Bright Red

I can't understand why this perfume is rated so low. This is a great perfume. I am a red wine lover and I can say that this perfume smells like a good aged red wine. Yes, there is both rose and precious wood in the background of this lovely red wine. Persistence of the scent on the skin is excellent. And this perfume is like no other. An interesting piece of oflactory art.

I received samples of the new Orlov releases from Luckyscent and I'm in love with Bright Red. Cashmere note is amazing, very smooth with a creamy touch from the sandalwood. This will be my first Orlov for sure.

This reminds me of a wild lovemaking session. Lots of sex, saliva and red wine. 🍷 20 minutes later...it’s an olfactory afterglow!

#705 in my "Tour de Fragrance" One Christmas when I was 7 or 8 my sister gave me some sandalwood incense cones as a gift. It's a scent I still love and I love it in this fragrance. I was less certain I would love the incense and rose notes. I've encountered other types of incense, especially in Asian religious shrines, in European cathedrals, but if you're inside a 20,000 square foot cathedral or an open air shrine, incense is usually pleasant, not off-putting. One day I was working out of my company's investor relations office in the Manhattan financial district and my usual driver was unavailable, so they sent this guy who had turned his town car into a religious shrine to his guru, complete with a mini-brazier of burning incense. During all the times I had previously encountered incense I had never before been trapped in a tight space with it. The claustrophobia was so overwhelming and I was so ready to retch all over the back seat, that I asked him to immediately pull over, got out, hailed a cab, went to my meeting, and when I got back to the office, called Big Apple Town Cars and told them they never to send that guy to drive me again. I've since been really wary of incense, as a scent, especially in a tight space. I feel the same about rose. Overall, Bright Red is pleasant. It doesn't overdo the rose or the incense notes like many Middle Eastern scents, and it becomes more pleasant and easy to wear in a half hour or so, BUT, I still would not spray more than a hint in a car pool, elevator, close office space, if at all. Personally I think fragrances with incense and rose notes are date scents only for an open environment, not something to wear in a tight space. I've ordered a full bottle of Bright Red. I have already bought bottles of Orlov Golden Prince, Red Shield, Star of the Season, Supreme Star. I have other incense scents that I also own and feel the same about, like Supremacy Incense, Full Incense, Hindu Kush, Black Afgano. But I mostly stick to fougeres for the office, even marine/aquatic scents, all to avoid a fragrance that's offensive in a close space. So I think you'll enjoy this fragrance, but I think a van load of passengers will not.

Vetiver, with hints of patchouli and cashmere. Not very interesting. The advantage is that you can wear it in any eventuality.
