Cuir de Orientica

Just received a full bottle, definitely a Creed Aventus clone or twist, like a smokey batch of Aventus, nothing like Moroccan Leather. This may be a production oddity of Orientica like when they originally released the first Amber Oud they would put a different juice in the bottle for different regions. Like some countries it would smell like Interlude Man or TF Tobacco Vanille or Oud Wood, even a Sospiro Ensemble, all frags that smell nothing alike. Then they released the flankers and kinda fixed the issue keeping them as separate frags. The listed notes here seem wrong, I don’t get any iris, violet, or styrax. Leather, pepper, cedar and orange kinda make sense for an Aventus twist but this is very smokey/birch heavy. This lacks the freshness and ambroxan of the original, a darker twist. It’s very good and lasts well past 12 hours on skin and I could still smell it after a long shower the next day. Projection is on the mild side of average, but you could just do a few extra sprays probably.

Very impressive! It starts off a little harsh with dry leather and black pepper but then the mandarin pops out and the combined with the leather it's just a great sexy confident scent. Probably more masculine but I just love it on me. The outer box has some gross rubber-y texture. That's probably the only downside I find here.

There is Cuir de Orientica, and Cuir de Orientica Noir Edition. These notes are correct. However the Noir Edition is fresher and doesn’t have the leather (go figure) and powdery notes.
