Levant

It reminds me of a combination of Cerruti Image which I wore in my grad school days meets Bvlgari pour femme which I smelled and wanted it so bad during my undergrad days. I always loved this type of orange blossom scents that had some amber and white florals but still was fresh and uplifting. It took me years to try to find something similar after finding out the closest equivalent to these two had been reformulated which Clinique Happy that was so plastique smelling. These two were discontinued except for cerruti which the only version I could find was the edt which was not the same. Describing it to several perfumers was a pain in the neck. Just recently this spring an old lady who was familiar with what I wanted and every time I would go to the store will try to be frank and say nothing yet and then a nudge to go there and found this while I was about to try another one. It was a pure joyful moment, I tried it and had to go back the very next day. I tried this on my skin this past spring and summer it was not offensive and overpowering very discreet . During that time I did not get any compliments. It was not until recently in the fall when I sprayed it by accident instead of grabbing Coco from Chanel which is my colder months fragrance. I thought this perfume, Levant, was more of a warmer weather scent which is but is definitely a perfume that be a signature scent and very work friendly. I really hope it keeps in low key quiet and those who know will know.

If you dont like this fragrance, I dont know what to tell you. It's a simple fragrance. It is a bit surprising from OJ. Nice long lasting tangelo and orange. Peony is very apparent to me, a touch of rose and I can pick up lily-on-the-valley". That's a light bouquet but it lasts and mix perfectly with the fruity opening. Then finally clean musk, invisible woods and a slight ambery touch. That amber will mix with the top notes that keeps on appearing even after hours, and with the flowers carefully chosen for a zen experience. It comes out as something so common, yet, it's perfect for what it does. It's uplifting and relaxing at the same time, also refreshing and warm. Don't expect a groundbreaking formula like Elixir (my fav fragrance), but Levant is in my rotation quite often, especially during the night. Maybe it is this warmth is has... It feels cozy but you could use it during the day and get stuff done with the confidence that you just smell good wearing a quality fragrance that has no synthethic roughness whatsoever and that is perfectly balanced. It's hard to dislike. and very easy to fall in love with. Projection is poor, sillage is moderate, longevity is awesome.

From the two very hyped up scents on YT, from La Route de Soie collection I have tested, Levant has proven to be the better one. I would describe it as a beautiful fresh white floral with strong, citrusy notes in the opening. Initial impression is a that it smells like a great blend of orange blossom, jasmine, lili-of-the-valley, peonies and rose mixed with sweet, juicy tangelo, mandarin oranges and bergamot. Very pretty, fresh and mood uplifting type of scent. But Levant transforms in the next hour to a more ambery, vanilla, woody white floral. As soon as it gets to the dry down, the substantial base notes: amber, cedar and musk add warmth, potency and some sort of resinous sweetness to the floral bouquet from the heart notes! I really like how Levant smells and if over-spraying on clothing, it left a nice scent bubble around me for about 2-3 hours. I’m going to sample a few more times just to make sure of its performance, because scent wise it’s beautiful for sure, before deciding whether I need a bottle or not for my collection. I might agree with the hype Levant gets if it has a decent lasting power. For a 50 ml bottle, this is quite pricey!

Levant is one of the most beautiful fragrances I have discovered in a long time. From the first spray, it feels effortlessly elegant, uplifting, and refined. The opening is bright and sparkling, with a beautiful citrus freshness that immediately feels luxurious rather than sharp. As it develops, the floral heart emerges in a way that is soft, feminine, and incredibly sophisticated. It manages to be both radiant and understated at the same time. What I appreciate most is how polished the composition feels. Nothing is overpowering or out of place. It has that rare quality of smelling expensive without trying too hard. The scent is versatile enough for everyday wear yet special enough to receive compliments whenever I wear it. The longevity is excellent on my skin, and the fragrance leaves a delicate, elegant trail throughout the day. Levant perfectly captures the quiet luxury that many brands aim for but few achieve. A truly beautiful fragrance and a wonderful example of why Ormonde Jayne remains one of the finest niche perfume houses.

I heard somewhere that time bends on itself, that it is layered and not as linear as we think it is. Which reminds me of what Luca Turin said about scent, and how scent is actually vibration. I don’t completely understand what these metaphysical things mean. Time folding in on itself and scent being vibration. But there’s something about that that reminds me of this perfume. I feel like I am both young and old and really old at the same time, like I am transitioning in and out of different decades of my life. I’m not sure if it’s the layered citrusy makeup of this perfume that does that for me or how it feels very much like you are sitting next to layers of freshly peeled rind in a very fragrant garden. But it’s the rind that comes in and out of your experience of aroma. But isn’t that what time is like? Like skin that you can peel on and off? Anyways, it is a very beautiful scent that sits very close to the skin in an intimate way.

I just found an old sample of this and after wearing it around I'm completely in love with this. On my skin Levant is the most gorgeous, flirtatious floral. It's tart, a little dark and an airy blend of rose, peony, lily of the valley, jasmine and orange blossom with wafts of citrus over musk and woody cedar. There's a slight dryness to it that is almost reminiscent to vintage fragrances. To my nose it has a very similar texture to Dyptique's Do Son with a different floral composition and its kind of what I was hoping L'Ombre Dans Leau would smell like. It doesn't have the same DNA that I've smelled in other Ormonde Jayne fragrances which I didn't personally enjoy too much, but Levant is incredibly beautiful. It's not the loudest fragrance or the longest lasting, but I can't wait to add a large bottle to my collection.

This smells soooo amazing!!!! I can't even describe the smell of it, it's soo unique, fresh, citrusy, and just a smell of a sunny, happy day in May when everything is great! I read in the comments that there are many similar parfumes, but I personally do not have access to anything mentioned (I was only able to get a sample of this while traveling) ... because I live in Canada... and here, we barely have anything! The only downside to this parfum, is that its lasting power is minimal. It gives me max 15-20 minutes on the skin, on clothes it stays longer, but the sillage becomes minimal (only if you put your nose to it). I would love to own a full bottle because it smells so amazing ... but the longevity is what's stopping me to pay that amount.

I'm not really a floral lover (except for tuberose), and I tend to go for more spicy sexy scents (think Gris Charnel) but something about Levant is SO satisfying. Perhaps the amber? It's like warm sugared flowers, encased in musky goodness. This lasts on me all day, which I also love - normally florals fade on me so fast. I have a very large perfume collection and rotate what I'm wearing frequently. But I'm finding that I'm reaching for this more and more. My youngest child hugged me yesterday and said "you smell so good! Wear this perfume more!" Then later, my husband complimented me on it. And there you have it, out of the mouths of babes, and a babe.

Solar, citrusy floral that is perfect for spring. I just want to drench myself in it as the days are warming up. i got a travel size but i think i'm gonna have to order the full bottle at some point bc i am going through the travel size QUICKLY. very fresh, not too sweet, and the musk and amber balance out a lot of notes that could make levant smell a little bit like a teenage body spray otherwise. projection is a bit more on the intimate side but i'm fine with that and the longevity is average but again it's not at all a dealbreaker because i really do love how this smells. i think would also be amazing for summer. Basically a sunny day in a bottle.

People are describing Levant as happiness in a bottle and I would agree. This perfume is what I imagine when I think of summer. Reminds me of driving with the windows down blasting Grouplove. This is such a fresh, citrusy, feminine, summery perfume. I also have Fleur Narcotique bc I love these types of scent profiles. Although they’re share the same scent profile I do notice some major differences. To me Levant is a fruity fresh floral, with the dominant notes being orange . Meanwhile, Fleur Narcotique is a true sweet fresh floral with very minimum fruity notes. Longevity and projection are moderate.

Just bought this fragrance, and TBH it wasn't love at first sniff, as it reminded me slightly of Baccarat Rouge, which I hate. As it sat on my skin, I started to notice the difference between the two, and I realized this was a gorgeous perfume. When you first apply it its fresh and juicy, but as it dries down you get elegant floral notes with a touch of muskiness. This fragrance is sophisticated, modern, fresh (but not too much) and feminine. Can be worn for any occasion as it is not beastly but not a skin scent either, as it softly radiates around you for others to enjoy!

• Excellent • Intoxicating yet versatile. Bright citrus lead singer with a background choir of smooth florals. • Perhaps my favorite modern, feminine-leaning fragrance. I normally only review vintage and masculine fragrances, but I love this and developed a nostalgia for it after first contact. • Non-exhausting scent profile; I would gift to someone who "isn't into perfume" just as easily as a connoisseur. Despite its femininity, there's no initial blast of alcoholic fruitcake, no stale-sugar dry-down, none of my usual pet peeves with feminine/sweet fragrances.

This one really took me on a journey. The first time I sprayed it, it instantly reminded me of Fleur Narcotique/Valaya but I found it screechy and headache inducing. I sold my bottle but I still had a small decant. I tested it again last week and suddenly I no longer found it screechy. It's quite beautiful. I get mostly citrus, peony, and musk and it really blooms in hot weather. I am definitely buying it again. Compared to Fleur Narcotique it's less shampoo-ey and compared to Valaya it's more floral. Definitely the best iteration of the DNA out of the 3.

Very hyped and very good. Another reviewer compared it to Tang, which makes me smile. It's got a nostalgic Tang-feel but stays classy regardless. The orange blossom and peony are pleasantly strong in the drydown after the sitrusy sugary opening, while the musk is a good stabilising influence. Sillage is strong and fairly long-lasting. The fragrances from Ormonde Jayne can feel alternatingly harsh or uncomplicated but rarely cheap. The sugariness is wrapped in that same semi-luxurious paper. Levant is among the best white floral musks out there, for real.

Blind bought this one via the youtuber, Jus de Rose. At first I was a bit put off as there was a strong chemical smell upon the initial sprays. However, after a few days, while I was in hot yoga, I smelled on myself the most delicate amber (with a good dose of vanilla and white flowers) 6 hours after the morning application. Now I'm growing to like this fragrance.... to me, it is very English. Prim. Proper. Flower, girlie in a straight-lace kinda way lol. But I 'm loving it, if only just for that amazingly warm, gently sweet, floral amber base. Mua! :)

A sparkling, radiant orange blossom centric fragrance that's perfect the Spring and Summer. Levant is so special and is my favorite from the house. If orange blossom/citrus floral frags are not your thing, I encourage you to try Levant. You just might be pleasantly surprised! But since those notes ARE my thing, it was a love a first sniff. I layer it sometimes with another one of my long lasting citrus/tea frags to improve longevity and it works. The sillage that it leaves will have people complimenting left and right. EDIT: Purchased a FB. I'm happy.

I bought this perfume based on a youtuber (jus de rose) recommendation and it’s one of the best perfume I’ve ever had. I’m a bit worried about one comment here saying that it smells like chanel chance which I already have but this beauty doesn’t smell like it at all, no chanel DNA that’s for sure. All notes are beautifully blended. Non offensive and an elegance in a bottle. I’ll definitely keep buying this, it’s my scent of the day and I’ve received tons of compliments on how good I smell like already. Definitely worth every penny. New love for me.

Levant is a beautiful bright and dainty citrusy floral that embodies the first early days of spring. I love to wear it when the weather just starts to warm up and the first rays of sunshine comes out after a long winter season. It is such a happy fragrance : the citrus opening is an immediate mood booster and it is beautifully blended with solar orange blossom and delicate peonies. The dry down is slightly woody and radiates a verry refined clean feel. I love to layer it with Cedrus from Chloé's Ateliers des Fleurs.

I got little bit disappointed because Levant 90 percent similar with FleurNarcotique, even when you smells it side to side its almost identical only Levant is stronger and little bit sweeter than FleurNarcotique, FN is lighter. Now I have both because almost all my niches are blind bought.Its not about the scent or the performance, but what's the point of having 2 identical perfumes.They both full bottle worthy ,the scent is feminine and beautiful but If you have one you don't need the other ones.

A pure, gentle, soft, and extremely luxurious fragrance. On my skin, it made me a little confused, thinking I might have bought a fake bottle because after an hour, I couldn't smell anything at all. But that wasn't the case; on my wife's skin, it lingered wonderfully. She sprayed it before dinner at 5 pm with me, and even sitting opposite me, the scent still wafted to my nose. And it lasted until 8 am the next morning—it was crazy! Every time I got close to her, I could still smell the musk.

How anyone can compare this to Baccarat Rouge is beyond me???? This is fresh and clean but not astringent. It has that nice musk in the background keeping the citrus in line. This is similar to Fleur Narcotique not Baccarat. This is a high end citrus scent and I love that it’s not a screechy one And nothing like a BbW scent. I usually dislike any florals but this one is so well blended. Wish I could afford a FB.

What a beauty this one is. Opens up with a burst of bergamot and then I get these beautiful florals , mainly orange blomsom on my skin. It’s quite warming w the amber. It’s so beautiful, I would totally chase anyone down if they were wearing this to ask what is it that they’re wearing. Classy and elegant, but not doing too much that can be worn as a signature scent or for work

This is a beautiful iteration of the scent profile which began with fleur Narcotique, and my personal favourite, Neroli Amara, both created by Quentin Bische. Levant does a great job, and I actually prefer it to FN. I find that the newer bottles seem to have much better performance than the older bottles, so much so that I now feel the performance is great!

Smooth, creamy citrus-floral daytime scent. The subtly lactonic mellowness of it reminds me of high-end body lotion. I usually steer clear of white florals, but they're at a lower volume here and tempered by the more staid musk note. Definitely feminine-leaning but could also be worn by either gender during a spring/cooler summer outing.

Smells identical to Fleur Narcotique Extrait however, Levant is less musky since it doesn't have that signature Ex Nihilo synthetic musk note. Some may appreciate that. I wouldn't want to own both Fleur Narcotique Extrait and Levant at the same time, but considering the cost of Fleur Ext- once I run out, I would just purchase Levant.

This scent is absolutely beautiful—an elegant blend of bitter citrus and fresh florals. It captures the essence of a feminine, clean-girl vibe. Reminiscent of Fleur Narcotique, but softer and more affordable. It's in the same scent category as Valaya but I don't find them to be very similar.

It’s the most zesty citrusy feminine fragrance I’ve ever smelt... great for a dusty sandy spring day in the Middle East or summer... I don’t get much peonies but sooo much jasmine!!! Very green and happy with a slight sweetness which helps pull this thing back to the feminine direction

A fresh, citrus, light floral and ultra feminine scent. I would not reach for this as an evening scent but it's perfect for everyday wear. On me it lasts 6 to 8 hours and sits close to the skin. The projection is minimal but that's what makes it so easy to wear.

Such a feminine scent that opens peachy and dries down floral musk, it’s soft but not passive. Leaves a scent bubble even 3-4 hours later on the skin. Reminds me of holiday resort at somewhere tropical, such an underrated scent.

I love Levant! I think this will be my signature for now. I also like to layer it sometimes with Dedcool xtra milk. I can't wait to wear Levant in the summer. I can SLIGHTLY compare Levant to Valaya, however Levant wins for me.

The smoother, better blended option VS valaya and fleur narcotique. The musk is not chemical smelling. The cirtruses are bright. The peony shines through for me. I only wish it had Valaya's performance, but it is still decent.

If you love Fleur Narcotique but think the performance sucks, get Levant! I always struggled a little with that mossy note in FN, and I thought it was too expensive for the weak performance so I'm overjoyed to have found this.

I just layered this with PDM’s Cassilli and this layering duo is gorgeous. I already get some kind of orange marmalade floral with Levant , and just goes well with Cassilli’s lightly tart, powdery peach . Love love love !

Such a beautiful feminine scent! If you like Fleur Narcotique, you’ll like this...somewhat identical...this one has more of a juicy mouth watering opening while fleur narcotique is more soft. I love both!

I absolutely love this. I wish it lasted longer. There’s something sweet about it, but not candy sweet. The floral is strong, and mature, but not old. I feel like anyone over 20 could get away with it.

This is just a simple love for me.. I have cirkeled around it for month and finally bought it. So delicat, so feminin and elegant, soft and special.. I adore this fragrance

Oh my gosh , I love this so much. It's energising, sparkly, sweet but not overly. This may be my favourite floral perfume alongside Gozo and Solaris.

In my opinion one of the best orange blossom, jasmine and amber fragrance. So beautifully crafted. It gets me so many compliments. 100/10

To me it smells like peach green tea

Very citrus...reminds me STRONGLY of Stella by Tocca. It has those orange notes, which is why I love this. It has that same personality as Stella. The biggest difference is the price. Ormande Jayne is so much more expensive. As far as performance goes, it's ok..this one might be SLIGHTLY better than Stella. But, only slightly so. As far as Fleur Narcotique goes, that perfume is much more peachy than orange...on me, it smells nothing alike. Especially the drydown. Peach, peach ugh ..I HATE peach in a perfume. Fleur Narcotique has VERY little orange in it, whereas THIS perfume is saturated in orange- and that never leaves. It's pretty linear from start to finish. So, if orange is your thing, this is for you. If you like Stella, you'll love this. I love Stella. I love this. Just do not love the price.

The Levant is an Arabic land called (Bilad Alsham) located in the Middle East consisting of Lebanon, Palestine, Syria and Jordan. I love this perfume because it is coupled with the Levant, whose beauty cannot be described by a perfume. Levant opens with an optimistic burst of citrus pulp that momentarily hints towards cologne-style compositions, but quickly gives way to a bouquet of sweet, airy florals - I mainly pick up orange blossom and a sweet, smooth lactonic touch of osmanthus. A slightly herbal, tea-like green note emerges in the heart, adding a bit of astrigency to balance out the sweetness of the florals, and clean musks wrap up the composition. Overall, while it's not something eye-opening or mind-blowing, it's a well-done fragrance that does its job well; it's something that you could spray on anytime, anywhere, and is bound to make you feel good.

This is such a fresh and pretty floral for spring and summer. I smell the tea note that others have mentioned, and less so the orange notes. It took me a while to realize what the florals reminded me of - it’s Jo Malone Peony and Suede. The peony scent really comes forward to my nose. This fragrance also has a similar, watery and light quality that JM colognes do. But I do find it long lasting. It is a still very noticeable on my cotton t-shirt many hours after I spritzed the tiniest amount. If you don’t have many florals, and want one that is fresh and easy to wear, this would be a great choice.

Reminds me of fleur narcotique, only better! I tried fleur narcotique as a sample a few times, and while I liked some aspects of it a lot, I found it had this cloying headache inducing quality to it I couldn't get behind. Not the case here! Its like they took the best parts of fleur narcotique and discarded the bad parts. This is so satisfying to smell, it's hard to explain. I don't generally like florals but love this. Just so well balanced and airy. It also lasts and lasts. I find it lasts even after a shower. I love Jayne Ormonde, and this one is a new favourite.

I had a feeling this would be the case: Levant is a very good fragrance, truly exceptional in quality, but it really does sit in the Valaya–Fleur Narcotique territory. I would choose this one because the quality is similar, yet the scent is not exactly the same, and the price is better as well. But if someone already owns a fragrance in this style, I do not think it makes sense to keep piling up the same scent profile. Edit: It is not as long lasting as Valaya, so maybe Valaya is in fact worth the price after all.

fresh, citrus-florals-musk combo and super feminine fragrance! there’s something that almost makes it feel aquatic or watery when first sprayed. i imagine a very elegant woman going to a shower or a brunch with her old friends wearing this on a Sunday afternoon in spring! its so pretty! not sure if i'm sold by the price point though, i will have to see overall longevity and quality to determine if it’s worth it. definitely grab a sample if you like more watery florals and citrus

To me this smells similar to Fleur Narcotique, which I own. And smells identical to VCA Neroli Amara which I also own. If you got one of those, you don’t need this. Otherwise this is a very nice, subtle floral number. Longevity is about 2-3 hours on my skin, very small scent bubble though for other people to smell you. Not bad, but not great either. I was expecting more from Ormonde Jayne as I love a few from their lineup. Simple, quiet, overpriced for what it is in my opinion.

Levant smells like a white floral field that has been sprayed with a powdery orange substance so now the flowers smell fluffy, citrusy, and really fresh. This is the fresh out of the shower scent that would be a staple for those who don't have a ton of "clean and fresh" perfumes. I mainly wear clean, fresh, and musky perfumes so I wouldn't buy a full size for the high price tag since I have options, but wouldn't mind it as a gift! Performance is decent if you overspray.

Such an elegant, grown-up blend. The soft florals from jasmine and peony are so pretty, but are nicely grounded by gentle musk and amber. There is a pleasant hint of citrus in the background for a bit of sparkle. This is very much a muted but lovely feminine fragrance for spring, but also good for any time of the year. If you like florals and adhere to the quiet luxury aesthetic, this would be a nice fragrance to keep in rotation.

At first, I noticed its extreme similarity with fleur narcotique (FN). Both fresh, floral, watery, spring-to-summer scent, and both have the same distinguishable peony scent. After trying it for a few days, I observed that Levant seemed more citrusy on my skin than FN. As it dries, Levant becomes a bit "floral lotion" on me and FN becomes a little warmer. In my honest opinion, if you have one, you don't need to get the other.
