I picked this up, along with Ambra Nera, at the Ortigia shop in Siracusa when I was visiting last November. (The fragrance has been renamed Zagara, which means "orange blossom.") Not surprisingly, it does have similarities with Lorenzo Villoresi's other orange blossom fragrance, Dilmun, but Zagara is a little more assertive, slightly less refined and a little less sweet. It's quite transporting, truly evocative of the flowers of Sicily, which is just what I need on this cold, gray, New York day. I love it.

I'm posting this for the fragrance currently called "Zagara" in an oil perfume formulation. It smells like a Mediterranean garden on a hot day after the rain. This is the most beautiful, realistic orange blossom/neroli/petitgrain scent. The quality is superb. It has the freshness and the sweetness of the entire plant, it's rich and weightless like a fragrant humid air, you can almost hear the birds chirping in the branches. Beautiful.

Zagara reminds me of Caron’s Narcisse Noir the cologne version of the ‘70’s, not the more recent iterations. It’s a remarkable orange blossom, but with a church-y incense note in the base. When you first wear this you might find the way it weaves in and out quite bewildering. You think you can’t smell it, but then a minute later, there it is coiling itself around you. I love it.

Zagara is stunningly beautiful and straightforward. The balance between the neroli and the sandalwood base exudes quality. A total winner for spring and summer.

This is the best Orange Blossom (Zagara) perfume ever. Actually this is my favourite perfume in my entire collection. Brings me back to Sicily.

I can't smell any orange blossom however I can smell incense and wood notes. Not an unpleasant smell but definitely not fruity or orangey in the slightest.

I smell mostly orange blossom, but the neroli and sandalwood balance it out. It is a beautiful fragrance and good to wear in the springtime and on hot summer days.
