This is the strangest of all fragrances in my collection. I absolutely love it. There is something about the waxiness and body of the composition that has me obsessively sniffing the back of my hand. There is something familiar, comforting and nostalgic about this juice. I’ve truly never smelled anything else like this. This is quite obviously Melaka strongly feminine, but here I am as a cisgendered male soaking it up with a smile. I don’t know when I’ll ever wear it out but in the mean time I will be sitting in my studio banging on my drum machines and synthesizers smelling the back of my hand like an addict. Performance isn’t that great in both the projection and sillage department but I really don’t care. This is a real natural perfume and they are notoriously difficult to make perform without chemical additives and fixatives...I’m looking at you iso e super, I’m looking at you ambroxan. I really love what this maison is doing. All their releases are high art. Such a unique brand in a sea of copycat perfume companies and money grab rehashes of the same old shit wearing a different badge with different marketing. Ormaie 🙌

I’m genuinely in love with this perfume. I wish it wasn’t so expensive but you truly get what you pay for with this. The white floral is very pleasant, sweet and light. I will agree that the citrus combination is leaning more lemony with the bergamot than orange but it’s still a delightful scent in my opinion. I’d wear this everyday if I could but with the price of it, she will likely be stored for special occasions. I also only sprayed a single small spritz on my hoodie and I could smell it for days without pressing it to my nose.

Mind-blowing transformative fragrance. It moves through three phases: A bright citrus opening— a peppered bergamot, lemon, mandarin shot for a short period Next it blooms into several hours of white florals — creamy tuberose, orange blossom and rose. Finally it settles into a rich vanillic, woodsy skin-scent with traces of immortelle that lasts for ages. It's really a pleasure to wear and experience these masterful reveals over time. I can't think of many other fragrances that take the wearer on such a gorgeous journey. Bravo.

A fresh light sweet orange blossom fragrance. The citrus beginning is fresh and sweet, not at all what I was expecting but absolutely for the better. The florals blend gorgeously but orange blossom is the star. The vanilla is beautiful, the sandalwood oh so smooth. On dry down it has a delicious sherbet veil. Somewhere in between the sweet citrus and sherbet it reminds me of a soft Safanad. Yum yum yum and I’m in love ❤️

It’s beautiful. I love the jasmin, orange flower and vanilla combination. The immortele reminds me of Mediterranean spring and summer. It’s so elegant and classy, perfect for the warmer season.

This scent is so lovely to me. Citrusy, floral and vanillic. People notice when you wear it because it doesn't smell like anything else.

Finally, an Ormaie that's worth buying! What's more, the company blurb has got it just right, for once - this *is* a 'solar scent', and one of the best and most radiant, bright, yet engaging and enveloping summer fragrances I've tried in a long, long while. Whilst the initial citrus blast is strong, it is also harmonious and not the screeching cacophony one so often gets, especially from eager-to-please all-natural perfumeries playing all of their citrus cards at once, ending up smelling like an explosion in the 4711 factory. The other thing which it does way better than most efforts from the same house, and than most all-naturals, is longevity and evolution. This is where I would hesitate to continue aligning it with colognes: not the merest whiff of lavender, no herbaceous greenery to soften the landing from all that citrus high, no woods to cushion the fall into dry-down. And it doesn't go the Cool Water/Eau d'Issey/CK 'fin de siecle' ozonic/marine route either. I must admit that from about an hour in I got as confused as I was intrigued: is this abstraction or just muddle? Is the absence of woody or green shading a troublesome continuation of the sunny head and heart, meaning the scent is more like a mild case of sunstroke, or are there other ways of achieving some necessary cooling for the dry-down? I totally get what @Pilikins likens to 'sherbet lemons': the scent finally veers towards the sweet, but not, for me, the powdery or the amber-y kind - if anything, it brought to mind the sadly now discontinued, old Molton Brown Sandalwood shower gel scent. The moment I made that connection, I smiled and resolved to get me some more of this. But equally, just a few seconds later I thought: wait, so the good thing about this perfume is that it smells as good as.... shower gel?? Jury' s still out folks - my sample vial is now totally empty and I haven't been able to make up my mind yet. And yes, that really is a rather good outcome: I'd rather be anticipating getting more and debating the merits of its abstraction than filing under 'yet another disappointment...'

Finally! Happy. Tangy in that zesty-light way, as if bergamot had rolled across a spring field and come out smiling. Then covered in lemon wax, not dull but with a satisfying sheen to it, like sunlit lacquer. Sniffing the soft pithy glow of a citrus segment peeled too cleanly, exposing its inner smile. Then, the lift, The Bloom. Jasmine arrives, but not in that heady oversexed way. She’s been watered down, not diluted but diffused—think steeping petals in warm water and bottling the steam. Almost tea-like, except she carries this cool translucent edge. Tuberose stands just slightly behind her, none buttery nor bombastic. She’s been politely told to stay in her lane, and this time, she's complied. Just creamy enough to keep the texture silken, but sheer enough to breathe through. The orange blossom does that thing orange blossom always does: tricks you into thinking of sunblock, but without the coconut cliché. That UV vibe is nothing near literal, though. Not Coppertone. It’s the psychological sensation of a Mediterranean terrace in July, white towels and sun-warmed skin, the idea of being protected and exposed at once. This is scented skin, not a scent on skin. A soft salty-woody breeze settles in after an hour or so. A light sandalwood, brushed rather than carved. Then a whisper of immortelle, that peculiar golden syrup of a flower I've identified as frenemy. She's having one of her good days, it seems, offering just a touch of sun-baked hay, salty-glow skin, the smell of someone who’s just returned from a walk near the cliffs. It turns the whole thing from pretty into somewhere. Still nothing mind-bending here, and we’ve smelled better niche white florals before. But this citrus-floral-woodsy blend is careful, built on light instead of weight. Intuitive. Balanced, breezy, and not trying too hard (thank god). If your classic formula had unusually—pleasantly good manners. Wears like warm silk on your first leisurely, solo holiday.

I like this fragrance, but I wish that it toned down the citruses and let the flowers in the juice speak for itself. This veered into Fairy cleaning liquid for quite a while in the top notes. It dissipates overtime, thank goodness, but never quite enough to fully let the tuberose, jasmine and orange blossom breathe. And I didn't smell the rose or this supposed pepper tree at all! I don't know why white florals are so intensely unpopular now and when done, are suffocated by fruit, woody notes and/or citruses. J'adore Infinissime is also a good example of that, which this perfume reminds me of, but at least this is nowhere near as bad as J'adore Infinissime and it doesn't make me feel ill at all. This perfume is casual, light and breezy and has both moderate sillage and longevity. I'd consider it a truly unisex fragrance, since nothing pulls at all masculine or feminine to me. The fact that it isn't intensely floral and feminine is what makes me like it and not love it. I love my white florals sweaty, fleshy, indolic and carnal, like the flowers thenselves, but this doesn't do that at all. It is a white floral for people who hate white florals. Look, each to their own, but this one just simply isn't for me. I am glad that 32° exists though, since that fragrance is Ormaie's true white floral and it is simply stunning! Due to this having some floralcy, not being overwhelming, not being intensely woody/spicy/oudhy/ambery, not smelling too intensely of Fairy liquid, being generally pleasant and smelling very clean, I'd give this about a 61⁄2 out of 10. It is nice and something I'd buy for a friend or a family member who like freshies, but simply would not be something I'd ever get myself. It's not who I am, which is okay, since not everything is and there is something there for everything. I just wish that true white florals weren't so abysmally rare now, though.

Sampled this last from the discovery set. In summary a powdery orange blossom that's slightly sweet and just a little bubblegum-y with the white florals assisting. It's a tad spicy if you look for the notes, but otherwise I interpret that facet as "bright" to lift up the composition. Overall 7/10 but very overpriced. I'm so surprised this is my no.2 pick from the brand. Thought I'd like other ones more but Ormaie's vanilla accord has ruined many of their scents for me. It's this powdery sweet vanilla very similar to Sylvaine Delacourte'a vanillas, and I just can't take it. Buyer beware!

Momentarily straight-up sunscreen before orange blossom, citrus and jasmine come out to play. I bought a sample for the prominent orange blossom note and I’m not disappointed, but I think a better orange blossom fragrance is out there for me. This sort of smells like being blinded by the sun, and it’s a good fragrance but not what I’m looking for.

This is the true Nuxe oil perfume and I mean in the best way possible. Glorious and sparkling, sunblock, warm neroli fragrance. If you just love the fragrance of the dry oil and want something from the niche world to wear in warm weather - this could be the dream come true.

Very fresh natural scent, perfect for summer. Unisex, a nice combinaison of orange blossom and tuberose with a base of sandalwood. Perfect for hot day, fresh, clean, a perfect fragrance for Holidays. 8/10

First impression: 3 hours ago you put on bugspray (that would be the Citronellol), 2 hours ago you put on sunscreen, 1 hour ago you put on a pretty tuberose orange blossom vanilla sandalwood situation. 20-30 minutes in: I see the elegance of this composition, though it is so restrained that I can't smell it at all unless my nose is within 1 inch or less of my arm. The florals are sunny (like flowers in the sun) and summery, on the edge of tropical without the standard cues of coconut or pineapple or frangipani or what have you. The jasmine and tuberose here are the cheerful, friendly cousins of any dark, femme fatale white florals. I don't actively like it but I kind of applaud it for not being sweet. The vanilla in the base is not at all heavy-handed, and the bugspray/soapy thing is kind of quietly there in the background for me, like an alternative to a green note as a foil to the florals. Nothing green here. An hour in it's like it has all smeared together and nearly all worn away; sort of like I sweat off the bugspray, the sunscreen, and the perfume but the impression of the blend lingers. It's more interesting than appealing to me. I love a white floral, tropical or otherwise, and this smells basically nice, but it's not for me.

This may be simple but I like it. This smells old-fashioned in a good way. This is a white floral perfume with a citrus opening and is reminsicent of Classic French perfumery. It smells classy, soapy, floral and sophisticated.

I always roll my eyes when someone says a perfume smells like sunscreen, but you know what? This perfume really does smell like sunscreen. It's remarkable that an all-natural brand like Ormaie managed to create something so artificial smelling. It's not a creamy sunscreen smell, but a screechy, fragranced sunscreen. Not for me.

Don't know if this didn't work for me because I didn't wear it on a hot summers day, but for me it just smelled like fizzy sweets, but in a headache inducing way. No sunblock or floral notes. Had to wash it off in the end and give my sample away.

watery sweet white florals, i mostly get orange blossom in the opening. the dry down is more bubblegummy, a bit soapy for some reason (?) and musky; does NOT smell like LDBS or Alien to me. the citrusy opening is more like lemon than orange. this can potentially be a nightmare if you have a hard time with white florals.

The pepper and immortelle notes ruin it for me . Just a citrus peppery scent . A definite no from me .

I purchased Ormaie 28 a few years ago. Recently tried a sample of Love Don’t be Shy by Killian and was shocked to realise the similarity and that they share several of the same notes. But Ormaie isn’t as sickly sweet and to me it’s a more grown up, “French” smelling perfume. I’d prefer this any time over Love. It is sweet and has a similar marshmallow-esque coziness but isn’t as sweet and cloying as love, it’s more refined. The orange blossom, jasmine and vanilla are all there but this also has tuberose. Best description of this is a solar scent- floral, citrus but also creamy, sweet and warm. It’s sophisticated and inoffensive I think would make a good perfume for any occasion or time of year, particularly summer but all year really, and could be worn in the office. The main reason I won’t buy Love and just use this is that this lasts a long time and projects whereas Love is gone in a flash. Literally £200 odd sprayed to nothing for me.

I don’t find this smells anything like LDBS. It’s by no means as sweet and thick. It’s a neroli orange blossom, much fresher (but not green like sintra, it’s neroli to my nose and not petigrain).. Sadly for me it’s not nearly at solar/nuxe-like as I had hoped it would be. I love anything solar/summery/beachy/european sunscreen/etc. Out of all these neroli/orange blossoms, for me it’s closest to O feminin by Micallef. It’s really lovely and I like it a lot (I prefer orange blossom done this way, not so teeth achingly sweet). That being said, its absolutely not worth its full price, no way. It’s not original enough and it’s too weak (no projection, no sillage, no longevity).

Initially it opens up ary-citrus which I really enjoyed, it seemed a bit unusual and full of expectations for intereting development...but soon it settled to orange blosssom and white flowers bouquet that sat in the sun for too long, that slightly stale-sweet aroma. Not necessarily unplessant, just nothing special . The tuberose has this almost "dusty" quality to it?! For some reason it reminds me of Metalliqie TF, but that one is more assertive, more "present" , while ○28 is just a bit faint in a way. It's nice and would probably make a decent day scent, I just didn't feel anything special about it.

Subtle, sunblock floral. I love the orange blossom and neroli facets because they are sweet, citrusy, and not screechy. More substantial white florals (I can sense the tuberose for sure) support the mid, with a mildly sweet-powdery drydown. This actually brings to mind Le Labo's exclusive Tubereuse--mostly because it has the eau de cologne vibe but with a more substantial tuberose heart. Lovely.

On paper, this smells like sherbet lemons - I absolutely love it. On skin I get huge, powdery orange blossom. It lasts for about 2 hours before it becomes soft, vanillary woods. I really wanted it to be the sherbet lemon perfume it is on paper. To me, it is indistinguishable from Kenzo Eau de La Vie. In fact I think EDLV is better because the powdery orange blossom lasts much longer.

At first this was a very green jasmine scent. By the mid, I smelled lemon pledge super clearly. In the drydown, I get a powdery, dry, sweet floral scent. I believe that is the immortelle. Super non-linear fragrance but ultimately not for me. I think my MIL would enjoy this as she likes these white floral fragrances that lean on the side of clean rather than strong and commanding.

Smells nice but nothing special, it’s been done many times before. To me it smells like a sunscreen version of love don’t be shy. I get the comparison to the nuxe oil, yes similar to that but definitely with the LDBS dna in there too. Borderline cloying but it only projects for a whole 5 minutes then it’s a skin scent that’s gone completely within 30 mins.

A medicinal candy with a flowery opening and sweet citrus. On my skin I get an interlude of sandalwood and fat, creamy rose and then it settles down again medicinal, vanilla, at times syrupy and honeyed with immortelle. I see it well worn on sunny, calm, warm and bright days. Ancient, medicinal and sweet flavour. It can be tiring. Try before you buy!

This is a beautiful floral. It opens up with bergamot on top of a trio of floral notes that distinguish themselves in turn, over and over. It’s orange blossom, then rose, then jasmine. Each comes to the forefront but still with the other two in sight behind. It’s very triangular. If you like Elie Saab you’ll very likely like this too.

Official description: a very solar note infused with white flowers and monoi. The scent of summer. This smells EXACTLY like Nuxe oil. A creamy and sweet sunscreen-vanilla. Hint of citrus in the mix. A gentle scent but good projection & lasting power. Definitely a top favorite for me 😍 I will be layering 28° with Nuxe oil this summer!

새콤한 시트러스에 크리미한 오렌지블라썸, 왜 킬리안 러브가 비슷한 향수로 꼽히는지는 알겠다만, 닮지는 않았고 6촌 지간 느낌 정도. 킬리안 러브에서 느껴지는 마시멜로 향은 느껴지지 않으며 오히려 머스키한 살냄새로 빠진다.

Sweet citrus w/ flowers in a vanilla base. Nice but quite similar to Kilian Love...doesn't break any new ground.
