very disappointed by the performance. It is a very light wear, lasting only a couple of hours with 4-5 sprays. Even in the heat, it does not project very well. I will not be purchasing a bottle, and will just enjoy the travel spray until it is gone.

This smells like Dolce and Gabbana's No. 3 l'Imperatrice. Fruity-woodsy, ozonic but a lot less sweet. I get the blackcurrant and citruses together (and it smells like cassis to me) but don't really smell the florals or the sandalwood. I like it but for essentially lasting like 6 hours and not even leaving a trail it's not worth the price. This also doesn't smell like the hair care line because it lacks that creamy, soapy note that's in their GoldLust hair line. I'm not sure what it is but I definitely prefer the smell of the hair care line to this. This is ok for what it is. I wouldn't repurchase but appreciate that it's more sophisticated than No. 3 (which is lovely, don't get me wrong) but definitely not worth $128.

Smells like the flamingo lotion from target ! I’ve been on the hunt for something that smells like the flamingo lotion and this is the closet! it also smells like glossier you a little which is weird bc I dislike glossier you.....but this I like ! at first spray I was confused and disappointed but as I let it set my nose adjusted to it (if that’s a thing ) I don’t smell any fruitiness or florals at all just the woodiness and aromatic which is what I was looking for

A citrus floral scent, with some woody note. If you have smelled their hair products this is pretty much the same (I only tried their shampoo and conditioner though) I agree this is similar to light blue. yes, very similar, cote d'azur is a bit more floral though. (hard to tell) Almost no longevity.. disappears within 2 hours if applied to skin. Got a sample but will not purchase the full size bottle.

such a beautiful summer freshie. Love the citrus notes with a bit of black currant - Oribe achieved what Versace only ever aspires to be - transcendent timeless powerful, yet playful. But then this fragrance comes with a catch - it disappears after a maximum of 2 hours. I find it quite sad - such an amazingly beautiful fragrance, yet it comes so diluted, it’s really not worth the full bottle for me.

Was there a mix up? I love the scent the scent of Oribe's hair products but this is not similar! Their hair products actually smell more like a fragrance, and this smells more like hair product. Regardless...This fragrance smells like the OG 90's Herbal Essences. Smells fantastic and brings back memories but not worth the price.

Clean citrus splash with generic Bath and Bodywork’s drydown. Very overpriced for what you get, to be honest. Disappointing because I loved how is smelled when I sniffed the lid. The bergamot was sweeter and it felt more feminine and luxurious. Will keep for days I am in the garden and don’t want to waste one of my faves.

This scent puts me in mind of Dolce and Gabbana’s Light Blue, but a bit stronger and more powdery. It smells more like a shampoo or shower gel than a perfume. Other than that it’s a nice casual scent, but not that remarkable. It would make a fantastic casual scent for work as long as you don’t overdo it.

Lovely, fresh scent for summer - citrus and woody without smelling like cleaning product or furniture polish! Fortunately for me I don't pick up on the blackcurrant note either. Dare I say it though, I prefer D&G Light Blue Italian Love which is about 90-95% the same, and at a cheaper price point.

Very fresh and fruity scent. Ideal for the warmer seasons! I love layering this fragance with others that have a similar trail but are stronger. It sits very close to the skin and doesn't have a strong sillage at all.

I’m getting apple juice with a touch of mild lemon candy. It reminds me of Salon Selectives hairspray in the early 90’s. Also smells like shampoo. A very clean fragrance with an airy floral feeling. Nice!

i use oribe hair products so i like this after a shower for a clean/fresh feeling, however, it's nothing to write home about

Beautiful scent. Thought it was supposed to smell like their dry shampoo but it doesn’t. It’s really nice though.

Smells amazing but only lasts about an hour on me.

I'm completely torn. The scent is amazing. Fresh, woody, earthy, and unisex with no cheap soap/detergent notes -- exactly the smell I was looking for! But it's soooo faint! I'm not willing to pay $125 for something that nobody can smell (including me) unless their nose is right next to your skin/clothes! Spritzed myself with the sample bottle multiple times this morning, including my clothes. Before I even left the house it was hard to smell on myself. I could barely pick it up in the car! By the time I got to work, the only way to detect it was to put my nose directly above my skin/clothes. After work, it's still there. So I guess technically it has great longevity... Another day. Experimented. Left arm: two sprays Oribe Cote de Azur. Right arm: one spray Oribe Desertlands then one spray Versace Yellow Diamond. Beginning of the day, almost identical. Yellow Diamond has an additional mild powdery/soapy smell. By the end of the day, I could smell the Desertlands + Yellow Diamond about 6 inches away from my skin. Cote de Azur only detected when my nose was touching my skin. I don't understand the comparison to Versace Dylan Blue for Her - - way more sweet and powder/soap smell.

I, like many others, wanted this to smell like the oribe hair products. I was really disappointed when it didn’t. Then, wanting to boost the citrus and make it a better summer fragrance, I layered it with Tiffany & Co Love for her EDP. Instant oribe hair product vibes!! Highly recommend layering these products if you were hoping for the hair product scent. (Also try the B&BW bergamot waters candle and wall flowers)

I have several samples of this and while I love the scent in hair products, I'm not sure how much I like it on my skin. I think I need to test it more in different seasons. The dry down smells a little bit like dirt on me, maybe it will be different in cooler weather. I could also mix it into my conditioner to get a hint of it since it works well in my hair!

An ozonic citrus freshie. Reminds me almost to a T of the CK Eternity flanker "Air". Received a sample card with purchase of hair care. Not something I'd personally buy because I'm into sweet, warm, and spicy for all over fragrance; but it doesn't smell bad. If you love the smell of this try CK Air for $20 at Marshalls.

truly shocking that this fragrance has notes. glossy, superficial, instaglam. like a very charming but undoubtedly parvenu young woman on a Sunday evening. edp? would recommend. 5/7

First impressions: (travel spray) Smells exactly like the oribe shampoo. Edit 1: 2nd opinion (while on my luteal phase). Smells like eau de vinegar. Youch!

Like a dustier, fruitier, more exotic estee lauder modern muse. Nearly the same dry down. Light to moderate sillage. About half a day of longevity

Definitely smells like a shampoo and I've never even used Oribe. Plasticky fruit.

Smells pretty. Just like the hair care line.. very summery!

This is a knock off of Calyx by Prescriptives

I'm not a fan of this type of perfume so I probably am not the best person to review this, but as citrus/aquatic fragrances go (and they are not a genre that I like) I can recognize a good one and this one smell just like their haircare products which I do not like at all. My hairdresser whom I adore uses this brand and wears this fragrance a lot and I just don't like the smell. As soon as he is finished w/ my hair I spray whatever I am wearing that day to get rid of the smell. It really gives me D&G Light Blue vibes, Light Blue w/out the bamboo. So, it is a tad better than Light Blue for me since I hate bamboo, but it still has that dude cheap citrus shower gel smell.

I have Oribe Curl Control Silkening Creme and it smells amazing. It reminds me of a scent of something from when I was a child. It’s citrus and floral with a herbal note to me. Cote d’Azur is similar in the middle notes but not exact or for very long. In the middle notes it reminds me of Anna Sui Secret Wish vaguely too. It’s very woody and earthy at first and returns to that after a few hours. I can’t really distinguish any of the actual notes given by Oribe. I’ve found it completely disappears from the skin after a few hours and has left a very woody scent on my clothes which I dislike. I’ll try my luck with the much cheaper Cote d’Azur Hair Refresher.

I love the hair care products and really wanted to love this, but I was disappointed. It smells so much like Tiffany and co Tiffany. I love light blue and I don’t get light blue at all, only Tiffany. Their hair care smells so addictive and intoxicating, this left me underwhelmed. It definitely needs the creaminess that the hair products offer as it’s too green smelling.

Citrus and woody notes blended well. It's just for the price thid reminds me of Victorias secret fragrances. Which are less than half the price.

The perfume is actually divine, although at first spray it is a lot more fresh than I would like (reminds me most of Glossier fragrance actually, which I do not like), but it developes on the skin beautifully in about 30 min. It is starting to smell more and more like their hair range which I adore. Would recomend if you like the smell of their hair range. Also I dont see a lot of D&G Light blue in this, it is a lot fresher on me.

Finally, some citrus with a real edge to it and does not straight-up smell like air freshener! I read once that this and Wood Sage & Sea Salt are Meghan Markle's favorite fragrances. I love the fact that this is also floral and not 100% citrus. Right now, this and Gypsy Water are my go-to fresh and uplifting scents. I'd wear them if I want to get psyched and feel alive.

Falling in love with the haircare means it's twice as delightful finding a fragrance that matches. This is sunny lemon, juicy bergamot and woody vetiver on me, and lasts HOURS. Well worth the $$ and just smells SO GOOD. After many hours it smells like expensive skincare to go with the expensive shampoo and I am also ok with that.

While this isn’t necessarily a bad fragrance, like others I do wish that this smelled more like the hair products of the same scent. I like the scent when it first goes on, but I find that later in the day it turns into a completely different scent - an almost old ladyish musty and dated floral.

I adore this fragrance that is in their current hair refresher. There's this bizarre, yet inticing rotting watermelon rind accord that is tapered off by it's sweet florals. I just hope that taking this from a hair deodorizer to fragrance translates well,

Sexy fresh citrus before sandalwood peaks through with the vetiver- elevated earthy. I love it but it’s so subtle & fleeting and unfortunately even layered with the hair/body oil, it doesn’t project or last. It’s like a sexy body oil vibe.

This smells very much like their hair products, which I like. It also smells a lot like D&G Light Blue, which I used to love but learned to use very sparingly. In any case, it's a nice summery scent.

It does smell like hair products combined with fabric softener. Overpriced - nothing expensive there, I'm afraid. Cote d'Azur in France smells much more posh and elegant - that's what I'm sure of.
