I bought it second hand over the web so no testing before buying. But since "Walk on the wild side" was such an amazing scent with among the best leathery notes I've ever smelt (also bought without testing beforehand), I took the risk with this one again. Because it also has a leather note in it in the notes' list. The riskiest part seemed sweetness. Then I got it, sprayed and... (Here I don't really know which superlative words I should use but since they mostly have religious undertones, I just skip it.) I smelt it on my hand and I got goosebumps -- something that I can't remember I have ever experienced before with smelling something. I even started laughing because this was an absolutely mindblowing smell! I have laughed for the same reason with only one other scent out of the hundreds: Opus II by Amouage. So just like it was with the "Walk on the wild side", the same incredibly good leather or suede is here and the sweetness didn't bother me at all, it actually added to it. I couldn't believe my nose that something like this exists. As mentioned in the reviews, it gives a sense of ultimate luxury. Maybe really gold has been turned into a perfume here, in the best possible way. It goes straight into the "6 points out of 5" category of my smells. Edit: I realised that I have one other smell that is somewhat similar: Mentor by Theodoros Kalotinis. They are definitely different scents but similar is the unique sweetness in them. If something leathery would be layered with Mentor, it could get similar to Flame of Gold.

We are dealing with the LARGEST SILAGE bomb ever made here guys! Ok so I have heard from two people today that this fragrance fills up a room. One person from across the room said it smells good in here, then when she got close to me she said it was me, the other guy at work came up to me on break in the break room which is huge, said he followed my scent trail and when opened the door the whole room smelled like me, not over whelming headache strong, just able to smell it. -All this from 0.5ml (half a vial) from lucky scent which is about 2 sprays I have also got a few complements but this is 6 hours later and the silage is still monster off the little applied. This bottle would lasts for years as one only needs one spray max. I did get one person say they smelled cocobutter right after I sat down this morning which it had to be me, esp after just applying it, I'm sure it was a bomb in the office today lol!! Wow I am shocked 10/10

This is jaw droppingly good. No bias here either and let me tell you why I say that. I order about 40-50 samples every month from lucky scent. I have for the last 6 months. When I get them, I sample with out looking what the scent is first. I do that because of the psychological aspect of "expectation" . This is a extremely high quality scent. I can just tell. I've been around for awhile to know. It's blended very discretely also. I knew this was going to be an expensive one. Would I pay retail? I never do, but in this case....yes. I will have a bottle of this. I've only felt this way about one other frag and that was my beloved AJ Arabia Black I. I also payed full retail for it as well as it is also exclusive juice. I don't even think this juice really has a season to it. I honestly see this as a millionaires signature scent.. 10/10

Sexiest scent on the planet! Much like diamonds, Flame of Gold is addictive. It’s a fragrance that I find myself craving, often stealing a spritz when nobody else is looking. As far as warm amber and vanilla scents go, it’s pretty spot on, somehow managing to be entirely enveloping yet remarkably transparent. Again, like the stone from which it takes inspiration, Flame of Gold is multi-faceted, offering up glimpses of different odours, a touch of herbs here, a wave of amber there and shades of Obsession here, and there, as it plays out on the skin. I can say that multifaceted luxury is a consistent theme across the line, that smell as classic and complex as painstakingly cut diamonds.

Opens with almost cream soda like playful vanilla which soon dissipates to reveal a throbbing Amber core. The sweetness retreats too which is welcome and it becomes much more dusty, and woody after a sweet couple of hours. There could even be a hint of patchouli earthying up the drydown but make no mistake this is an amber dominant fragrance of the highest quality and lasting power. Really, really good stuff for Orlov and I only applied a tiny amount and it lasted for hours. I rate flame of Gold but does it have enough to set it apart from other high quality ambers? That's for you to decide....I'm saying it's worth a sniff and was a pleasure to wear for me.

I've had this perfume for two years, and I didn't quite get it at first. But today, it finally revealed itself to me. On this day of our first snowfall, I decided to use it generously as I planned to spend some time outside. I can say that Flame of Gold is a cocooning, warm fragrance. It carries an incredible milk chocolate vibe—rich, warm, and full-bodied, yet never heavy. If you love gourmand fragrances - highly recommended.

This is a masterpiece! Lovely scent, sexy, exciting and totally unisex. It's uniqe yet reminds me of a lot of scents I love. Love it as much on myself as on my man.

i have old version amber soft with patchouli very nice perfume 10/10

Don't even think about buying the newer version. Such a pathetic and synthetic smell, if someone has tried the original formulation than I bet this will be like a hate for them, no way near the original formulation, only name is the same. The quality is just too bad for such high end perfume I won't even pay 20$ for new formulation. Don't waste your money on this shit 0/10 for mw

The initial fruity scent quickly calms down and the patchouli leather oud blend turns into a fresh pleasant scent. i like the scent. Although it is suitable for over 40 years old. whatever it does not seem very suitable for daily use. 7/10

The place where the spray head of the bottles connects to the body is easly breaking very thin. The perfume went to waste. I tried to connect. They didn't bother to answer.

Heavy union between leather and cedar. The vanilla that should be sweetened is unacceptable. I can't see it worn by a woman.

دومینیک روپیون از آن دسته عطار هایی است که نباید به سادگی از کنار نامشان گذشت.عطار بزرگی که در سال ۲۰۱۸ لقب استاد عطر باز را دریافت کرده ودر کارنامه خود ساخت ده ها شاهکار عطر سازی را برای برند های گوناگون دارد.عطاری که تبحر خاصی در استفاده از وانیل دارد.شعله زر یا شعله طلا از ارلوو از ساخته های دست این استاد بزرگ است .اما این به معنای بلایند بای کردن یک عطر نمی باشد. هر چند ناگفته نماند که گاهی بلایند بای کردن هم لذت های خود را دارد..... شعله طلا عطری کاملا چوبی است .از ابتدا تا انتها سدار نقش برجسته ای دارد و سایر بازیگران فقط در نمایان شدن جلوه های مختلف آن نقش دارند. اضافه شدن ماسک، پچولی ادویه زده و...... چرم ( در کنار وتیور)یکی از رایحه های بسیار مورد علاقه من است .بدون اغراق ده ها کار نیش و غیر نیش چرم در کالکشن من وجود دارند .اما جالب اینجاست که نمی دانم با انکه در ترکیبات این عطر چرم ذکر شده است اما شامه مبتدی من نت چرم غالبی در این ادکلن پیدا نمی کند.در ساخت این ادکلن طبق نقد ها از ISO E هم استفاده شده است. بسته بندی عطر و جنس شیشه آن بسیار شکیل و سلطنتی است.در مجموع رایح آن شیک، گرم ، رگه هایی از شیرینی و تلخی، دوست داشتنی ، کلاس بالا و رسمی است .قیمت آن در سایت های خارجی از ۱۵۰ یورو تا ۲۵۰ یورو است که در هر دو حالت بالا است. با توجه به قیمت نسبتا بالای آن علیرغم رایحه شیک ،خرید آن را به دوستانی که عطر باز نیستند توصیه نمی کنم.

Nice blend; scent of chocolate earth Iris. I dont see anyone truly hating this fragrance. This does lean masculine. it states, "Im too sexy for you" vs "give me more candy". This is for the man (or woman) who loves a gourmand perfume but doesn't want to smell like food. Tom Ford Metallic popped in my head as a comparison (however that was vanilla vs cacao). I do not smell leather. Must like cacao and an iris vibe - if you like them both, do not hesitate buying this fragrance. May not be for the hot summer but when it's 70F degrees and under - you are good to ride out.

Fragnet had it for a great price so I bought it. This is nice. Soft leather, very inoffensive. No animalics on me. Great for daily use in cooler weather. Gotta overspray it to be noticeable.I don't mind that. I rather go light on the trigger and enjoy the calmness it brings. Great skin scent. It's not original, but for the price I paid and the great presentation, I should had gotten two. I don't think D Ropion is the perfumer. I did not see it listed in his database. Nonetheless, it did not disappoint.

Wow. Is this ever leather. I got the sample because I saw vanilla and patchouli also. I'm not a big leather/suede girl, but I like it sometimes, like in Bottega Venetta, Cuir Beluga, or even in PG's Arabian Horse. This starts out a strong leather, stays so in the middle and finishes that way. It's just too much for me. I can tell they used expensive materials for this but it's not not my thing because I like leather to be mixed more thoroughly with other notes; not the main note.

The first spray reminds me of RM No.5, with floral & vanilla nuances. Just hang out for a moment, headed in a different direction. Leather began to appear showing up with a vanilla background, a floral impression that began to toned down that initially played in front, switching positions to the player behind him. For you vanilla leather lovers, maybe this is one worthy of your collection.

A delicate masterpiece . A slightly spicy and comforting smell , which initially has a gothic dusty feeling . Powerful amber , vanilla , patchouli and gorgeous woody / leather . One of the most interesting wintery fragrances which is both warm hug after a walk in the cold and also a dark mysterious and dusky cathedral . 10/10

So who's the original perfumer for this one? Shyamala Maisondieu or Dominique Ropion? Just got flame of gold on July 2 2022. The notes from my 2 best perfume websites don't match. The one I have smells nice. Not complaining but if it's been reformulated, I'd like to know.
