Bakhoor

Oooohhh... this stuff... this stuff is magical! Woody, leathery, resinous, amber-y goodness! It leans masculine but smells divine on me (I'm a woman). It is so well blended that it just smells heavenly on skin. Projects a couple feet but lasts and lasts and lasts! Honestly, I don't think I'll ever go without this gorgeous elixir in my arsenal! And at only a few dollars a rollerball, it's worth a try. Btw, the packaging... the packaging on its own merits at least double, if not triple the cost. This company is phenomenal... I started out with 2 scents and now own 10... THAT'S how good they are

£4!! Seriously! A scent this good for £4! I got two perfume oils from Orientica, which appear to complement each other Bakhoor is the night to Velvet Musks day. There is a natural sweetness in this that stops it from being masculine, which is perfect for me since my skin amplifies sweet scents. The sillage on this is pretty good and oh my goodness when I tested this on my hand the remnants of the scent lasted through three 20 second hand washings. Will definitely explore more Orientica.

This is by far one of my best sleepy time scents. I picture myself in silk sheets and a black nightgown, Anouk Aimee eye-makeup - beautifully rimmed bedroom eyes with kohl, and a devilish smile. It's very Angelina Jolie. It's perfect for men and for women who have darker tastes.

At first I disliked this immensely. Then I tried just a dot on my wrist, and the longer I could smell it the more impressive it became. It's a great one to layer with other fragrances; I find that with rose it's dirty in a good way, sensual and addictive. Unbelievable performance for the price.

Beware, this is a really potent stuff!!! In the beginning, it's very leathery and smokey (maybe too much for my tastes), but then it becomes sweeter, ambery and resinous. I've personally found some similarities with Nudiflorum Nasomatto! Wonderful, I need to try some other oil of this brand!

POISON, the same as MAC Ruby Woo - trashed it immediately.

For an inexpensive Arabian oil, this is a winner. Performs well. Cool packaging - comes in a cardboard cylinder and sexy little rubber clad bottle. It's a deep resinous smoky creosote-type bakhoor with scorched caramel and hints of sour fruit in the dry down. It's not a pretty scent, more femme fatale.

I was expecting something darker, but its nice enough - its a slightly smokey, smooth leather smothered in caramel. I think the funny little bootle looks like a tiny pocket vibrator :p

After 5 minutes it begins to smell like Afnan Turathi Brown. A great scent for not a lot of money.

Smells to me like a sweeter version of TF Tuscan Leather/Ombre Leather
