Ta'if Elixir

all elixir perfumes seem to be like stronger concentration then the original with addition of gorgeous creamy oud (animalic, barnyard smell), but very sophisticated oud, not that you will smell animalic, it just makes the whole composition darker, just how dark grey colour of bottles imply, its darker in nature and more perfume concentration, Taif here smells creamy, but all the rest is the same, its night version of Taif, i looove it as much as i like Taif....the oud part fades quickly in an hour or 2 it is more simmilar to the original but more creamy

This is up there with Nawab of Oudh as my favourite from Jayne. It is a truly beautiful scent, blended almost to perfection. Furthermore, it smells better as it progresses through the notes in dry down. I’m unsure as to why it is called Taif though, the city of my father-in-law. I don’t detect Taif rose, which is such a distinctive note. Perhaps its sharpness has been subdued in this blend. Likewise the oud is very subtle, but a touch. Nevertheless, this is an exceptionally well-done perfume. I can’t wait to compare it to the original. 9.5/10

A very nice sweet yet airy rose (mildly lemony as you expect from a taif), that at first feels deceptively very faint but gets stronger and stronger as it dries. Ultimately I feel that the florals in this make it mainly a feminine fragrance so is not for me overall but the saffron and dates almost pull it back to unisex.

Too similar to OJ Taif. Nothing new except oud. Smell more dates and oud. Taif rose not use very well. I prefer to use original Ta'if.

This is not for me. On my skin, this smells like fig preserves over bleu cheese.

I personally met with Linda Pilkington and we talked about her Elixir line. Actually Ta'if Elixir is exactly the same concentration with the addition of 1% Cambodian Oud. They have an intensive version of Ta'if which I have not tried. The three Elixir that have a concentration of 42% are Isfarkand, Osmanthus and Royal Elixir. Both Ormonde Elixir and Ta'if Elixir are the same concentration with the addition of Oud. Hope that helps understand this wonderful Elixir line from Ormonde Jayne.

Just got my sample... Thank goodness just a sample. Hated this, love the original. This one is a different animal altogether. Heavy on the dates and oud like the reviewer said below. No rose to me. Whenever I like some perfume, it never lasts long enough for me but when it's unappealing, it lasts forever.

Taif Elixir by OJ I adore this - just the perfect amount of powerful oud mixed with dates, saffron and pepper and precious taif rose. Its such a demanding fragrance. It demands to be smelled, to turn a head, and last but not least; demands its wearer to feel powerful and in charge.

Huh. I’m anosmic to this. All I get is a smell like bandaging gauze, and a bit of papery wood. For the first couple of minutes I also get some faint, neutral sweetness. But that’s it. Absolutely nothing like the notes listed above.

Is this the same as T’aif intensivo. Because that’s the one i have and now I see this elixir. Are they the same?

This perfume and black gold are the absolute best from this house + nwab oud period

nothing like original .. hate original and i love this !!

This smells like a rose flanker of MFK Amyris Femme.
