I have only very few opportunities to smell fragrances that have caught my attention. So I usually buy them blindly from online stores. Look at my collection, 95% I bought blindly based on accords, ratings and reviews on this site, even the "expensive" ones. If I had looked at this one on this website, I would have definitely been interested in it by its accord pyramid. But if I had looked at its rating, currently 3.08, I would not have paid more attention to it. And that would have been a huge mistake. I was in a perfumery in Milan. I came, I said what type of fragrance I was looking for (according to the accord pyramid) and they started showing me what they thought I would appreciate. This was the only one when I said "woooow", this is it. If you are a man 40+ and you want to appear masculine, mysterious, impregnableat, yet pleasant the same time, this is a safe blind buy, do not take the rating 3.08 into consideration. I asked several friends in my age category and they all said that it is amazing. If I hadn't seen the rating, with my experience with perfumery I would have given this fragrance a rating of 4.4 + For me, it's one of the most frequently used fragrances. A real GEM. Go for it. You won't regret it...

In my opinion the best from the brand. It has all I want from a great oriental.

I was ready for another Ormaie disappointment (I've had too many to count...) but, from the initial, unusually loud burst of incense and spices, strangely not at all devotional or 'churchy' in character but rather uplifting, the perfume shows its chops, it comes out fighting. Just like with the other Ormaie fragrance I was impressed with, 28o, it has stamina and power to last the course too. It's on my skin 24 hours and a shower later, and, for a formula meant to be constituted entirely from natural ingredients, this is really quite a feat! I won't say it's particularly complex, or that it develops a 'journey'-like evolution, the incense I smelt the very first moment survives, alongside heavy-lifting doses of patchouli, woods and amber, till the dry-down, finishing not unlike the magical (albeit marmite to some...) sweet funk of Lutens's Chergui, minus the hay. Not one for the laundry fans but a very impactful statement, especially for a natural.

Musky amber, dirty with incense and cumin, sweet, greased with leather, scented with almond iris, jasmine, orange blossom, patchouli, sandalwood, cedar, vetiver and a discreet delicate oud. The result is a more dynamic fragrance than the other compositions of the house. Deeper and with fine and pleasant nuances. On my skin the sweetness is easily glazed by leaning more on woods and musk and somehow... it works. cute!

Amber cumin explosion..... Sweet animalic amber that is formed by amber, artemisia, orange blossoms, watered iris, and jasmines. This blend is intensively animalic with great sour and sweet dosage, and it resembles a desert cooling breeze. Beautiful. The only drawback is the price tag! 300+ Euro for 100 ml!

patchouli and leather. Smells like the Seattle public market spice shop in 1970 vintage hippie scent

i smelled this blindly and i got coffee (the same kind in Akro Awake) and creamy sandalwood with a touch of vanilla in the opening, and leather on the dry down. there's something about it that bothers me a lot, perhaps the sandalwood, it's just too dense. however, i get a pleasant powdery amber dry down that borderline resembles Angelique Encens. I kind of do recommend this one out of the entire line along with l'ivree bleue.

This must be the worst thing I have ever smelled. It gives the same feeling as someone scratching their nails on a chalkboard. It is screechy, dirty, moldy and loud. How on earth does someone enjoy this. I made the mistake of doing a test spray on the go - I will rush home to scrub this off.

Aggressive cumin / caraway bomb, fiery spicy! Possibly the most outstanding of Ormaie's current lineup, and probably a challenging wear in most situations.

IDK how but this smells like poop with black pepper on top. Disgusting.

This reminded me the aromas in a spice market. I could have sworn I feel cumin or cloves in the mix too but it's not on the pyramid. Very realistic cedar, complete with the balsams leaking from its bark. Slight leathery feel. Leans masculine. It doesn't remind me of anything else I smelled before so it is pretty unique to my nose, I could find a distant resemblance to ReNero Moresque because of that spicy aspect.

Superb oriental, citrus fruits and spices at the top, leather and incense in filigree. Creamy and woody base. Velvet.
