Love Potion

As a gourmand lover I adore vanilla,coffee,chocolate and cacao in perfumes,I also like rum and ginger,so love potion was a must have for me.it didn't look like a risky blindbuy but I also didn't expect much.how much can you expect from a perfume with this price?a 1.7 oz bottle and a 8.3 oz bodycream were 25 bucks! This is more than a good blindbuy.it's amazing! Initial blast is sharp,spicy citrus/orange..very soon bitter cacao kicks in and stands beside gingery tangerin.drydown is the best part,not sharp as opening but still spicy.a boozy vanilla blends with spicy dark chocolate/cacao/coffee and there's enough tonka and sandalwood to round this supersexy concoction and add warmth and depth..it's sweet but not too much and not sugary.it's bitter/sweet/spicy and has a dark vibe.it's definitely a gourmand but not a foody one.it's a grown up one,sensual and seductive Love potion has most elements I love in a gourmand.it's a winter scent and is almost strong.I can't say how much I'm happy to own it.I also like it's bottle,black and red are good colors to project the qualities of the juice.but it's made off plastic not glass which I don't mind,also it's difficult to move it's cap,so be careful about your eyes while you want to take it's cap Highly recommend to whoever loves a mature gourmand or loves dark chocolate,cocoa,coffe gourmands with a boozy,spicy,citrusy undertone I like Cacharel amoramor very much and I can see the similarities but I find it more similar to amoramor forbidden kiss.though I prefer love potion Unbelievable quality for such a price! ❤❤❤❤ Edit: it's body lotion is useful for layering lots of other perfumes.I used it with black opium,armani code satin,armani code ultimate,hugp boss deep red,montalle chocolate greedy,aquolina chocolover,escada desire me and rihanna rebelle and tom ford noir pour femme and it works

A beautifully crafted chocolate scent. So delicious, warm and comforting yet not heavy, stickly sweet or desperately attention-seeking - despite being described as an aphrodisiac perfume, Love Potion doesn't really have that sort of sexually arousing effect, which is a plus to me. It is a scent that I would definitely go for on a romantic dinner date (again, you would want to be attractive, but not overly so that you appear desperate) or just on those chilly autumn days. Sadly, on my skin the longevity and sillage are underwhelming. No one, including myself, can smell it after 30 mins or so. I tried layering it over the Love Potion lotion to better the performance but it did not help. I purchased Cacharel Amor Amor since it is said to be pretty similar to this one. It is not. Cacharel, a beautiful scent itself, is different. It is fresher and brighter thanks to the citrusy and fruity notes and thus does not deliver the cocooning, soothing effect that Love Potion has. Another point I am not particularly fond of is the shape of the cap. The bottle itself is itty bitty enough to be thrown into your handbag for frequent touch-ups, but you would need to get rid of the cap first.

I`m usually not very fond of catalogue perfumes. I have had some of the samples and they always smell very similar - sweet, light and nothing interesting, nothing special. This is a really good exception. I liked it at the very first sniff. However, it took me a while before I actually bought it. I went through like 3 samples. It may sound silly, because it is quite a cheap eau de parfum. But I just couldn`t get over the fact that it was from catalogue. Yeah, it smelled very nice, yummy, but I always had the thought in my head - maybe wait a bit, collect some money and you can buy some designer perfume. Quality over quantity. But, while I was using my third Love Potion sample, I realised - I had fell in love with it. I enjoyed the warm cocoa, sweet chocolate, spicy ginger, plus I adore vanilla. It comforted me while I had it on at home, reading book. It made me feel sexy, when I kissed my boyfriend. So that`s when I realised I had to have it! So I did. And now I am very happy. `Cause I discovered that the actual perfume stays longer on my skin than the sample one. I can smell it lingering around me 3-5 hours. And then it stays close to the skin.

I first smelled this perfume years ago when my mom was an Oriflame rep. I remember loving it as a teen but I felt it was too mature for me at the time. Loved smelling it in the bottle though. I recently saw this on eBay and decided to get it for nostalgic reasons. Funny how our noses never forget a scent even if you haven’t smelt something in over a decade. It smells just how I remember: warm, sweet, a little boozy, very feminine and sexy. I see myself wearing it for a date night. I pick up the rum, vanilla, tonka and sandalwood. The chocolate and coffee are vague so don’t expect a yummy gourmand but it’s still a sweet and seductive fragrance. A lot of the comments say it doesn’t last but on me I get at least 5 hours of wear time. Projection is moderate but for a scent this sweet I wouldn’t want it to be a beast and fill up a room. It would be too overwhelming. To my nose this is just right. Overall is it groundbreaking? Probably not but it’s a great date night cheapie that smells sexy and feminine. The bottle is gorgeous and to me it looks and smells more expensive than it is.

My goodness, this is the nicest chocolate perfume I've ever sniffed! What a delicious treat! I got this for the absolute bargain price of £9.99 and I couldn't be happier. Love Potion is absolutely scrumptious and totally addictive. The opening is pure chocolate and rich cocoa powder. This fades into a lovely vanilla rum before it settles into this surprisingly smooth and fruity orange and sandalwood combo on my skin. It reminded me of something I've worn before and I scoured the comments and someone said Viva La Juicy and I totally agree! Very sweet and sexy! I can imagine myself wearing this for date nights in skyscraper heels and red nails or for cosy nights in with hot chocolate and Netflix. It's super versatile and easy to wear. I am not a massive fan of the bottle, I think the pointy lid looks a little cheap, but eh, the juice inside more than makes up for it. Boyfriend's verdict: "Smells nice. You smell pretty sexy." It's currently Summer here, so I'm going to put this little baby away for Autumn, but I'm excited to wear her again!

This is one of Oriflame's most successful scents and I can truly understand why. It is warm, spicy and embracing, a cocoa/rum/guiltypleasures heaven on a bed of vanilla. It is just wonderful. I also found it funny how men seem to notice and like it too, although I always asked why on earth would anyone feel turned on when smelling chocolate :) But this is not chocolate, this is soft cocoa powder, ginger, rum, vanilla, tonka, oh, I just love it. The bottle is also very unusual and pretty, like a bottle of poison. A little life hack: it lasts and projects well, but I would call it more EdT than EdP, so I spray it twice a day. The bottle is not easy to carry, but several Oriflame caps fit on it, I use it on the go with the bottle cap of Oriflame's Born to fly. If it wouldn't be that slighly disturbing lily/ white flower note in it, it could even be my signature scent for the colder days. But i still love it and will keep on buying it.

Love it,love it,love it!l have never expected that this would be my parfume, because it seemed to be very sweet and spicy and that kind that you can smell from a distance as a slap into your face, and that kind of perfume which wears every second woman, but l was wrong and it is very soft any tasty at the same time, very unusual for my nose but in a nice way.Vanilla is awesome, used to love it in christina aguilera fragrances, but l used to wear it when l was younger.now it was time for a new perfume and l am do glad that l finally found something that matches to my personality, because it was really hard for me to find something satisfying.And that minimalistic bottle is pretty too, it says out loud what is inside: seductive but not nasty :)I recommend it for woman 25-35, but also can be worn by any age group- if you like it,why not

Thank you all so much for your reviews because I decided so quickly to buy this new fragrance without even sniffing it before, without hesitation and I can already enjoy this wonder. I was sure it would be something intriguing and probably tasty. But I didn'n expect such a wonderful, amasing, classy, delicious and really erotic smell. I can smell tons of soft ginger with some sweet fresh fruits and a lot of chocolate and cocoa. The fragrance is constantly changing and all the time is beautiful. Love Potion is not expensive but creates a very luxurious aura. And it gives me a wonderful feeling of joy and excitement every time I sniff my wrist. I feel so good and so attractive wearing this scent. The smell of sex and of happiness. And a potent aphrodisiac indeed...

Female sexappeal in a bottle. Men are melt by this scent. Not cloying but etheral sweet. It is randez vouz scent. Red lipstick, high heels or nothing. Mostly I detect whiskey, pralines, coffee, ginger. Lasting power, oh well, shame on you oriflame, 2hrs. Even though its so short lasting I must always have it. I feel so edible wearing this ;) Love Potion is sexy, romantic, feminine and adult. The color of the bottle is perfect - dark red. Mostly detectable are whisky, chocolate, cacao, coffee.Frag is great balanced by subtle sweetness of vanilla and tonka. And refreshing the whole combo: ginger and tangerine. The ginger and tandarine hid behind and made this scent not brown but red. It is yummy but still not sugarbomb or sth. This is so good ! Must try it.

Now that i have this EDP already, i can say my pleasure is complete ^^ I commented on it before, but now it's time to praise this creation again, because it deserves it. Uniqueness is the exact word. Extremely interesting combination between the ingredients themselves and separately - cacao, rum, chocolate, ginger, tonka bean... Women and girls who want to be noticed in a classy way, this is the fragrance for that goal. So sweet and warm..but don't forget about the pheromones too: they're 'guilty' for the addictive effect on men and other people. Dont hesitate and purchase. Longevity on skin is couple of hours (probably 4-5 before drydown) and on clothes even more.

This was a difficult fragrance to find but I'm glad I did! The rum and ginger notes make the opening a bit spicy but not in a cologne type of way. This is quickly followed by the cacao and vanilla with perhaps the lightest hint of coffee behind. It drys down to a lovely, close to the skin gourmand - which may be a good thing as the notes are delicious but powerful. Nothing like what I've smelled in the "reminds me of" showing HP or Alien. I've also managed to get my hands on a bottle of Oriflame Midnight Wish - will have to review once it arrives. Overall, I'm pleasantly surprised.

All the reviews here made me so curious that I finally blind bought it. Sniffing the first spritz, I was amazed: This smells exactly like the cherry and liqueur filled Mon Chérie praline! The cacao and chocolate, the rum, the ginger(substitute for the crisp boozy cherry). Coffee, tangerine, tonka beans and sandalwood show up while the liqueur vanishes. The dry down is a delightful yummy, sexy, cozy chocolate scent. So glad to move this fragrance from the "I want it" collection to the "I have it" collection and file it under "love". Thank you for your inspiration dear fragranticans!

Mine just arrived today. Sprayed it on my wrist and was dismayed by how cloying the chocolate overtones were. Fortunately, the sickly sweet chocolate scent dies down very, very quickly and the longer I wear this the nicer it smells. It's settled in a gorgeous, subtle and warm scent that smells clean and comforting on me. It does seem very weak though, and it will require a second application during the day. Overall, it's a lovely perfume and for the price I don't mind that it lacks staying power. Will definately be keeping this in my perfume collection.

I really like this perfume! It was a gift and a very pleasant surprise. I know that I was curious about its smell when I heard that Oriflame came out with this one. When I first smell it I was amazed how strong the cocoa scent can be! Everyone tells me that I smell like cocoa and sweets :) It really is nice this perfume! It kinda remind me of Hypnotic Poison, but of course that the vanilla it's not so strong as it is in Dior's perfume. I like that it's not sick-sweet and the longevity it's very good! Yes, I definitely recommend this Oriflame's perfume!

This is actually very nice! Sweet but not too sweet. Lush rich gourmand with touch of cocoa and coffee on dark vanilla base, perfect for cold winter nights. I've been on a mood for good gourmands lately, and this one was a nice surprise and you can't beat the price! I paid €15 for 50ml bottle :) The opening reminds me of YSL Cinema edp, maybe a tad darker and less floral. It soon turns darker and the floral top notes fade quickly. The drydown is rather dark, rich vanilla and cocoa with a touch of sweet spices. Better than most Oriflame offers.

Mmm I love this - what a delightful cold weather perfume! Reminds me of a very light version of Black XS. I swear I smell cranberry, although it's not listed. Looks like several people also detect berries of some sort. I got cocoa and chocolate upon first spritz and now that some time has gone by I smell a quite lovely cup of hot cocoa in a tiny cup accompanied by a cranberry scone. Amazing fragrance for Christmas, which might be just what I use it for. ;)

I absolutely love this perfume. I bough the massage oil as well. I`m sure it`s gonna be my favorite autumn perfume this year. One of my favorites till now for autumn was Avon True Glow. They are similar only because they are both very unique, atypical and special. With that being said both perfumes - Avon True Glow and Oriflame Love Potion - are only similar in their siciness otherwise TG is fresh and energizing while LP is warm, soothing and comforting.

Boy do I love this! It's gorgeous, intoxicating! Thrilling. I feel in love when I wear it. It really is a love potion, and the bottle is exquisitely divine. It's so delicious (the perfume I mean!), so scrumptious I could eat it. It's incredibly alluring, and I get sooo many compliments!! Men especially, all ages!!! It's incredibly long lasting, the sillage is good - ( a couple of feet, enough get the compliments!) and I simply adore it. Beautiful!

First time seeing this one in Oriflame catalogue I just think the bottle is so cool. And I decide to buy it for my sister as s gift. And surprisingly she loves it. I can smell chocolate, ginger and vanilla. It's not too sweet, not heavy, well balance. The bottle is very gorgeous and sexy just like a poison bottle. I feel so good when I smell this scent the smell of happiness. And I suggest you try this one.

It is my best autumn, winter fragrance. Strong, same time sexy and sweet with character. It is cheap and very good. Perfume pyramid look great! All these components are so sexy, sweet and pretty savory. This is always on my table, on my handbag and everywhere!!!! I have a lot bottles of this. And yes- bottle is not practical to take whit you, but it is practical for my rings and bracelets. :))

"Love Potion" is surprisingly similar to "Fire" by Oriflame! The main difference is the initial note of rum here. "Love Potion" of course has much, much better staying power and projection. It's more intense, more lively and exciting. However I can't say I smell chocolate or cacao. They say this is Oriflame first seductive scent but I think their "So Fever" perfume is much more provocative.

This strongly reminds me of those pure chocolate bon-bons filled with a cherry and liquor :) Smells really nice!! As for most of Oriflame's fragrances, the longevity and projection of this fragrance is not that great unfortunately. ♥♥♥ Edit: Lately it actually holds pretty good! Lingers on me nicely! No idea why it didn't before... it happens sometimes though with other perfumes as well.

I really love this one,bring the memory of happiness in me. I wear it on 2014 this one is a kind of heavy vanilla cacao scent that will make everyone who sniff it fall in love with this perfume. I remember wearing this to hang out in the night and all of my friends is paying attention for me asking me what perfume that I wore

This was a totally blind purchase, and I couldn't be more pleased with it :) It's pure sensuality in a bottle (btw, quite difficult to open heh). What I feel the most is cocoa, chocolate (or coffee?) and vanilla, leaving a trace of spicy notes that last quite long on my skin. An affordable yet deliciously sexy perfume!

I personally loved this perfume i was not expecting much but here we are i only sprayed it once on to my shirt but omg it lasted a good 12-14 hours i could still smell it the next day on my shirt so it is a yes for me and it is def a night wear perfume but day wear could also work.Love it <3

This is a love for me. Warm, a little bit spicy, an elegant gourmand that has depth and it doesn't make you smell simply like a dessert, although you can definitely get the chocolate note. It has something seductive and alluring and I keep returning to this in cold weather.

I bought it because the bottle is unique and the review of it's smell is good. And when I sprayed it for the first time, it's remembered me with Victoria's Secret Tease. I don't know, if its just me or others feel the same thing too. But I loke it. It's smell sexy for me.

Maybe they change the formula, it is not good as it was, I have 3 bottle, made in France, Sweden, and Poland. And I love bottle made in France, smell bold in chocolate and ginger, and last long, and the bottle is good too. The newest is made in Poland is so disappointed

Just here to say that men seem to really like this fragrance. I've had strangers come up to me and say how intoxicating and amazing this perfume is. Which is pretty cool for a 20 euros Oriflame piece. I do think it's seductive, but also comforting and calming.

I having it from 3 years ago and i totally fall in love with it so i save it for special occasions but honestly it's stuck in my clothes for 3 days and the fourth day i can smell a hint of chocolate or woods I'm not sure which one i feel it

This is another one of my favorite scents. Rich and dark. Slightly spicy. It feels like it draws you in. Just the slightest sweetness. I always imagine a sorceress or an evil queen would wear this sent to cast a spell on her beloved.

Love Potion is sophisticated and classy. I love the chocolate notes in it and happily, unlike many other chocolate perfumes, it's not strong and heavy so i can wear it during daytime as well. Perhaps the best perfume i've ever had.

Nice perfume!I like it a lot!It smells to me like milk chocolate, as the time passes- but not strong chocolate as I wanted - flowers,vanilla and is not too sweet.Warm light chocolate perfume for everyday use but not long-lasting.

It’s hard to impress me but this one is real surprise ! Actually, I like it a lot. I would never tell from notes, but here we are - I like it, it is different from what i have and maybe this is a reason I like it. 😊 Worth try.

I think that they've already changed the formula just because it's not last long as my old bottle and the cacao/chocolate note is not sharp as the old one too. Compare on 2 hands and you will find which is different

i love it.. it was accidental buy.. asked my mom to buy something else but she bought this and it certainly was the best mistake.. my go to scent.. its subtle but strong enough for people to notice..

Usually I dont use the cheap smells,like avon and oriflame, but this one I really love. Sweet, but not sugary. Very good choise for everyday in autumn or in winter.

What a beautiful fragrance! I get the tonka bean, richness of chocolate, a dash of tangerine sweetness. However, I have to constantly reapply every hour or so.

what can I say? I FELL in LOVE with that LOVE POTION :)) I'm a chocolate addict and sniffing it is much better than eating chocolate.. simply ADORABLE

what would be like having and using two of the potions at the same time? white chocolate with additional cacao ,dark enough with spiced strawberry?

If on a tight budget and long for Black XS For Her-Paco Rabanne buy Love Potion...On my skin I see/smell almost no difference between these two...

I can smell the rum n vanilla, strong n warm. And then soft chocolate. I like it. But, this is not long lasting on me.
