Feel Good Chill Out

At first I thought this was too masculine for me thanks to the cedar wood, but the more it dries down the more intoxicating it becomes.... So soothing and comfortable! It smells very good on myself and my husband so I’d say it’s truly unisex. It doesn’t smell exactly like Twilight from Lush as it’s way more wearable (I use that for my bedsheets!) but it has a similar scent profile and very similar effect in terms of being a good relaxing, sweet and creamy lavender scent. You just have to give it a minute for the cedar to calm down and the vanilla to warm up. I’ve been comparing this to Guess Seductive Noir and Mon Guerlain recently. I would say that both Chill out and Seductive Noir have a stronger vanilla note than the original Mon Guerlain edp. The OG MG is quite tonka-heavy on me and the licorice gives it a twang that makes it smell like an easy to wear version of Lush Twilight. Love it! I think these two dupes smell more like Mon Guerlain Intense in terms of the vanillic sweetness, but seductive noir doesn’t have much of a liquorice vibe and is a touch more fruity on my skin than Mon Guerlain. chill out actually smells like it has an unlisted liquorice or anaise note though.... Actually, it's like aniseed balls (very solid and sugary little sweets from my childhood flavoured with aniseed, that you would suck like a tiny gobstopper!) So those with lavender, woods and vanilla. One that is even stronger than in Mon Guerlain, which might explain why it feels even more unisex. It's almost got a black sambucca scent! I honestly love all three. Seductive noir is easiest to wear overall. Just comfy and cosy and not very challenging, perfect for work. Mon guerlain is a bit darker and more interesting and is just fabulous for any occasion. Chill Out is the strongest lavender and is the least feminine, but it’s the one I like for cold evenings. The Lavender has a real essential oil quality along with a mysterious spicy warmth - like Twilight which has a cinnamon note rather than liquorice - that works so well for winding down and.... Well.... Chilling out!

I like the fragrance. I smell all the notes, Lavender, Vanilla and Cedar. Lavender is the most prominent scent. Vanilla is moderate. Cedar is noticeable, not that strong. Strangely, I find lavender scent to be invigorating, not calming as many people claim they feel like. So for me, there's a sporty feel to this perfume. I feel like to wear this perfume when I am working out or doing an exercise. Anyway, the scent is weak, doesn't lasts long. On my skin it lasted for like 2 hours. On clothing, 3-4 hours. The sillage is good, it can be detected from an arm's length. Personally, I find the scent suitable for colder climates and can be worn both on day time and night time.

Heavenly uncomplicated! Starts with an aromatic herbaceous accord with anisic freshness with what I can only detect as smelling like albas oil, lavender, aniseed and peppermint, very quickly (within seconds) dissipating to reveal a comforting soft vanilla and cedar skin scent, vanilla sweetening for the finale. I find this similar to a Guerlain Shalimar offering only much MUCH more fleeting, the perfect addition to my bedtime ritual. Really really nice 😊 (And no pesky nose crinkling aromachemicals)
