Possess

This is a strange perfume, but I love it. I received this perfume a few years ago as a birthday gift from my mom, and I remember that back then I really disliked it. But for the past week I used it a lot and I am surprised how much I started to enjoy it. I think this is the most interesting perfume in my collection. It's not a linear fragrance, but constantly changing, and every time I use it I pick up new notes that I didn't smell them before. I felt a bitter, powdery, spicy, amber-y aroma at first, a lot of pineapple (but I don't find this note sharp here at all, in fact, I wasn't even sure what fruit was that in the opening, to me, it's very smooth and nice blended with the flowers and raspberry) and passion fruit, raspberry and other berries, mulberry in particular, vanilla, and patchouli. But these notes were coming ang going, and after a few minutes I was smelling something else: violets, cloves, jasmine, woodsy accords, dewy notes and waterlilies, caramel. Sometimes I even had the impression that I smelled like a fruity champagne or a beer with pineapple and guava, other times like chocolate candies with cherries and liqueur, but also grapes (not the ripe ones, but those that are still forming and fill the vineyards with that aromatic earthy smell). To me, this perfume seems cold, and I wouldn't wear it in winter. For me, this is awesome in summer. I had no idea that it was inspired by the legend of Cleopatra and Mark Antony (actually, I just read that above, along with some notes), and it was funny that the first thing that came to my mind when I was wearing it was an ancient banquet in a hot summer night, with trays of fruits all around me, flowers, and a pond of lilies nearby, so yeah... gave me Cleopatra vibes before I even knew about the inspiration. The projection is nice, the longevity too. On me it lasts around 6-7 hours (which is decent), then it becomes an amber-y skin scent. It's a great perfume.

Today I received my bottle of possess which I used to think that I'd like it.well it's a love,love,LOVE!what a great surprise! It's one of more expensive oriflame fragrances but it's still way cheaper than high end brands and it has nothing less than them If you're looking for something ancient, a mysterious Oriental to associate it with Cleopatra,well,don't be!possess is sweet,modern and full of life.it could be a new flanker for miss Dior line.I can smell the same sweet,sharp-ish pachoul but here it's blended with a sweet,bright and fruity note,pineapple.vanilla,ylangylang and sandalwood are also there,trying to soften sharpness of fruitchouli edges with their warm creamyness.possess is delightful and sexy.it's not easy to ignore it.I love it when I can smell my perfume for a long time and this one projects very well also has great lasting power which is another reason for being very glad to have it Pineapple is very present in here but it's a very good kind of pineapple.so even if you're not a fan of pineapple in perfumes, give this one a try Since it's strong and sweet,colder months seem to be the best for it,but I'm sure it would be as beautiful in cool summer nights It's bottle looks very pretty and glorious,though it would be even better if it's cap and snakes on it were made off metal Possess is not everyone's cup of tea but if you like perfumes like miss Dior EDP(2012),madame gres,givenchy dahlia divine,givenchy live irresistible you're probably going to love oriflame possess Highly recommended گرم،شیرین،سکسی و جذاب با موندگاری و پخش بوی خوب،شدیدا توصیه میشه اگه این عطر رو دوست دارید و دنبالی عطری مشابه و حتی شیک تر هستید مادام گرس رو امتحان کنید

Sexy scent absolutely. I was wearing It a lot in the past winters when younger, and browsing the catalogue, i thought why not buying it again, i know i like it. Wait, i love it!! Warm, sexy, strong, long lasting, and sillage depends on the amount of perfume you will use. I use a lot, and i smell it on my scarves. This time i will be wearing it all year round. Be careful, the perfume develops and the drydown could be different on everyone. For instance, on one of my female friends the vanilla is the most prominent, no pineapple. On me the drydown consists of (thank God) patchouli, sandalwood, just enough vanilla to add warmth and a considerable amount of ylang ylang. Sample before buying. Opening is disgusting, there, i said it. But wait, the pineapple and grapefruit start smelling nicer, no freesia, or, maybe i don't smell the freesia(?). Then it's vanilla for a couple of minutes, patchouli is dry but keeps strong throughout the time i'm wearing it, some ylang ylang and something berryish(just for some minutes) and then again it's straight up a woody ylang ylang patchouli. For women +20, not everyone might like it, some noticed a rather weird scent, but not bad. It stands somewhere in the middle I'd say, it's likeable.

Possess initially put me off a bit, due to some bitter ylang note that persisted, yet I felt that I should give it another chance, as it might potentially be a good "winter" scent. On the next application I was able to appreciate the most beautiful sandalwood and vanilla plus something that I believe might be a natural, non-sweetened raspberry juice, but only in minimal amounts. No pineapples and barely any patchouli - but the few "molecules" of patchouli present in the perfume give it this bitter, exotic vibe. It's a "second skin" perfume to me, I love wearing it although I can barely smell it on myself - yet a friend assured me that my perfume is strong and can be easily sensed - good to know:) My great discovery of the season! Edit: Years have passed and I still love it! When you apply the body cream from the Possess line, you will be able to smell it on yourself for hours and hours!:)))

I'm in love with this, to me this is how you do a sensual sexy perfume without having to add some weired out of place and unnecessary incense and tonka bean,or musk..Anyways on me it starts out with a creamy,flowery pineapple which is sharp and heavy but not overbearing to me, I actually like the opening..then there comes a veeery beautiful ylang touched by vanilla and the berry..warm and exotic..then the fruity stuff goes away and you're left with a more dried mix of ylang,patchouli and sandalwood and that stage stays up for quite a long while and fades with vanilla sandalwood..I find the ylang and sandalwood in this one very gorgeously done. The sillage and staying power is nice on me, and I've got compliments for it. Perfect for cooler weather and evenings or nights, and those who like their scent to feel sexy in a subtle way not screaming in your face way.

A composition that stands out in quality compared to typical Oriflame creations. From all-day longevity on fabric with a moderate-to-intimate sillage, to the well-blended notes forming a charming blend, it impresses throughout. The fragrance leans slightly oriental, primarily warm and sweet, with touches of amber, wood, and resin. The fruits are most noticeable in the opening accords; as it develops, individual notes become harder to distinguish, yet the overall harmony remains delightful. An enveloping, sensual scent with a subtly boudoir-like character, evoking the magic of a tale from One Thousand and One Nights. There is a certain enchanting allure in it.

A very deep fragrance, gives that feeling of warmth but its not heavy, you cant really tell what the smell is about, but I love it, though I didn't like it at first. I bought a sample at first. The smell is not like other fragrances that I have ever had, and I had a lot. It really does smell unique and sexy. I would really suggest to try a sample at first as this one is definitely a fragrance that doesn't fit everyone, if you try a blind buy you might regret it. Main notes that I get is pineapple and vanilla mixed together. At first when you spray - warm pineapple that slowly goes into woody vanilla with a pinch of berry- grapefruit.

This is a real gem from Oriflame. A nice combo of pineapple and patchouli. I also get hints of amber, cocoa and sandalwood. Like a very rich, oriental oil. Sweet, but not overwhelming. A beautiful, warm, fall and winter day to day fragrance. If I were to relate it to other fragrances those would be Wish By Chopard, Madame Gres and Lady Million (without the honey note). If you like one of these fragrances, this is worth trying. It's got a moderate sillage, but lasts as a soft, fruity sweet, oriental skin scent more than 8 hours. It's a sensual, non-linear and expensive smelling. Beautiful bottle.

This is one of the most gorgeous fruity floral fragrances ever made. This is grapefruit, pineapple and patchouli at its best. This is just an amazing fragrance!

I ordered it online without testing, because I figured that, having dedicated half of my life to the academic research about Cleopatra, I have to have it, even if the scent is ugly! I was also attracted by the interesting bottle and some of the notes, mostly ylang-ylang and orange blossom. Verdict? The bottle in real life is kind of tacky and the juice... well, Cleopatra it is not – but I knew this from the beginning, since the reviews say that the scent opens up with a very strong pineapple note and my dear Greek queen of Egypt definitely didn't know this fruit which comes somewhere from America. But guess what! I still REALLY like it and I am even considering loving it. :) The opening, like I said, is pure pineapple, but it fades away quickly – to my great joy, since I am not a fan of fruity notes. What remains is a warm mix of ylang ylang and sandalwood. Actually, I have a feeling that after years of searching I finally found my sandalwood scent! This particular note is in a bad conflict with my chemistry and as much as I love it on others, I usually cannot stand it on myself. In Possess I really, really enjoy it – it's creamy, I would even say – oily, and nicely rounded up by ylang. Unfortunately on my skin the longevity is very poor. I've had the bottle for not even a week and since I'm constantly respraying, already 1/3 is gone. Well, I guess I will simply buy another one!

Possess starts strong and sharp with tangy fruits and patchouli. The fruits are not initially discernible as pineapple 🍍 and grapefruit. After 15 minutes or so I get the pineapple, juice more so than fresh fruit, sweet and less tangy maybe with some raspberry and peach thrown in for good measure. In the heart a creamy ylang-ylang takes over and in the dry down a chic vanilla and sandalwood show up. A beautiful composition though the ad campaign and bottle doesn’t relate to the juice to me. Cleopatra the gorgeous queen of Egypt of Greek descent? Maybe some Egyptian lotus (water lily), papyrus, sambas jasmine, rose, musk and incense with some chypre moss and bergamot to give a nod to Greece, but pineapples and ylang???? 🫢

First, I think the bottle, the name and the theme behind it are pretty cool! As far as the fragrance goes,... it's not bad, but I would have expected it to be more of a seductive fragrance. What I get now is mainly a sweet, fruity scent with pineapple being the most present note. In the opening combined with a hint of grapefruit and as it dries down lots of raspberry and a little patchouli. I think with Cleopatra being the theme here, some incense would be in place for that magical, mysterious feeling. Something smoky and dark with more oriental notes instead of this rather polite fruity scent. I don't think it's a bad scent, but it could have been so much more! ♥♥♥

Just received the sample of this Eau de Parfum. First its mention on the more than 80 ingridients attracted my attention . I have to say that I'm excited how well blended they are . Its scent gives me the impression of a beautiful full bouquet of white flowers. Its warm and creamy , I can smell clearly Ylang Ylang and Vanilla , maybe some Caramel too . Well done Daphne and Dora! Definitely a feminine one. I would describe it mostly powerful , romantic than sexy.

This essentially smells like a lightly woodsy pineapple with ylang. Kind of like smelling a juicy dried pineapple that's been cut in half if that makes sense. Then just add ylang, vanilla, sandalwood. I can smell the grapefruit the first 30 min which I personally don't think works with the scent. Like others mentioned the first 30 min is kind of sharp and needs to be waited out. My chemistry eats this up in only 3 hours. Will finish and not repurchase.

I got a sample of this and it’s nice, but not enough of a love for me to buy a full bottle. I get the sharp pineapple and the Ylang Ylang mostly. There’s some vanilla there but it doesn’t have the overall impact of creaminess or warmth. When it calms down on me, the patchouli comes through more. It lasts a couple of hours on me - not bad but not great either.

The description of the mood of the scent matched to the types of scents I prefer however when I first sprayed it it was very strong and off-putting. Only after 30 minutes it became sensual and mysterious. But I have to be frank - it is not easy to survive the first 30 minutes.

I don't understand what someone here mentioned about the bottle looking cheap because the lid is made of plastic... why?? Do designer perfumes have non-plastic caps??!! Some have metal yes, but what's the difference?? Should it be steel or karat gold plated...please 🙄

Smelt like Chopard Wish but sweeter. I hate pineapple note but it' too strong and you can smelt it all day. After 3-4 hours it become more elegant and delicate, really sexy. And I want to say that it's not have too much ingredients like kwnstanths said.

I don't know what pineapples are people talking about! :) For me it's patchouli all over. Lovely in cool weather or at night time. In comparison with the frutichulies this is drier and more grown up. It gives confidence.

The opening is mouthwatering fruits on a golden plate. I don`t really know why the association of gold comes to my mind when I sniff this but I guess it is just sets the atmosphere or luxury and wealth.

Both my mother and I enjoyed this. She might liked it even more than I did. Perfect for cold weather. It was nice combination of sweetness and floral mix.

this sweety, hot perfume is extremely dominant. If you want to feel sexy, you can use it because whole house smells like you :)

Reminds me of Estée Lauder’s Pleasures Delight. The same fullness of ingredients, grown up, for colder days, smells expensive.

i think this is in Chopard Wish and Angel tipe. The bottle reminde me of Womanity - Mugler

To me the opening reminds me of childhood days when classmates would show you their Avon catalogues and there would be the rubbable pages of fragrances and I'd feel this profile of fragrance often. It is not a bad fragrance just has a very nostalgic feel for me. The pineapple, ylang-ylang and patchouli are the most pronounced in the opening. Opens strongly but quiets down in 5min to almost a skin scent and I'm glad for that as I don't like the opening. Up-close you can feel the grapefruit and freesia with the powdery sandalwood. I bough it only for the bottle as I like the snake design but unfortunately it looks better in the picture as in real life the golden part is plastic. For now I am not sure how I feel about this creation or if I will keep it, on one hand I am disappointed by the bottle and opening but on the other hand, once the opening settles, the skin scent is so pleasant and I think that is what matters most as it is what will be felt the most. My concern would be is this is something I'd reach for. Pro: Great clean and powdery floral safe office scent (I work from home though hah) Con: The opening is strong but lasts no more than 5min, meaning that the pineapple note is short as well.

I like the bottle design. The perfume is okay for me. Not bad but it didn't impress me much. I mostly smell the Patchouli and the Ylang-ylang. There are little whiffs of Orange Blossom and Pineapple. On my skin it lasts for about 3 hours. It's suitable to wear in cold climate.

Just okay. I wanted it for the bottle but I don’t wear it much. The fruit punches you right in the nose, following with a whiff of patchouli, combining into something that smells almost like a stale old perfume.

To me it doesn't seem fruity at all, smell sexy but it doesn't last more than 1 hour. Bottle is stunning but that's it, a bit too expensive for the brand

Mi hermana vende perfumes de catálogo me mostró una marca llamada oriflame nunca la había visto me llamó la atención ya que nunca me han gustado los perfumes de Avon😵💫 Fuller😵💫 jafra o sea de catálogo etc... siempre suelo comprar marcas de diseñador, la verdad al ver al catálogo se me hizo muy bonito el frasco de este perfume y la verdad estaba un poco costoso le dije a mi hermana porque es costoso si no es muy reconocido y me dijo que era de lo mejor que había en la marca Oriflame pensé en darle una oportunidad a este perfume y cree falsas expectativas creí que iba a ser lo máximo que iba a oler súper rico la botella hermosa una serpiente enredada yo me alucinaba pensaba en Egipto en Cleopatra las notas me parecían súper lindas, pero oh oh sorpresa! Cuando lo recibí y lo spraye un olor punzante empezó a invadirme me hizo que me doliera la cabeza pensé voy a dejar que seque a ver cómo se desenvuelve entre más pasaban los minutos el olor me empezó a dar adversión, náusea literal no sé por qué pero a mí me olía a axila sudada con pachuli no puedo describirlo de otra forma lo siento en mi piel destaca demasiado el pachuli no le siento tanto la nota frutal ni el sándalo quizás un poco de ylang mezclado con pachuli qué es lo que hace que huela axila sudada porque como mezcla de un olor metálico rancio este perfume es hermoso la botella pero el aroma yo no lo soporte no puedo decir que sea un mal perfume pero no fue de mi gusto! Aún lo conservo porque la botella es hermosa pero si no fuese por la botella ya lo hubiera utilizado como desodorante en el baño o ya lo hubiera tirado o regalado. Creo que este perfume no se debe de comprar a ciegas es un olor muy particular metálico apachulado la botella 10 de 10 está hermosa hasta para guardarla como adorno, a comparación de otros perfumes que miren esta marca de oriflame El posses es de los más caros si de verdad quieren un perfume que huela riquísimo de este libro oriflame les recomiendo oh sweet! Es un perfumito con una botella súper sencillita pero el aroma oh Dios huele a dulcito de leche cremosito me recuerda mi abuelita cuando íbamos al rancho a verla que nos hacía dulces de leche y aquí va de nuevo otra vez la regla de lo que dicen que no hay que dejarse llevar por las apariencias a veces los perfumes con las botellas más insignificantes suelen ser los que huelen más rico! El posses a pesar de ser un aroma demasiado hediondo para mí si tiene buena estela la verdad para quien guste este perfume creo que por lo menos vale la pena que la peste sí dure y digo peste porque no puedo decir que es aroma es aberrante!

I may be the only person who does not understand the hype of this Oriflame perfume. I read about that being an aphrodisiac and cleopatra smelling like this and bought it from my cousin who’s an Oriflame agent. I did not like it. It’s sickly sweet and sour at the same time . Even though I like sweet fragrances, this is like the digestive enzyme syrupy sweet with overripe pineapple and sandalwood thrown in on your face. I got one but ended up giving the almost unused bottle to my aunt who liked it.

Uh, and here is one scent I really don't like. Possess was very popular in my country a few years ago, many wannabe divas wore it, and I always found it annoying. It starts with a heavy pineapple, one that was probably left out in the sun for too long. Patchuli is heavy and nauseating, ylang-ylang soapy and way too sinthetic. Sillage and longevity are good, you can get rid of this one only by amputation. It is an unsatisfied "meh" from me...

Personally I disliked this perfume. I found it way too heavy and imbalanced, so I gifted it to my friend and she loved it. She received so many compliments on it too, especially from guys! So this perfume is one of those you-either-love-it-or-hate-it type of scents.

I can smell only cheap heavy perfume similar to fake scents, sorry Oriflame. Even the bottle looks very cheaply, plastic like for children. And it's unbelievably overpriced.

for me, the first few minutes or hour is fine decent and elegant scent but afterwards it smells really weird.. My personal opinion though

Waaay too sharp!! So sharp this became my definition of a sharp perfume.

The bottle looks amazing! My Mum found this perfume and liked the scent on paper so she ordered it for herself and for me, and I'm very curious. Pineapple, grapefruit and creamy floral notes with some patchouli sounds delightful. Being a chypre is also a bonus, I'm attracted to chypres. My huge fav from Oriflame now is Mirage, but I also like some other stuff from them so hopefully this won't disappoint either. With that bottle, it must be good! Can't wait for Christmas. Update: Well regardless awesome bottle and packaging, with the actual scent I'm not impressed at all. Generic sweetness, pretty much like Serpentine. The opening is pleasant and a bit tangy, with pineapple and a hint of grapefruit but it turns sweet and stays that way for most of its lifetime. Something in it hurts my nose. I wish they added some smoke and spices instead of this fruity sugar. At the very end, when it's only present in light traces, it's pleasant again, with a clear vanilla, but that's only a whispering skin scent.

This smells so divine! The bottle is pretty too! One of the prettiest I have ever seen. Possess has a a vibe of La vie est belle lancome, armani si, dior miss dior cherie. A juicy and delicious pineapple is how this fragrance begins! The story goes Cleopatra seduced Marcus Aurelius because of her beauty and the charm of ylang-ylang. I like Possess because it is a complex perfume that needs some time to truly understand it. I would classify this perfume as fruity floral rather than chypre fruity. Think of the color yellow. What does it make you feel? Probably sunny, happy, relaxed? Probably positive. Possess is all of that, it is the yellow ylang-ylang and the pineapple. It is charming, very charming perfume (is that's why they used snake decor?). Have to say the patchouli is strong too. Possess is really heavy and not for every day :) A really serious and grown up Miss Dior Cherie.

Just no... I really wanted to like this. The bottle looks stunning, the name is stunning. BUT the juice smells alcoholic, cheap and very dated. Making out the individual notes is almost impossible and the drydown is so unpleasantly chemically. chemically flat. Has a few phases but all of them area bit bitter and flat and the juice almost smells like it has turned. Except my bottle was new and unopened... It starts off okayish and after that when it dries it becomes the most dated, boring, old lady smell. To make it worse the twist cap sprayer leeks and splurts too much juice messily around each time I try to put this on. Honestly I have had way cheaper and way better fragrances. This is just... Bad. Did they use the whole budget on presentation and then haphazardly put together the frag recipe after? 3/10

At first,I thought this perfume was too heavy and mature,but I decided to test it and I liked it.My husband had the Possess man and bought me this perfume. I thought it smelled kinda like a perfume I had a long time ago,but overall is a beautiful perfume.It has something..unique to it.It has so many notes and it's beautiful that everyone smells this perfume different.I smell pineapple and ylang ylang,and I love it! Even though it's a pricey perfume for Oriflame,I think it's worth a shot.

I don't get how there's no amber in this. Almost all I can smell is warm rich amber. It must be some combination of ylang-ylang and vanilla. It's not really fruity or floral to me, I smell rather this warm, rich, a bit heavy alcohol-based amber. Definitely suitable rather for winter. Please, don't spray this in enclosed space with many people or wear in great amount when you know you will be around other people in enclosed, not well-vented space. It's heady.

Just received my order today of Possess. I really like this perfume, it has such a sweet sexy unique vibe to it. I think this could definitely be the type of perfume to easily seduce your current love or a potential new love. I have spritz several sprays since I received it and just can't stop spraying. It really smells delicious and by the way I do detect a hint of pineapple and some grapefruit notes that were mentioned in a lot of the reviews here.

For a long time, I had mixed feelings about this one. It felt weak and uninteresting. I even tryed to sell it :), without success. Couple of days ago i tried to wear it again. Oh, is was sweet and nice. Pineapple juicy, happy and easy to wear! Now, i want to sniff it again and again. Unfortunately it does not last long. But it is very delicious!

smells very expensive. gr8 performance. i know the notes r different...but it reminds me of La Vie Est Belle. the dry down is similar somehow. i can smell pineapple in the top notes clearly. performes better in cold months.highly recommended for such price.

It's reminiscent of Youth Dew, and indeed sometimes I would swear it is Youth Dew. Otherwise, just a close sister that has that patchouli vibe.

I really dont like this perfume too much pineapple scent inside the bottle. Like cheap perfume. After a hour, too soapy.moderate longevity
