Melodie de Orientica

Received my bottle today, so I will write my first impressions and then come to edit it in a few days after wearing for a long weekend :) The presentation of the perfume is just, immaculate. I love it when businesses make it an experience to own their product. You are totally not let down here. But let's face it, it's a nice touch, but not what you're reading this for. The perfume itself. Now, I own Sintra but only in the 10ml travel form. I didn't want to blind buy it, nor did I think a small sample would have been enough for me to buy the full bottle. I LOVE Sintra, i would go and say it's my favourite fragrance, so when I heard there was an inspired version on it for a fraction of the price, I thought "let's give it a shot". WEWEE! what a blast when you first spray her! I instantly get this green, leafy smell (the petitgrain and negroli) blow up in your face like a floral bomb. I personally enjoy the scent, but I can see why people will be put off by it, it's very strong... A LOT more strong than Sintra, where it's smoother and (I would say) a wee bit more elegant. I gave it around 5 minutes to settle and I then that's when it smelt LIKE Sintra. Orange blossom, jasmine, cinnamon... it's wonderful. The orange blossom isn't as strong and I think this is where it is a wee bit of a letdown. It almost makes it smell a little cheaper? I would love some more of it in this perfume, but you can purchase some really nice, cheap orange blossom body mists/EDTs that can really help this go from a 9 to a 10, exact dupe. (Personally, I would recommend an oil, Fleurs d'oranger Orange Blossom Oil by Circus Brixton is PERFECT). As it can be extremely loud when first sprayed, I can see why people would be extremely put off with this. It could be headache inducing. Definitely do NOT spray in public or in an office. It worked with my skin chemistry very well. It's so unfortunate that some people don't get it. All in all for a first impression, I am sold. Aye, for some, if you're sensitive to very strong smells, I would avoid this. But if you're okay with them and happy to wait a few minutes with some OB spray, it's a great inspired perfume and for the price, it's excellent. I'm so happy I purchased this.

I've just received this and sprayed... the first 30 second of it were WHOA SWEET BABY JESUS sugared green/petitgrain citric blast! After about 2-3 minutes Melodie became sweet creamy neroli, marshmallow, vanilla and jasmin HEAVEN!!! I think it's a gorgeous day scent to wear any time of the year (maybe not in extreme heat), and I'm in love! For comparison, in terms of scent profile, I gave up on Ansaam Gold, it macerated for half a year and, though it got sweeter and stronger, it never lost that detergent/antiseptic odor, and I just couldn't! Melodie on the other hand, came ready to wow me. For you to love this scent though, you have to love neroli, appreciate green notes and like some spices. If you don't know what PETITGRAIN smells like (I didn't), find an orange tree, snap a leaf off, bend it until it breaks and smell that, if you can tolerate it (just like that) you will appreciate the opening of this perfume, and then the dry down will sweep you off your knees. To think I almost spent 4 times what Melodie cost to purchase Sintra... this is next to identical, and so beautiful! UPDATE: I sprayed one wrist with Melodie and the other with my beloved Prada Paradox Intense. I wanted to test Melodie's strength after sweating profusely, as PPI is a powerhouse. I put on my hand wraps and proceeded to box, run and do an ab workout for about 1.5 hours... I can barely smell Paradoxe Intense, but with just one spray, Melodie smells like someone recently opened a bag of marshmallows next to me... just delightful! PS: Orientica perfumes are the smoothest Arabian fragrances in my collection, all blind buy success stories. I own Velvet Gold, Amber Rouge, Royal Amber, and now Melodie, and they are all amazing, no regrets!

Top fragrance of all time for me right here besides Poison & Fakhar. Out of all the inspired dupes I've tried..I love this one the best..orange and green notes at the top mixed with fluffy fuzzy marshmallows and because of the green petitgrain notes added to this fragrance it makes it stronger, more interesting and enjoyable the way I love fragrances to be. Not for the faint of heart. You gotta love green leafy notes along with sweet gourmand notes. But this is beautifully blended. This is a performer..lasts minimum 4-5 hours. I was smelling it all day even until the next day on clothes. My top favorite right now for presentation, packaging, and quality of scent and performance. In comparison it smells like the most delicious orange, grape fluffy cotton candy one can engulf themself with. If you love green notes this is just so beautiful. Since I love Chanel 19, Poudre, Iris dragee and Prada's Infusion de Iris I knew I was going to love this. When your driving around with the wind hitting you all you get is wafts of this fragrance. It is Oriana, Killian LDBS & Sintra all in one. Outstanding fragrance! Highly recommend. I'm going to eventually buy a back-up I love it that much. I'm also going to use up all my other LDBS/Oriana dupes and just buy this one for now on until I can afford to get Sintra. Packaging and bottle are top notch and my favorite colors in teal and very artistic looking. Box is equally good for the price. Orientica line is a top notch line worth trying!

I LOVE this perfume! I realized that my favourite scent profile is anything with lemon zest/orange peel mixed with vanilla/ marshmallow. I love devotion, LDBS, jimmy choo illicit, YSL cinema (old version). I have never smelled sintra. I have Ansaam, but I don’t like it! Melodie is BEAUTIFUL! Sweet marshmallow right off the batch, but it is mixed with the green essence of orange leaves and orange blossom. Like the whole orange tree mixed with marshmallows! Can’t comment on longevity yet! But this perfume is beautiful to my nose! It’s LDBS plus orange tree leaves in it! Still quite sweet and marshmallowy and soft! Beautiful! I’m so happy that I found it! Btw, this is not similar to Ansaam, they both have neroli and that’s it. Ansaam smells like incense mixed with neroli and a sharp metal, this is beautiful marshmallow orange leaves and neroli in a classy clean sweet way. I absolutely don’t like ansaam but love melodie. Ps: the original box is beautiful but extremely sticky for some reason! I don’t know if it is a universal issue but mine is sticky no matter what I do. Bottle itself is ok.

I cannot get enough of this scent! The fragrance itself is just as pretty as the bottle and i’m quite literally addicted. I’m not even a huge marshmallowy, sweet, uber girly girl that i feel this scent embodies, but i don’t care i love it so much. I usually grow tired of my full bottles within a month or two but i’ve owned this for almost a year now and continue to wear it almost daily. As with Sintra, warm weather really brings out the magic in her, but can still easily be worn year round. Melodie is the scent i wear when i want to feel playful and flirty, not to be mistaken for juvenile. It creates this quietly fluffy addictive scent bubble that always garners compliments from those close enough to get a whiff (every time i wear this around my sister she asks me what i’m wearing, my mom and my grandmom have also complimented me on it) If you love Sintra, you have to get your hands on this! Truly a fantastic dupe in a bottle just as beautiful as the original

Writing my second review after owning this perfume for 8 months: This is obviously an excellent dupe of Sintra however I must say this one stays green and fresh spicy for longer. It smells fresh and citrusy for the first two hours almost, however the dry down is heavenly. It’s so delicious and candy like that it almost doesn’t smell like a perfume. If you didn’t know this was a perfume you would assume somebody opened a fresh bag of marshmallows near you and you got that delicious whiff of sugary soft sweetness. The fragrance stays strong for quite long, I remember spraying myself with this an hout before going to sleep and in the morning after like 8-9 hours of sleep I could still smell it, it’s especially long lasting on clothes. This however is not a cheap dupe. The original is extremly expensive in my opinion but this ain’t exactly affordable either. It usually sells for around 90-100€ but I got it in sale for less. I think it was well worth the money.

Just received this beauty in the mail today secondhand, so she had already macerated. I didn't like it upon initial spray since I have a love/hate skewing hate with neroli, but the marshmallow accord begged me to wait. After dry downs, this is a creamy neroli musk. I smell no spices whatsoever, so this must be well-blended OR it's just that my skin doesn't reflect all the notes in a perfume; I have noticed that many perfumes are extremely linear on me and I often can't smell accords that you would think are heavy-hitters. Or my nose is simply not refined. Anyway, upon drydown, she's a gorgeous scent, I wished it lasted longer, but my skin eats perfume so I'm used to it. Edit: Every time I sprayed it, it smelt like maple syrup. I couldn't get past it so I sold it.

I bought this two weeks after blind buying Sintra by Memo. I love Sintra so I wanted something that smells the same but for a lower price. This smells 98% like Sintra. The opening is pretty much the same, sharp, green and citrusy but the dry down is slightly different. Melodie lacks a few notes in Sintra; resins, milk, cedar and added praline notes instead of the caramel in Sintra at the base notes. The dry down in Melodie is very sweet and candy like while Sintra’s dry down is a bit more musky lactonic. All in all Melodie de Orientica is an EXCELLENT dupe for Sintra and I’m glad I can overspray this with less worry because now I basically have 150 ml of Sintra lol. If I had a chance to smell Sintra before buying the original I’d definitely just buy Orientica.

I adore Sintra with every fiber of my being and this is a great dupe, but it lacks the lactonic accord and the nuance that makes Sintra so amazing in my book. Don’t get me wrong, it’s very close and quite enjoyable. In fact, Melodie is well done and close enough that you don’t need to buy Sintra, but to my nose, Sintra is on another level. Still, I opted for Melodie, because ya’grrl needed to save some coin. Do I regret it? Some days no, some days yes. On the plus side, this is a notch or two above your average dupe in quality and the performance is on par with the og.

I get so much Turkish delights from this. It's a strong like, wish it had a little warmth to it to add some depth Update: it's been 3 months and I still don't like the initial opening. It's not bitter or too green but it's simply overwhelmingly strong. Thankfully it settles down after 15 minutes. However the juice have had time to mature and I can tell you the dry down is the most addictive sensual musky vanilla/marshmallow. This just got bumped up from a like to a love.

Love, Love, Love! This is so nice, this smells like a greener version of LDBS!! I haven’t smelled Sintra yet so I can’t comment on the similarities there. This truly is beautiful especially in the dry down. You can smell the marshmallows and orange blossom while it still retains the greenness that you get from the beginning from the neroli and petit grain. The packaging and presentation of the bottle is also fabulous!! ❤️

Oohhh yessss!!! I adore love don’t be shy. This is like that but with a clean floral slightly green woody opening. The opening mellows out after a couple minutes but it does remain at a much lower level than what it opens with. But that combined with the rest of the fragrance which is basically LDBS, makes for a gorgeous fragrance. Brings a touch of sophistication to a very sweet sexy scent. I adore this!

A new favorite! Killian's Love Don't Be Shy is just okay to me, and I had never tried Sintra, but I do love white florals. So I blind bought Melodie, and it paid off! What a divine scent. It's one I will repurchase again and again. I get compliments every time I wear it, and the lasting power! I can brush my hair days after I've worn Melodie and still get wafts of it. 10/10 !

Close enough to Sintra that I don’t feel the need to own a FB of Sintra now, and the sillage and longevity is better, honestly. My other perfumehead friend (who’s pretty bougie) loved this so much she jokingly tried to steal my bottle. It’s that good.

Out of all, LDBS, Oriana, Ansaam Gold, Barbie Zara and all the smell-a-like perfumes I've tried, this is the one for me and now that people say Sintra is even greener, I want it too. A love 😍

A bit sharp at first, after about 6 minutes this perfume becomes really delicious, irresistible and sexy.

Melodie is such a yummy marshmallow fragrance. It isn't sickly sweet or light and fluffy, though. It's grounded and sophisticated -- I think thanks to the cardamon. You could get away with wearing this any time of year, day or night. It's not a sexy fragrance, but it's pretty. Very unapologetically feminine. The first few days I wore Melodie, the projection was intense -- I sprayed it twice on paper and it filled the room for the whole day. After a week of wearing it, I can hardly pick it up -- so be cautious of getting anosmic to it fairly quickly. I haven't experienced Sintra or Love Don't Be Shy, so I can't comment on the similarity, but it's a wonderful fragrance in its own right. The bottle and package are absolutely beautiful. It would make a wonderful gift if you know someone keen on gourmands.

If you love neroli and orange blossom, you will love this! It is such a refreshing white floral where the neroli and orange blossom take center stage. The cardamom and cinnamon add a little something something to the fragrance. It is such a pretty and classy scent. The marshmallow and vanilla/praline all work together to add a fluffy, sweet airiness to the scent. Love it! The bottle is classy as well. LOVE! Edit - This smells almost identical to Lattafa's Ansaam Gold. Only difference is that this is a bit stronger and the neroli stands out more. Otherwise, it's 90% the same as Ansaam Gold.

a spicier, deeper version of LDBS. the cinnamon/spiciness makes everything a little less linear than it could be; it switches up the monotone sweetness from the marshmallow. I personally have an intense aversion to spices in fragrance, but I have really grown to like how it's done here. I can't vouch for its similarities to Memo Sintra, but I DO understand the comparisons to LDBS. longevity/sillage are amazing for what it's worth, if you're looking for something with that same sugary-sweet scent profile at a fraction of the cost, this is it.

Currently, I’ve sprayed Sintra on one arm and Melodie on the other. You can definitely tell the difference in quality. Melodie comes across like peppermint bubble gum | Rootbeer with powdery dry down Sintra comes across like a crisp greener version that doesn’t smell cheap. However Sintra has had almost two years to develop whereas Melodie just got delivered in the cold so I will come back with another review but for now I’m not vibing with Melodie. She gives me heartburn. Sorry guys! Both heavy on the orange blossom and sweetness!

*UPDATE* I went grocery shopping and the lady at the checkout said I smelled amazing and asked me to write the name down of the perfume!. I was gifted a few perfumes from the Orientica line and this is my favourite by far!. When you first spray you get hit in the face with Orange Bloosom but then it settles beautifully and the combination of Rose and Marshmallow comes through. I quite like it!.

EDITED JULY 2026: I blew through a 100ml bottle of "Melodie de Orientica" and recently decided to repurchase it. Repurchasing Melodie was a mistake. Sadly, Melodie de Orientica no longer resonates with me. With my first bottle, I felt Melodie de Orientica was a 99% dupe for my much loved Memo Paris "Sintra." Sintra is a perfume I love and wear. I've worn Sintra for nearly two years. And Sintra is expensive. And after nearing the end of my 3rd bottle of Sintra, as well as experiencing MANY orange-blossom centric fragrances, I realize Melodie isn't as close to Sintra as I initially thought. To my nose, Melodie de Orientica has a persistent, never-ending, start-to-finish, piercing bitterness that I find completely off-putting. Melodie opens and develops with a prominent and sharp, extremely bitter~green note (petitgrain, neroli) that ALL the other orange blossom fragrances I own/owned and like/love do not have. And for me, the relentless, sharp, green accord in Melodie completely eclipses the warm, smooth, creamy sweetness I've grown accustomed to with most orange blossom fragrances. The sharp accord overshadows all the other notes in Melodie, be they marshmallow, floral, sweet, vanilla, or musk. And to make matters worse, this time 'round the juice is a viscous, oily, thick, orange brown liquid that badly stains EVERYTHING it comes in contact with. Ugggghhhhhh...sooooo disappointing.

It is a well done perfume, but for the lovers of LDBS DNA, so, it is not for me. Also, it stains light colored clothes. It has good performance.

I just can’t with this, not even sure the mix of what this makes me sick. I’m currently selling it.

I couldn't wait to get my hands on this, and when I did... I got smacked in the face with a strong green LDBS. I knew it was coming but I was still taken aback. I didn't know how I felt about it at first. So, I sprayed some on and went about my day in the house. I got a compliment from my husband; I was surprised because he hates LDBS- I usually get negative comments from him when I wear that. This on the other hand he absolutely loved! He said the whole house is filled with it even before I came downstairs. Needless to say, it's a BEAST of a fragrance and I only did 4-5 sprays. I have never tried Sintra, but I did notice the note structure is almost exactly the same. Its thicker and denser than LDBS and projects and last forever even on skin- that was surprising to me on the back of my hand it lasted 8-10 hours. thankfully the petitgrain doesn't last too long- all of 10 minutes and its gone. the blooms the beauty. This will choke you out so go easy on the trigger and maybe save it for the cold seasons. Just a little update: I sold my bottle because it was too strong it choked me out every time, I wore it. I don't know I guess I'm a wuss I couldn't handle it and I love heavy hitters but this one hit too hard and cut off my oxygen supply. It's been 4 months since I decluttered, and I don't regret it. I still have LDBS and Oriana and I love those. I guess it was that thickness and denseness in the air. As beautiful as it was, I prefer more airy perfumes.

Love this one! Wonderful quality for a dupe fragrance! Potent with good longevity and sillage. Opens sharply with a stark green bitterness, but that fades in minutes to a less candy-like love don't be shy. I can feel the orange blossom and neroli and there is definitely a fluffiness from that marshmallow, but that green undercurrent helps balance it a bit. Smells like spring and summer. I can't compare to Sintra, but I smell the same sharp opening that is present in my Marfa sample which leads me to believe this may be pretty faithful to memos DNA but can't be sure.

I expected something harsh in the opening and very green based on reviews, but I smell a soft, fresh, lovely summer floral. At least to me it smells like a floral garden in warm soft afternoon sun. I get sun oil vibes, it reminds me of Monoï by Yves Rocher. I feel it is inoffensive and comforting, “huggable”. Suitable for everything except evening formal, it would get lost in the sea of ouds, roses and whatever strong juices people spray. I imagine a put together lady dressed in pale pink. I like it! It is a no-brainer.

I own Sintra and had to purchase Melodie to try. They smell very similar. You definitely don’t need both. Sintra is smoother, I guess that’s a milky note there. Melodies has a sharper opening in my opinion. Dry down on my skin is almost identical. Longevity is decent. UPDATE: after 1.5 years of using them side by side I can say for sure it lasts muuuuch longer than Sintra.

I purchased Melodie de Orientica before having tried Sintra or Oriana, and have since received samples of both. I would say it is closer to Oriana than Sintra (Sintra is a little sharper and spicier). And LDBS is similar to Oriana, so it also has a simiar vibe to Melodie. All three have prominent orange flower and marshmallow scents.

This perfume is absolutely gorgeous! It's a perfect blend of sweet and floral notes with a hint of spice. I get compliments on it all the time. The vanilla and marshmallow in the base notes are so comforting and warm, while the neroli and orange blossom add a touch of freshness. Highly recommend!

Odd combination of Maroussia and Maroc Pour Femme. Yellow pollen, neroli with rose and a sort of candied orange blossom. The sweet notes are a bit much for me though. They are very clearly there and very clearly candy. Well done, but not for me. The bottles are retro gorgeous though.

This is my olfactory synesthesia A sunny warm spring day... sitting in a meadow... sun on skin... grass and flowers. I get light, air, the flowers, the warmth and the comfort. Definitely a keep

Now that I have had this a while I don’t live it much. The green notes are way too strong and headaches inducing. Almost gone and will not rebuy. And for the price the performance is not good.

This is not as smooth and an easy reach as Sintra, but for the price it’s ok if you’re looking for a neroli / orange blossom scent Personally I don’t think it’s comparable to LDBS and Oriana

Great fragrance. I regret selling my bottle of love don’t be shy, so I purchased this! It has some green aspect that makes it more like sintra, but that’s actually a good thing!

I own both Sintra and Melodie. They smells almost the same. Melodie is creamy while Sintra is more crisp..

This is pretty much identical to Sintra. So much so that I don’t feel the need to own both.

Opening is really rough honestly, but the drydown is sublime and creamy. I love.

Neroli, vanilla, white flowers. This is for woman. I did not like it that much.
