Amber Elixir Mystery

You'll never guess why I ordered this back into my collection? Well, I sampled that now super popular French Avenue's Liquid Brun and I was left wondering how I would love that scent if only the floral nuance in it was more stronger....I sniffed and sniffed until I realized that the sweet-floral element in that scent is this! I'm going to try this with all my spicy scents. I hope my new bottle is as strong a performer as the last one was. * and yes, thanks to Oriflame❤️, this scent has not been "reformulated" to be weaker, as many houses do. My broth is still pale, but the scent is excellent and strong, just like my old bottle was. Happy me.

This is gorgeous. I received it a few years ago from a friend, and initially I wasn't very fond of this fragrance, so I forgot about it, until recently. I am really surprised that it's not that popular, because this smells absolutely lovely. It's a warm amber-y vanilla gem with red lily. The performance on this is amazing. I could smell it on my skin for at least 7 hours, and on clothes for days. The liquid inside has such a pretty dark red color, like some wine, and the bottle is cute too. If oversprayed, this will remind you of Love don't be shy by Kilian (I mainly get that in the dry down).

Love love love this scent so much. It’s a very new bottle so I will use hope to assume the sillage is actually much better than this over time... Oversprayed this multiple times in London on a winters afternoon and it disappeared within minutes, I will try not to finish it before it gets to its full potential but it smells divine on my skin! 9/10 - loses point for sillage.

A caveat to my comment about lasting power below, the scent disappeared in a cold, crowded Christmas market. However, as I’m about to throw my scarf in the washing machine, days after from the laundry basket, it still smelled so good! I guess overspraying did do something after all! I really wish it was a 100ml bottle.

Interesting line from Oriflame, I don't like the original, yet I used to have a bottle of Chrystal and I found the new flanker Mystic also quite intriguing and way more interesting than the original. While keeping the warm amber base, it has a very nice, deep floral-vanilla combibation which makes it velvety and adds a honey like feeling. It is strong, but after an hour calms down and stays close to the skin, radiating a soft, warm aura. So nice!

I don't know why, but to me it smells like wet wipes

I’m still making up my mind about this one. I usually gravitate toward more gourmand fragrances, but this one intrigues me. Floral scents tend to work better for me in the summer, so I’m going to give it a proper try. It’s a floral vanilla fragrance with an ambery base, though the amber isn’t heavy. I do pick up a lily note — I had the chance to compare it to the real thing since mine is in bloom right now. It’s similar, but more "perfumey," possibly due to added jasmine. The scent leaves a pretty trail: soft, feminine, and elegant. It’s in the same genre as Prada Paradoxe, and Love don't be shy, but less sharp. There is no orange blossom here, instead we have lilly.
