Violet Oud

This smells gorgeous. It, like every Orientica oil and spray I have tried so far, is POTENT. It lasts hours, and I smell it every time I move. I have been wearing this for at least three hours and like Orientica Floral Rose (a spray) it hasnt changed much at all. Its still just as intense and still smells just like it did when I applied it over 3 hours ago. The packaging is wonderful. It comes in a small, sturdy cardboard cylinder similar to the way Pink Sugar is sold. Its made to last at least as long as the product inside does, and does a great job of keeping heat and light out! The bottle itself is tiny and cute, with a matching soft silicon cover that fits over the bottle all the way to the matching metallic lid. Personally, I feel that this smells similar to Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy edp, enough that I am going to layer mine with this on top of some nice vanilla body cream. I wouldn't call it a dupe, but there is a definite similarity. I dont smell peach, citrus OR pear. I smell blueberries. Wonderful, sweet, wild blueberries. And warm sandalwood and amber. And a lovely sweet and solid vanilla wafting through the entire duration its on. A tiny dot on my wristbone lasted all the way through an energetic handwashing with good strong soap! I am going to try to dab this on the ends of my hair and see what happens. Two thumbs waaaay up! This is definitely something not to pass on if you love sweet, strong vanilla, and blueberries.

I'm a newbie to oud, but I can't really detect any here. I get beautiful, sweet powdery heliotrope dominating over a soft cloud of woody vanilla. It makes me think of parma violets if they dressed up for a night out on the town, lol. I don't get the listed bright fruity notes at all, but something darker like blueberries or blackberries. One curious sniff in a store and I gasped because I wasn't expecting it to smell so PRETTY. It's a strong, long-lasting scent that pairs wonderfully with anything vanilla, and goes PERFECTLY with the Colab Black Violet dry shampoo I often use! It lasts for days on clothes and it's just so lovely to catch a little whiff of it every now and then. Disclaimer: All reviews are my personal scent opinion only, please take them with a grain of salt!

I adore this scent! I didn't think I'd like it as much as I do... I'm not a big floral lover but I do like my sweet/gourmand scents.. too me this smells like candied violets. Like a giant bouquet of violets dipped in liquid sugar. So pretty, so feminine! It doesn't have to much throw (lil more then arms length) but it lasts for hours! Really delightful.. always puts a smile on my face and i get compliments everytime i wear it. Will definitely be getting another bottle when this one is gone

This one is extremely sweet, which is great since I like obscenely sweet scents. On me, it opens with the peach. After that, I get some powdery heliotrope and creamy vanilla. It continues on with a bit of sandalwood and musk at the base, with the sweetness still hanging around. I smell no oud. It can be found for under $10 and lasts quite a while. It's the next day and I can still smell it on my skin. Not as sweet, but still there.

Candied peach & vanilla on my skin with a cloud of heliotrope. This is my second Orientica perfume oil purchase and I am keen to try more. What a potent little number! I leave a room and when I come back in a few minutes to half an hour later, a hint of this is still in the air.

Beautiful and feminine. It smells like flowers and candy and it lasts forever! Creamy and fruity with just the right amount of spices, the vanilla notes make it smell truly edible. It's a happy scent to me and a real head turner, it gathers lots of compliments from strangers.

It's sweet and powdery at the same time. Not overly sweet, but might be too sweet for the warm days. Like person before me said, it's not juvenile, but elegant and sexy. Compliment getter. For the price - just a steal.

Candied heliotrope! It's strong and delicious- I have the oil version. This does to heliotrope what Insolence by Guerlain does to violets. On my skin it has some chocolate undertone.

This one is a powerful little knockout. Sandalwood, pear, violet, sugar cookie. Wafts off my skin smelling like “cotton candy” This one is super strong.

I adore everything about this scent. It's very sweet but doesn't smell juvenile, I think due to the oud, which comes out during the dry down. LOVE

Very sweet, very vanilia. I smell candies with heliotrope there. Oud? Hmmm...where is oud there....? It is pleasant in cold winter time. My next perfume in oil from ottomania.pl :)

Creamy, charming little scent! Light purple in aura and nicely grounded in a dreamy musk. Hard to dislike and easy to wear. I have not smelled Hypnose, but this is rather a sweet little powdery floral musk. It doesn't smell like Pink Sugar to me at all, expect possibly in the powdery sweetness. If you love sweetness, powder, gentle wood, florals, and musk together it will be hard to dislike such a creation. Complex yet simple - gentle yet strong. Recommended and delightfully packaged for gift giving. A budget thrill!

Violet Oud is a real sweetheart scent. Creamy vanilla, heliotrope and sandalwood have the perfect dance partners in the sweet, fresh, fruity notes. It's been tickling my olfactory recall, reminding me of something I've smelled before, but can't quite put my finger on. It's somewhere between Sofia Vergara Sofia and Kat Von D Saint (2017). Soft, pretty, creamy, gentle, cuddly. Like someone you want to hold onto once you get your arms around them.

lovely and sweet when first sprayed but it completely disappears from my skin in minutes. I can detect very sweet powdery florals when I smell very close to my skin but I guess this is something understated and light, which I don’t mind.

Have to agree with @iulianada. After closer inspection, Violet Oud does, in fact, closely resemble Hypnôse!! Extraordinary longevity. Stellar performance at such a modest price.
