Pistache Absolu

To be fair, I purchased this one because I am obsessed with pistachio ice cream and I also found the bottle very appealing. The presentation did not disappoint. Heavy and metal detailed bottle, sturdy cap. Nice box. I was really scared about this perfume as I am not a gourmand person, at all. But this is not gourmand IMO. The opening is interesting there is something fresh and citric on top of the pistachio. I dare to say I thought I “heard” a little mint whisper but it soon disappeared. The dry down is a plot twist. It reminded me of something I could not put my finger on. Then it hit me: that classic Johnson’s baby pink moisturizer. Now I cannot unsee it. I did not overspray as I do not want to be overwhelmed too soon. I has a great longevity. 8+ hours. it also worked really well on top of some sharp green fragrances. I am still learning it. Will come back for more once I try it on a hot humid weather. UPDATE: I’ve been wearing this for a while now and I am in love. Even when over-sprayed it is not cloying. The drydown is beautiful. I still get the Baby Johnson pink lotion, but it has been one of the best fragrances to layer. It works with vanilla, tea, fig, citrus. When I wear it before going to bed, I wake up next day smelling as if I had just sprayed it. I am super happy with my purchase.
