Desertland

This reminds me of my garden and the surrounding desert. It's a very realistic desert land scent. I don't really need a bottle because I can smell this by stepping outside. But if you're looking for a fragrance that smells like you have a house in the desert with a lot of rosemary and lavender bushes, like mine, this does the job.

Picked up the lavender right out of the gate, then juniper (which I thought was pepper until I read the notes). I very much get the cedar too, which is a lovely touch. Very sensual and almost masculine, but at the same time sweet and can be easily pulled off by a sexy femme fatale. My favorite out of the 3 Oribe fragrances.

Idk, this smells pretty good to me. I get a nice relaxing sandalwood right away. Reminds me of a woody or papery scent that Comme des Garcons would release, just with not as good performance. I think this is definitely something that only works on skin, though. My coworker liked it as well.

I love the top notes. The dry down is mediocre. Very good longevity. Moderate to intimate projection. It’s very woody, somewhat green, with a good bit of floral, which lands this perfume in the true unisex territory. I would even say it’s slightly more masculine, but not like you want go out and slaughter a bear kind of masc. The heart notes give off the olfactory equivalent of numbing pepper, which is super interesting. The dry down is just the ghost of what you have a couple hours before, so a little disappointing. Very unique but it’s still imo has some similarity to estee lauder’s modern muse.

This is an interesting fragrance! It's fresh, and pretty juniper. Nothing super woody, green or astringent. It was quite tame, but it has a dry, almost dusty quality. Yes, like the desert. So, well done Oribe! It smells accurately desert-y. I don't get realistic lavender in here (I rarely do, lavender is almost always different smelling in fragrance than it is IRL). But...there is a green, herbaceous undertone here. And again, it's dry, owing probably to the sandalwood and juniper. This is oddly pleasant, utterly unisex, evocative and deserving of it's title, but wearable and soft.

Overall, a very pleasant unisex scent. It starts out with a strong aromatic lavender bolstered by prominent pine and juniper notes. A bit later on, it becomes lighter and powdery before turning into a gentle pleasantly woody skin scent.

Bright pine and peppery bright jupiter. A bit woody and a bit papery. Masculine leaning but unisex. Nice if nothing too unique. I could see this really suiting the right person.

This is a very generic lavender, juniper scent upfront and then it becomes very cedar and vetiver heavy as it goes along. It's not bad but again for what you are getting there are cheaper alternatives out there. My husband sampled this one as well and said it was very generic and boring, and not worth the asking price. Again w/out sounding redundant all of these "perfumes" evoke the smell of either haircare products or fresh clothing out of the drier scent and I am sure that was the vibe they were probably going for. They have that mass appeal flavor to them, not that mass appealing is necessarily a bad thing but often today it means shampoo and or clean laundry vibes. I miss the days when mass appealing was more in the line w/ a bolder fragrance profile.

went through some ups and downs on this one. freshly sprayed, it's nearly fruity as it's still wet. then (and i'm sure this is anecdotal) i got something oddly reminiscent of the mall, though i couldn't nail it down. that was when i finally got the woods ! the scent of a state park with the lightest hints of tea and a vague essential oil. definitely leans masculine and i wouldn't recommend blind buying, but not a bad scent either ! addendum; after about 10 minutes it's turned slightly creamy? almost vanilla but without too much of the sweet.

Definitely smell the lavender at the beginning, it’s an interesting combination with the pine and the more woody scents, together they smell a bit soapy and artificial up close, but with a bit of sillage it’s more enjoyable. Reminds me somewhat of shopping in a Hollister circa 2010.

A pine tree forest next to a lavender field. I don’t smell sandalwood specifically, but I do pick up wood notes along with the pine and lavender. Overall impression: a commercial scent that plays nice.

Sniffed this our of the bottle. It's not bad! Just too woody and masculine for me. A shame, because I love desert themes.

Based on the notes, I was hoping this would be rich and good. It's primarily vetiver + sandalwood with something watery, like a cactus note. Not thrilled to wear or even sniff this. (Trying in cold weather, so perhaps that's a mistake!) A teensy bit of Angelica but it's very subtle. Unisex. Uninteresting.

Not for me. The pine is VERY strong

I was so excited to try this perfume since I saw it hyped up on instagram. It is literally one of the worst perfumes I've ever smelled. I can't even explain it. It just smells very musty. Not like old people musty, but just stale, and not pleasant at all. Thank goodness I only ordered the sample size, but I won't even be using that one. I don't know what Oribe was trying to do here, but it is surely a miss. I won't even put it on my body because I hated it so much on paper. Sorry Oribe! Not this time!
