Deja Le Printemps

Deja Le Printemps Oriza L. Legrand, This smells like real mowed field, not the yard grass. But the one in the wild nature. It is now 30c in Thailand, still breezy but the sun is getting stronger. Our gardener starts mow the field as the grass start growing tall. I walk across, I smell something reminds of "Deja Le Printemps". last night; I just do comparison of this scent before the bath. After the bath, I rub myself with Mitsouko eau de cologne follow with 3 sprays of Marescialla, SMN. The next day, I used Oeillet Sauvage by L'Artisan Parfumeur. At that moment I got the whip of herbal grass. I sniff myself; wondering, does Deja Le Printemps last this long!? . No, there is no trace of Deja Le Printemps left on my body. Deja Le Printemps just happen to smell like breeze of fresh cut grass. It is already spring. (Structure wise : Deja Le Printemps : Is a grassy vetiver with slight of sweet Fig. It has herbaceous support and fairy strong labdanum and soft incense feel. The concoction seems to be a strong scent but this still work in lightess as usual from Oriza. I think this makes a perfect fragrance for Saturday, a walk in the park) === January 6, 2026 I revisit this today, well it is already spring.

I have to admit I pay as much attention to the descriptions of perfumes as to the notes. This got my attention immediately! Probably because I'm in a phase of my life when I really enjoy green scents, and I love Nature. All the perfumes from this house sound and smell great, but I'm so glad I decided to buy this one, as I fell in love with it after the first sniff. :) The opening is very green and very fresh. I can smell grass, (fig) leaves, and clover. I don't get much of mint. And I get no lily of the valley at all, but I really don't mind. It's probably somewhere there with the orange blossom making sure this green scent isn't too green or sharp. But it doesn't smell flowery or sweet at all. I can get all the base notes when I try to smell them out, but I prefer to perceive them all together, because to me they smell almost like pine nuts. The base notes become more vivid after some time. This perfume is indeed like a walk through the countryside that's awakening after a long winter. It's very green, almost herbal, slightly woody, and actually quite subtle, yet very powerful. I adore it.

I got this in a fragrance fitting as a green/herbaceous scent lover out of 12 different scents, and this is a winner. It is fresh, cool, slightly floral, delicate, and grassy. It really reminds me of being in a grassy field with morning dew. The mint, thankfully, is not strong and I can’t even detect it; it just adds a freshness to the scent. I love everything from the chamomile-infused opening to the grassy middle, and the light musky fresh-dirt dry-down. It reminds me a lot of my indoor-outdoor cat, who rolls around in clean dirt and grass in our garden all day. On my skin, the chamomile and grassy scent lasts about an hour. On fabric, the grassiness lasts for a good 4-6 hours. Very unisex, very wearable for me. I ended up getting a full bottle of this and have been enjoying it on days I want to feel light or one with nature.

WOW! So very fresh and green. Im lying down on newly mown lawn on a cool spring day. Its spot on. Its lovely to smell in the middle of winter. The mint is low key but present and I definitely get the chamomile softness and the sweetness from the clover. I have no idea what fig leaves smell like so I cant comment. The musk, cedar and moss hold the fort to the end. As an experienced gardener I guess I am very tuned into the fragrances of plants and this smells so natural. No BO or bug spray here! Im so glad the musk is never strong in Oriza fragrances. It is sad for me that the longevity is not good but I guess that is mostly down to the type of notes in this. Fresh and invigorating whilst it lasted.

Everyone seems to have their own little fantasy with this perfume. For me it was a redwood forest in a spring rain. Like, the whole thing, down to the ferns and the moss and pine cones. I LOVE it. I was able to sample all of the Oriza Legrand fragrances and this is my favorite. All of them kind of have a musty, sickly sweet undernote, what is that? I have no idea. It smells like an old 19th century farm house. But for some reason that crisp green herbal spark in Deja Le Printemps makes it work. It's a unique addition to my collection.

This magnificient fragrance perfectly captures the smell of a 7pm cooling lawn after a sunny day. I can see dandelions and crickets. It is singular, beautiful, elegant and playful as well. This reminds me a lot of Relique d'Amour (without the wet chapel vibe). It's almost as if they depicted the same place, each focusing on different details. To me, Déjà le printemps depicts the blooming garden of the abandoned chapel that is Relique. Ideal for spring/summer and during the day. Lasts a lot longer than Relique on my skin.

Bitter grassy notes to open -- certainly mown hay and clover, a little aromatic and tangy like fennel. This is the smell of hot, crushed wild grass that is still green, full of acerbic poisonous sap. There is a lovely mild sweetness to this too, lively and evocative of tender green shoots, young and virile. This is where rattlesnakes find respite in the shade on a hot day. Deja Le Printemps is strong in character. Delicately applied to layer, this would bring a beautiful green balance to any soliflor.

Ok on my skin this isn't green at all. Maybe because I had the pleasure of smelling Viola decumbens, a gentle smelling Spring flower. To my nose this is the same exact smell. And what they usually call Violet in the perfume world to me doesn't smell of any flower I've ever smelled in nature. But in any case, on a paper strip or on my skin, I sense no traces of Vetiver or Cedar. It is Violet first, then musky in a feminine way. And possibly the only Oriza fragrance that doesn't smell old fashioned.

I am sampling this currently after being recommended to try it at a local perfumery. On paper, this is something I would not usually go for but HOLY smokes this is amazing. If springtime could be bottled, it would be this. That feeling of coming out of a long, deep winter when you can feel the change in the air and everything just smells and looks different? This is that! The grass, mint, and fig leaf come through so beautifully. I can't justify buying a big bottle yet but soon!

A refreshing, delicate, green fragrance that authentically offers up each note listed in it’s composition as though carried on a breeze. Springtime, indeed, but also suitable for summer or a warm fall day. The longevity/sillage could be better, but this is the kind of fragrance one wears for one’s self not just others. To wear it is to both recall memories and attach to new.

This perfume is one of two from Oriza that I adore - Horizon. Deja is clean, green, dry, a natural. Gorgeous Spring and summer scent. Its a Monet in a bottle - hazy, country paint strokes in liquid form. You think its going to disappear after an hour but its more tenacious than you think. Get their sample pack - you won't be disappointed.

Unbelievably yummy, fresh, green scent. Very figgy and grassy. It's like a lighter hearted Philosykos, and frankly I think I might love it more (though it doesn't last as long).

Halfway through my little sample box, this sample of this house at this point may be the most unwearable of the ones I tried so far, but simultaneously it is also the one that conjures up the most nostalgic memories for me. To give this verdict a little background, in my home country - Germany - there is a deeply rooted culture of natural self-medication with a plethora of herbal remedies. There are herbal rubs and soaks to cure sore muscles, herbal infusions/teas to cure anything from a sore throat to an upset tummy, little herbal pillows/bundles for headaches, and concentrated tinctures of herbal essences for the digestive system and overall immunity. Those herbal remedies may most commonly contain things like camomille, melissa, peppermint, sweet clover, fennel, wolf's bane, sage, valeriana, liquorice, aniseed, mugwort, and many more things I just can't remember off the top of my head. Well, the opening of this fragrance smells exactly like a cough drop ointment my mom used to give me diluted in water whenever I was sick, sharp and very herbal with a strong camomile note on top. The dry down is more gentle and pleasing, the camomile milder now with soft green herbal undertones, like an already cooled down herbal infusion. I don't find it unpleasant at all, mind, I just connect it so strongly to home remedies, that it would be really hard for me to consider it a fragrance to wear. If I smelled it on another person I would also not mind it, but I would presume they have some smaller ailment which they are currently self-treating. Now, I do not mean to deter people from this fragrance with this! This is really just my very specific subjective impression that is largely due to my cultural background. If you like it, do wear it and wear it proudly! It smells very close to nature, very grounded. Like the goddess Eostre walking through the forest in springtime to wake up all that lives and grows for the new season. While the opening felt a bit more masculine, the dry-down is unisex, maybe leaning slightly feminine. Decent sillage and longevity too. I will never wear it out, but I really do appreciate the creative effort and nostalgic feeling it's giving me. Solid like.

Obsessed with the scent, not thrilled by the sillage. I have to get *real* close to this one to get anything, but it absolutely evokes its namesake. In fact, I described it not knowing what it was trying to be, and I was spot on with the official description, citing dewy grass, daisies, and the wind in spring. It’s a wisp, though. Unsure if I can justify the full size at this price point and it’s *impossible* to get at a lower cost in the U.S... I also got Relique d’Amour in this round of samples, and though I’ve been fantasizing about smelling Deja for nearly a year at this point, I think I like Relique more despite being quite an upbeat and bubbly person. Deja is optimistic: nascent, budding, bobbing in the breeze. Relique, in contrast, is somber: ancient, moldering, statuesque in the fog. Both are evocative, but if I’m ever to choose a poem, it’s always the darker one. I love you, Mary Oliver, but it’s going to be Frank Stanford every time if I’m forced to choose! Guess it’s just the Appalachian in me. Final thoughts: A green and smiling sister to Relique. I see the faces of Mucha's seasons, coy muses wrapped in vibrant layers of aesthetic history, stated simply as can be: Spring. The wind blows over dewy blades of grass and the sun warms the pollen on the lilies and daisies. You can almost hear the air twinkling around you — like laughter, like chimes. The faint aroma of chamomile wafts out of an open window from your lone cabin in a pastoral landscape. It's enchanting, and a better performer than Relique longevity and projection-wise... but is it really me?

I've red many reviews saying that it smells so delicate and ethereal. To me it doesn't smell as innocent and and springtime-like as the bottle and description suggests. What it evokes to me is the fields in late summer, when the harvest is done and wild plants and flowers start growing in, dampened by the first autumn rain. Also, something about it is quite sexy, like human skin after a long walk in nature. It's green but not in a fresh way, more like in a natural herbaceous way, like actual freshly picked plants. When I first tried it, it reminded me of something, but I really couldn't put my finger on it. Today I pulled out my Womanity decant to smell it again and review it, and then I realized: they have very much in common to me. I guess it's the fig leaf that gives them a similar damp-green vegetable latex note, which I guess is the note I perceive the most in this perfume. Deja la Primtemps smells quite different tho, very prominent and vegetabe fig latex note, but not in a sticky "humid" way like in Womanity, in here it's rounded up by other dry and fresh notes. I love its chypre-like structure, the base notes (of which I get vetiver the most, perhaps made a bit more bitter by oakmoss) make it agrestic yet quite refined and more complex than other green frags. Truly a gem for those who love the countryside and the smell of actual plants. I can see myself wearing this for outdoors activities in late spring or summer.

A delicate, slightly sweet, fresh green scent. I would put Deja Le Printemps together with other zen-like scents such as Calvin Klein's Truth, Bond No. 9's High Line and Nuit Etoilee by Annick Goutal. The grass is truly green in this scent, slightly sweetened in a natural manner by the clover note. The galbanum brings to mind an association with Chanel's No. 19 but not as strong as in No. 19. The camomile, mint and fig are present as well but there is nothing loud about this scent. Truth would be far more aquatic than Deja Le Printemps, Nuit Etoilee has a wonderful strong mint note that is muted here and High Line has the hyacinth note that makes it different from Deja Le Printemps and the others. It's not predominantly any single note but a nicely crafted, very natural smelling, calming as camomile tea, green scent. Sadly the lasting power is pretty abysmal on my skin, lasting about 2 hours and slightly better on clothes. It is a pity as I found sniffing this scent very soothing, totally unlike my usual desires of heady flowers and rich spices but in my opinion would have been a worthy buy if not for the poor staying power which is unfortunately worse than my experiences with L'Artisan. For those who have better fortune with the longevity, lucky you and enjoy!

181) Forever green un floral vert délicat assez rétro. On peut voir une veine un peu chypré comme dans le récent Perle de Mousse d’Ann Gérard. Le nom est parfaitement choisi, l'effet général est celui d'un vaste jardin au printemps lorsqu'on vient de couper le gazon entre deux averses. A mon goût le meilleur parfum "purement vert" naturaliste que l'on puisse trouver, je veux dire par naturaliste très éloigné des parfums verts abstraits comme Pentachord Verde de Tauer et plutôt basé sur le rendu d'une expérience. Le souvenir d'une ballade dans un parc Parisien ou la première fois qu'on se rend compte que l'herbe coupée ça peut sentir délicieusement bon? A delicatequite retro green floral. You can smell a chypré vein as in the recent Perle de Mousse d'Ann Gerard. The name is well chosen, the overall effect is that of a large garden in the spring when the grass is cut between two showers. To my taste the best Naturalist "pure green" perfume that we can find, by naturalist I mean very distant from abstract green scents like Pentachord Verde by Tauer and rather based on the rendering of an experiment. The memory of a walk in a Parisian park, or the first time you realize that cut grass can smell deliciously good?

Sweet Grass, Light Woodsy Musk, Hint of Green Opening Smells like a freshly stocked cedar barn hayloft (no indolic funk) in August. This is an olfactive portrait of a freshly stacked hayrick. It opens with a lovely fresh bitter green scent then within in minutes it becomes photorealistic hay/straw scent. There is also a hint of a honeyed green scent in the heart likely from the clover. I do not get as much greenness as some of the other reviewers, but perhaps it's because I love green scents and like to overdose myself with them that my expectations for greenness are just too high. As a typical Wisconsinite, I have smelled my fair share of fresh hay/straw on a farm, and this scent is all hay to my nose and very little grass. Perhaps there is also leather saddle sitting in the middle of this haystack. As it dries down I get a lot of musky earthy and leathery vetiver with hint of woodiness. This is surprising light on my skin and fades fairly quickly. This is solid like for me, but not a love. I would have hoped for a fresher wetter green scent with "Printemps" in the name. This is a dry late August scent to my nose and does not live up to my expectations of spring.

Most realistic fresh-cut grass note I have ever encountered. Truth be told it reminds me more of a lawn in summer than spring. But it is nice. Within an hour it seemed like all the green grass was gone and that the perfume was close to fading into oblivian. I went about my day and figured I would go without perfume once this disappeared. Soon enough I started smelling the perfume wafting up to my nose, but I really needed to put it close to my nose to be able to describe it. There was no green grass left at all, and it smelled woody instead. The dryness of it seemed like cedar. This phase went on for a couple more hours before it became more of a vetyver scent. After a couple more hours, I swear I smelled sweet fig leaf. The perfume was a skin scent for most of its wear. In total it lasted about 10 hours on me. While it is much too weak for my taste and also not my idea of spring, I really enjoyed its complexity and evolution. I would still recommend it because a green perfume like this is typically not a sillage monster anyway, and it is also more complex and interesting than most perfumes of this genre.

If you love the smell of freshly cut grass, you’ll love this too; I certainly do, even if it makes me sneeze a little. Despite its grassy character, this fragrance is also creamy. When I later checked the notes, seeing fig leaves didn’t surprise me; I had already sensed their presence. Clean, airy florals accompany the greenery, always carrying it into a calm and happy space. There’s a touch of minty freshness, but it doesn’t feel like washing mint under running water; it simply supports and uplifts the freshness. I adored this one: green, creamy, cheerful like stepping barefoot into the very first day of spring! The only downside is how weak it is :( It makes you want to drench yourself head to toe just to stay wrapped in it a little longer.... Tag(s): grassy, spring, creamy fig

This is the ultimate green fig scent, from the start to finish it surprised me with a very natural feeling of freshly cut grass, the first hours were filled with very natural smelling green fig leaf, the heart brings more accords of freshly cut grass, a bit sour + a very healthy amount of clover giving this an almost watery feel. Oh and there is an overload of mint which together with other notes smells very refreshing, usually mint tends to get a bit masculine on me, but in "Deja Le Printemps" the whole composition felt very feminine on me. Lasting power was excellent - 8 hours, for such a scent really good job, silage was very prominent. Worth a try and price tag for sure.

Am I the only one that prefers the chamomile dry down to the green opening? Upon application you're hit with the smell of a freshly cut lawn and something sweetish- I thought it smelled like rum. I didn't get any mint at all, which was a bit disappointing since I was looking forward to that note. The dry down is so pretty... chamomile and clover musk. Like my grandmother's garden in the summertime. Late spring and summer.

I’m back to say that though I used to feel its longevity and sillage were subpar, my perfume fan coworker said she could smell it on me and even picked out some of the notes after having it on for about 5 hours. Don’t count this one out. It’s beautiful for spring! Don’t ruin its poetry with layering — it does not go well with sweet or synthetic lotions/perfumes.

It smells truly lovely. Like tender grass, slighly sweet and wet. A bit mentholated, very refreshing. Not dated at all. If I did not own You or someone like you already, I would get a full bottle of this instead. I am not saying they smell similar, but they are both transparent, green, photorealistic and poetic fragrances that I would wear in the same context.

This smells as fresh and as real as a spring meadow, with light touches of mint and chamomile and a stronger touch of clover over grassier notes. As it dries down, the vetiver and the moss become more evident, but they stay close to the skin. This is enjoyable, but it's not the powerhouse that other Oriza L. Legrand fragrances can be.

this fragrance didnt feel as green to me as I would have liked. In fact I think it was quite chamomile forward with a light honey'd garden in the background. The vetiver and musk take over and last and last and last. Ultimately, a bit too heavy on the musk for me but not an unpleasant fragrance.

My instant favorite for a spring scent. First a staccato into your nose with fifty shades of green: fig leaf, freshly cut grass, cedre, moss, etc. In a few minutes, this turns into a softer note perfectly blending into your skin's fragrance. What a beauty!

I prefer the fresh green start to the musky chamomile middle, but the late dry down returns back to the fresh greenness. Smelled up close, that middle section is a little dusty, but probably smells beautiful wafting on the breeze. I like this a lot.

Okay so I haven’t tried this yet but I’m itching to buy it and right now all I can think is how this is exactly what I imagine a Disney Princess to smell like and I mean that in the best possible way

Sexy! Earthy green mossy play. Could definitely be worn by a woman or man, slight lean to masculine. A little minty, a little astringen woodsy, a little herby. Great for summer.

Springtime yellow-greens, a melon-y fairy dance of buds ripening into flower. Soft sweet grass and honeyed figs . The mint gives just a touch of an aromatic quality. Lovely.

def clean laundry drying on a line in the middle of a verdant tall grass field on me, soo nice ! still looking for a winner soapy scent but this one is cutting it close...

This is such an interesting scent. Minty chamomile. Feels cooling, refreshing, calming, and comforting. Soothing, too. Makes me think of a serene countryside.

Most realistic green fragrance I've smelled to date.

As a huge fan of Chypre Mousse I got a sample of this expecting a slightly more floral/dewy version of that. Unfortunately it seems this didn't retain my favorite elements of Chypre Mousse, especially its longevity. DLP opens with a creamy soft green floral that is quite reminiscent of early spring, right when the first flowers are starting to pop up. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to go anywhere from there, other than developing an aquatic note that reminds me of Acqua di Gio (blegh). It fades to a skin scent around hour 3/4, and doesn't last much past that. Not for me, but I'm sure this is a favorite for some.

I’ve been sampling a lot of perfumes similar to this lately so I have to admit this didn’t wow me. However, it conjures up exactly what the description says, dewy grass and open fields. Thankfully, while a lot of aquatic notes in fragrances tend to come off as overly synthetic, Deja Le Printemps doesn’t fall victim to that.

It reminds me of the smell of emptying the grass catcher when mowing the lawn. A little dusty also. Not unpleasant, but not something I would choose to smell like.

This is somewhat similar to Chypre Mousse, without the strong fennel/anise, softer, grassier, and not as sweet. It's soft, and the silage is moderate-soft and the longevity is moderate. Edit, Nov. 2014: I originally liked it, It smells grassy and had a very yellow-green facet, but then it started to remind me of bug spray or pesticide . . . or something like that; slightly nauseating. There's something about it that isn't right. So I got a second opinion from my dad. . and he said it smelled like BO. This fragrance is not bad, but it started to get unappealing after a while which is disappointing. I can't disconnect the pesticide sort of aspect from it. I don't know. :( 6.5/10

at first you get the freshness of spring blossoming garden after opening the window. and you hardly can describe what you see outside but the green freshness of everything. and then you take few breathe of air full of busy spring you close this window and make few steps back. because you understand that this garden is not yours, everithing sound to be artificial. no my nose this combination of notes is not brilliant. may be too oldfashioned. peut-être.

A freshly cut lawn, weeds included. A menthol-like, not minty, note that turned me completely against this fragrance.

This is the GREENEST GRASSIEST fragrance I've ever smelled by far. This is literally rolling around on a hot humid summer day on a field of grass. You then literally rip up a handful of grass from the lawn, mixed with (as others have mentioned), the weeds, as well as some soil clinging to the roots of the grass. There's clover all right, but it's not the clover flower you're imagining, rather it's the actual leaves of the clover itself (they got caught too it your handful of field). Often times, we describe "greenness" in perfumes, but I think we're imagining either pine, or a non-descript perfumey wateriness, like in CdG Amazingreen or CK Truth for Men. This, however, is true plantlife crushed in your hands, then bottled up in alcohol spray essence. It's incredibly realistic. The only other scents I've come across to do this so realistically is To See a Flower by CB I hate perfume, but that is really more cut and crushed flower stems mixed with flower leaves, with a healthy dose of the flowers themselves. Another scent which comes to mind is Coven by Andrea Maack, with a very realistic soil accord. However Coven focuses more on soil, with the plantlife taking a back seat. In Deja le Printemps, it's the other way around. Also Coven has a boozy oaked scotch whisky background. For a fresher more floral take on this scent with a hint of citrus check out Mykonos 12 by Maria Cristofilis. What's truly tragic for me is that my wife doesn't enjoy it. It's too bitter for her, she says she feels like she's just caught a mouthful of grass! Unfortunately I'll be putting my bottle up on The Bay.

I suppose the end of November is a good time to enjoy a perfumed fantasy of Spring's (very) early arrival. ...but what makes this vernal eruption truly intriguing is how it doesn't rely on any spring floral clichés (enjoyable as they may be). No hyacinths, narcissus, daphne, or other early blooms make an appearance. Instead, Oriza L. Legrand's Deja Le Printemps attempts to convey the budding of spring foliage and other greenery, ...and there may be some inexact sense of a muddy meadow or trailside sprouting forth new grass and forbs. The greenness of grass & galbanum, the aromatic pungency of chamomile & mint, and the subtly slight sweetness of clover & fig leaf accord all combine to suggest the annual renaissance of temperate climes, ...albeit, if the wearer suspends some portion of disbelief. Regardless of full recreative accuracy, this highly piquant pleasure may be desired by those that seek the less-explored avenues of pungently green semi-chypre aromas. However, make no mistake, for as the drydown persists the strong note of vetiver also becomes prominent, more so on skin than blotter. Vetiver + menthol + galbanum + chamomile, etc. makes for a challenging blend. ...and with only a modest amount of traditional perfumed sweetness to soften the blow. This is a curiously unusual (and antique: 1920!) fragrance formula, ...but always remember, there is a reason that unusual scents and popular scents differ widely in their attributes.

At first I thought it was too similar to Amouage Memoir Man. Then I sprayed it side by side and realised it’s totally different. The chamomile and fig adds creamy sweetness to the opening. The mint is very gentle, not toothpasty at all. There is a feeling of damp soil with a mix of herbal, medicinal greens, and it is these qualities that made me connect it to Memoir. Everything about this perfume is well balanced and restrained, even the wear experience. You get continuous wafts of the scent as it evolves on your skin, but people around you will not notice it at all. The best way to describe this perfume is an earthy farmer type of guy fresh from harvesting vegetables outdoors and now preparing dinner for a small gathering with his close friends. It’s a modest, pleasant and down to earth scent. Pretty nice for night time wears.

*update* testing this a second time and yeah, it's still hay! Take it from a kid who grew up in a rural farm area... this is barnyard fresh (as opposed to barnyard funk). There are worse things than a clean spring barn but my search for grass continues. ------ Interesting that others are finding fresh cut grass in this when to me it is straight-up HAY, like the petting zoo when it's clean in the morning before goats have pooped all over it. The first sniff really did take me to that excitement of being a little kid at the petting zoo and filling up an ice cream cone with all kinds of seeds to feed the baby goats. And I don't mean it in a bad way. This is super outdoorsy but more barn-like to me (sans the animals) than freshly-mown fields. I'll update more when I get over the overwhelming nostalgia of that first whiff.

The brands brief above is exactly how this smells. Like exactly. I was not the intended audience for a fresh dewy spring time scent (being a little forest gremlin who loves abandoned gothic churches and cemeteries) but when I spritzed this in store, I was swooped away to a grass field full of wildflowers and I was mentally frolicking through them as a fae child. It gives me imagery of Copplas Marie Antoinette where Kirsten Dunst runs her hand through tall grass and flowers languidly and dream-like. It is a beautiful fresh air perfumed by grass and florals. It feels wet like morning dew. It smells so fresh and light, the perfect whimsical spring time scent. This is in my top 5 Orizas. This is the only spring time scent I need. It is bottled perfection.

Not your average dewy spring. It's more of a dry scent, the moss, and vetiver are quite strong, and it smells like one of those beautiful end-of-spring days when the sun is high in the sky, hay is still a bit green and the grass begins to dry. It's somewhere between Chypre Mousse and Foin Fraîchement Coupé, easier to wear than Chypre Mousse, which is strong, and less of a barber shop scent than Foin. I love to wear it to bed, it's ligth and conforting, also, for once the fig leaf is not a red flag for my nose. If Deja Le Printemps was a color it would be a beautiful shade of straw yellow.

Received my tiny sample of this today along with a slew of other tiny niche brand samples. It's a very green scent, opening is very grassy, with tones of fig and mint. The mint starts to fade, and galbanum joins the fig and grass notes, drying down to a woody vetiver and light mossy finish. It gives an image of grassy, slightly vegetal spring meadows with fig trees close by. Unfortunately longevity and sillage are poor on me - 2 hours, and the last 30 minutes I have to sniff hard to smell it at all. Much as I like it, this will probably prevent me buying a FB.

Dandelion first on: bitter green, milky sap, fresh rooty dirt, but with an almost orris smooth undertone. Fig comes in green and dry, like it isn’t quite ripe, but adds just a touch of sweetness. The fig comes up much more strongly on dry down, becoming more fruity and sweet. It does smell like a true fig on me; sugary purple seedy fruit. It almost smells dried, in the way that dried figs have super concentrated sugar content; it’s that sweet on me, but it still retains a woody green edge, like the leathery skin.

This begins with a delightfully mild grass and wildflowers, underpinned with an old world clover accord (predominantly amyl salicylate). There is a phase that vaguely reminds me of chamomile flowers, but no sooner than all of this appears does a fig accord and what feels like a lot of musk comes barreling through. I sort of wish that this wasn't such an abrupt shift, as the opening hour is quite delightful. This is a bit reedy as well, compared to the several other Oriza L. Legrand releases that I adore.

Super clean, realistic greenery, with wild florals and dew. Reminds me of the fields we used to run around in in rural Hungary at my grandma's farm decades ago. Only a hind of sweet, more earthy, herbal, but ultimately green. Really nice fresh spring scent. I'm glad the herbal notes are sufficiently toned down here, and that the sweetness isn't really there. Gives the ultimate provincial flower field vibe. This line has been very impressive so far!
