Oud Saffron

I bit the bullet and blind bought this fragrance, because a previous review said it smelled like Oud Bouquet, and they are right. Initially, I was afraid this would be too masculine for my taste, but it is unisex, and actually leans feminine in my opinion. I often wear pure amber resin, and this resembles amber resin, but amber resin is a little sweeter. It is woody, sweet, spicy, fluffy, and delicious. The vanilla reminds me of marshmallows. It is a syrupy scent, so I will only wear this fragrance in colder temperatures, otherwise it may be too cloying and overwhelming. It is for sure a night scent, but could be a day scent if sprayed lightly. The sillage is explosive. I walked out of a room and smelled myself when I was walking back in - tasty, and that was only with one spray. Longevity is eternal, I showered and still smelled it on my skin 24 hours later. On clothing, you smell it until you wash or dry clean the garment. I plan to get a backup bottle just in case the price ever becomes ridiculous or they stop making it.

From this, i get a vanilla, chocolate vibe (likely from the patchouli) with some warm spices. I also get the screechy feeling on the nose from the saffron up top and the oud comes on pretty quickly (not the animalistic variety). This scent lasts a long time on my skin. It definitely has that middle eastern vibe and is very well blended. I like this very much but my time to wear this in hot, sunny Florida will be very limited to cooler days and nights. This smells more of a dressed up scent than a casual t shirt and shorts kinda scent and would be office safe if you don't overspray. I got a really good deal on a tester with cap. Don't think i would pay more than $50 for this but make sure you try before you buy, it may not be a blind buy safe purchase for everyone. Definitely not generic, though i haven't tried Roja Amber Oud for comparison, but is pretty unique to my nose even with my 500+ bottle collection.

It is a powerful and long-lasting perfume, Its initial burst of oriental notes and vanilla is striking, and the vanilla note accompanies the fragrance throughout its development. During the drydown, saffron and patchouli stand out, concluding with soft notes of musk, oud, and gaiac wood, which, combined with the other notes, give it a delightful and chocolaty character. For cold climates, evenings, and with a subtle touch for daytime wear. Its longevity is exceptional, and its sillage is moderate after drying down. It is a unisex fragrance with a slight inclination towards masculinity; however, it is also perfect for women due to its sweet and enveloping notes. One of the finest purchases I have made in oriental perfumery.

When I first got this I liked the Velvet Gold better. Now it has been almost a month since I wore it first time and to my surprise I am starting to prefer this one over the velvet Gold. They are both lovely, but saffron is one of my favourite notes and there is no lack of that in this perfume. It is strong, but not disturbingly so..I am glad I hunted down a 150 ml bottle, so I don`t need backup. I bet the prices are going up.

Just tried this for the first time on clothing, and the saffron totally dominates. The oud backs it up nicely. Some other wood scents too, which could be the guiac. The musk rounds everything out. Love the scent, but feel it might work better layered with something else. It leans very masculine to me.

This smells 98% close to Lacombe Oud Bouquet! Beautiful spiced oud, a tinge of grungy patchouli, thick sweetened saffron, smooth vanilla and a hint of coolness and lift from the musk notes. Addictive!

I am not a big fan of Saffron. But, this bad boy right here did Saffron so well that I have nothing to complain about. An absolute stunner. Sweet, spicy, sexy, and classy..... All in one bottle.

A saffron bomb...and it's gorgeous!

This is a very strong perfume. It is very similar to Oud Bouquet, but more woody and with way more longevity. This perfume has been on my skin for around 14 hours and counting. It starts with a very similar scent that Oud Bouquet but more dry, and no rose at all. The only sweetness you'll find comes from the vanilla, which will last for about 5-6 hours. After that, you'll only get woody notes. This is a unisex perfume that on the late dry-down smells a bit more masculine leaning, because of the woodiness. This perfume could be considered a dupe of Oud Bouquet only for the first 4-5 hours, and a dryer, less sweet version of it. After that, this perfume resembles more Hayaa from Swiss Arabian and when all the other notes fade out, and you get only the woody notes, it smells like Santar Austral, from Matière Premiere. Absolutely. This is not a linear scent at all. Very pleasant, though.

I loved this since the moment it came in back in December! It is such an absolutely comforting scent. It’s spices, saffron and wood mostly to my nose. The patchouli pokes through a bit but I also do not detect any vanilla. There is a smooth almost creamy sense to this which may be where the vanilla lies. It’s smells like a winter lodge or evening Christmas mass. It is 100% unisex. I almost put it in my husband’s collection, but I like it too much! It’s definitely for fall and winter in my opinion. It’s lush and cozy perfect for the cooler months!

This is an oud/saffron explosion. The oriental notes are beautiful but it may be too 'foreign' for some. My husband says I smell like incense when I wear this perfume which is disappointing. I love a saffron AND oud, and this fragrance truly hits both scents beautifully. It has quite a strong projection, and performance is eternal for me. For the price, you really can't go wrong with it.

A very nice, and very long lasting, spicy Oud/Saffron/Vanilla combo with strong projection. I cannot comment on how similar it is to Oud Bouquet or Shaghaf Oud, but the Praline and Rose notes from said fragrances are missing in here (instead, you will find Spices, Patchouli, Musk and Guaiac Wood accords). To me, this fragrance leans masculine. Spray with moderation, it is very strong.

I got this in a variety pack with 4 other fragrances from Orientica (7.5 ml each). Very nice oud + saffron combo. Strong sillage, eternal longevity and totally unisex. Love it. However, to me it smells identical to Oudh 36 Nuit by Al Haramain (which I have), so a FB of Oud Saffron would be redundant for me. I'm happy with my little 7.5 ml bottle.

an odd smell but nice. Smells to me like a blue metal, it has a silver, flat quality to it that stings the nose but in a good way. Well rounded but again quite a different smell that I have not really picked up in any other fragrance. Worth a try no doubt.

I was sent this but was too much for me. And gave it to my husband to wear.....oh my goodness is it SEXY on a guy!. I can’t stop sniffing his neck. He has told me that he has also gotten many compliments at work. Definitely let your man try this!.

This is a very nice dark, oud, saffron scent. The only complaint I have is there is this thick syrupy aspect to it that I just don't care for that much. Other than that it's a 10/10 lovely for the evenings.

After wearing this for a bit here is my take. I cannot for the life of me smell the vanilla notes. Rubber yes, Oriental yes, Oud yes, Patchouli yes, saffron kind of. The first spray was horrid with burnt tire rubber and strong patchouli. The dry down after an hour was far more pleasant, but sadly nothing extraordinary.

Identical in every way to Shaghaf Oud. There really is no difference whatsoever.

No pude con esta fragancia, tiene un olor metálico que dura mucho tiempo. Demasiado pesada y fuerte.

If it’s 🥶 & you need some soothing & comfort BUT absolutely MUST like heliotrope powdery (not like baby powder) & for me, on me? The powdery accord should be in the top 3 accords on this page... I like it with psychedelic love ... I wanted the powdery... once it dries all the way down I might hit it with some by the fireplace too to accentuate the guaiac I want to smell more of here... maybe it will peek 🫣 through in drydown... I’m getting a full bottle of this... definitely 👍🏻 ... YES! 🙌🏻 absolutely spray a touch of BtF!

Beautiful spiced oud with a bit of gritty patchouli, rich sweetened saffron, creamy vanilla, and a coolness and lift from the musk notes. Addictive! Top notes include Oriental notes and Vanilla; middle notes include Saffron and Patchouli; and base notes include Guaiac Wood, Agarwood (Oud), and Musk. It tastes woody, sweet, peppery, fluffy, and delectable. The vanilla tastes like marshmallows. It has a sweet aroma with a strong sillage. Longevity is limitless. It's a saffron bomb, and it's stunning!

My bottle has aged maybe 2-3 years and at first it smelled very similar to Lancome's Oud Bouquet (which I was happy about). However, when I smell it now it has morphed into a saffron bomb. It smells like the blue gel the dentist uses to fill your cavities. In fact, this is the most dentist-like scent I've ever owned, and I hate the dentist. Very sweet but pungent, quite masculine too. I definitely don't need the full bottle that I own, even though it is gaudy and gorgeous.

Oud Saffron is Intense with that original discontinued Oud Bouquet by Lancôme DNA! That's the One! This is THE BEST interpretation of THAT OG DNA. The same Spicy Woody Grit & Heavy Saffron Trail-like Blend; Phenomenal Stuff. Potent and Eternal Staying Power (I'm talking over 13hours on my SKIN!). Such a Blast of Power and Presence. Wow🙌🏾

Why does this smell like leather and wasabi to me? No, thank you. A little too spicy.

Lasts forever on clothes. Addictive scent. To me, it's masculine.
