Neroli

For clarity purposes I have to mention that the fragrance is actually called Zagara and not Neroli. It's the only neroli/orange blossom fragrance that Ortigia still currently produces and is distinguishable for the strong honey note. It opens distincly green and aromatic. More citrus peel and leaf than pulp or blossom. That's what I initially fell in love with, but was only pleasantly surprised by the development. As it dries down it becomes much softer, less green and woody. I definitely get the honeyed character. But I would also say that even though the opening is unisex it dries down to a more of a feminine fragrance because of the sweetness. It's one of the most beautiful orange blossom fragrances I have ever put my nose to. The sillage is nuclear, even though I didn't realize it myself. It lasts a long time on skin and even longer on clothes. In my opinion it's a good option for a signature scent, being suitable for pretty much any occasion. The more I wore it the more I felt that the drydown of Zagara has a strong similarity to Fleurs D'Oranger by Serge Lutens, despite the green opening in the former and the cumin note some people pick up on in the latter. The departure between their drydowns is not that significant and I personally chose Zagara over Fleurs D'Oranger.

LOVE LOVE LOVE. So i was gifted this scent as a roller ball oil and couldnt figure out which on their line it was for the longest time as it wasnt labeled on the bottle but I was wearing it constantly. I finally figured out it was this one because the HONEY notes are exquisite. Genuinley it has made all my other scents pail in comparison and caused me to be a more picky perfume wearer because its that good. It is so, so juicy it makes my mouth water and the bitter orange blossom adds a very lovely fresh quality. I truly havent ever smelled a perfume like this ever before- it is sweet but not gourmand, juicy, spicy, rich, ambery, fresh, warm, all at the same time with such simplicity. Good for day, night, work, drinks. Its next on my list to buy the 100ml and I think itll got lots of use year round.

I own this in a 10ml perfume oil roll-on. It really is as simple and beautiful as the notes suggest and that honey is sweet. The orange blossom note is less intense (less 4711) than in Zagara even if the two fragrances smell identical in the bottle.

This is so rich and delicious with enough bitter to keep my interest all day. LOVE! And not expensive.

This perfume is called Neroli, there are other variants of the name orange blossom, and Zagara, I own Neroli, characterized by a strong smell of bitter orange blossom, petitgrain, therefore the bitter part such as leaves and branches of the orange blossom, there is honey that sweetens slightly, it reminds me a lot of Neroli by Profumum Roma, in the most bitter part of the consistency.
