Gold Elixir

Huge shout out to Emanuela at Ormonde Jayne for getting this to me! Very nice of her to grab me (US Customer) a bottle and ship! The fragrance opens with a black currant and geranium bomb. Basically it’s a pretty pungent kick of sourness. Give it 10-30min, the pepper comes through with saffron giving it a spicy scent while still being sour from the black currant and geranium. The sourness subsides at about the hour mark- from here, it’s saffron spice with some creaminess from musks and jasmine. The rose isn’t very prominent; in fact I don’t get much at all which is good as I feel it would make the scent much more feminine. I consider this a masculine spicy scent, it literally lasts 12hrs for me. Projection is good, arms length for hours then closer but still easily picked up. Will get compliments, for now I’d say easy signature scent, aside from the sour opening there’s nothing to dislike about it. The sour opening I like by the way, I could see someone disliking it however. The final dry down is a saffron spicy cream. Very nice, patchouli is present but dominant. In fact no note dominates much like all of OJ fragrances- they all just simply coexist perfectly. Biggest problem, is that this house has too many Exclusives that are hard, if not impossible, to obtain for us US customers. I had to blind buy this via OJ England. I’d love to smell Montabaco Cuba or Cuir Imperial etc but doubt that will ever happen!

I’d loved to be sold a bottle of this lucky guy mark for his purchase on this sounds a better gem of one Jayne as well as montobaco Cuba would love to own these tried to purchase through selfridges but they don’t ship out of uk being in the us we are limited the Cuba smells awesome I acquired from a seller on eBay sample the Cuba is great!
