Blue Sapphire

I'm interested once i see the blue n the bottle. I wonder how it turns out. It's really fresh!! I can smeel violet too. It's for 45th anniversary edition only. Never regret to have this.

i happened to come across a bottle of this online after falling in love with not only the design of the bottle itself, but also the allure of an ozonic, aquatic powder fragrance! i personally love soapy smells and have been recently coming onto the scene of powders, and was intrigued by that combination. the first spray on skin gave way to quite a strong apple smell, but in a very green, almost sour way that kind of disappointed me at first. i imagine this must be the violet leaf: there’s a considerably strong, tart green opening. this, however, quickly fades into the creamiest, richest musky orris-y powder you can imagine, while still being quite fresh and clean conceptually! sprayed on paper/testers, this is much more aquatic and clean. i imagine your personal chemistry will change the strength of the apple and the orris root! this musk is like the skin of a lover between fresh sheets, bathed in rich, extravagant, expensive soaps and lotions. if this perfume had a color story, it begins with a bright green, that fades quickly into cerulean blue, then deeper into royal blue, then royal purple, and lastly, periwinkle

this opens with a cool, watery violet leaf along with violet. shortly thereafter i get the orris, musk and heliotrope, and it gets a bit more powdery (thankfully.) i get a hint of apple but luckily it doesn't turn to hairspray as it often can. however, mostly this is a watery violet leaf and violet scent, though the apple does get more prominent over time and eventually takes over. i wish it stayed more violet than apple personally but it's pretty for spring.

the bottle is not just beautiful, it's really beautiful,combine with the blue liquid.. gorgeous. it is flowery but not a sweet frags. makes it different and fresh, feminine but not teenage like. but somehow it smell very chemical on my skin. still like it though :)

This was a limited edition fragance, it's very fresh and very unique and the bottle is Beautiful!!!

Hi Karen, I was very keen on trying this perfume but was doubtful on getting it as a blind-buy. I have searched through the net for reviews but got none. Your review came just on time on fragrantica :) I am an Oriflame consultant and this perfume appeared in the special online catalogue today. Trying to make a final decision, I came here to read about its notes and I read your positive review. Finally I have bought it! Thanks :D I will post my review as soon as I get this in my mail.
