Bergamask

How do you define being synthetic? Does it mean the fragrance is above 50% concentration made of synthetic materials? Newsflash, most are. Are you competent enough to call it synthetic then? Does it mean it 'smells synthetic'? But first of all, what does that mean? You can use naturals to make a leather, or a tire rubber or even gasoline accord - does it make it synthetic? Tonka bean absolute is over 80% (maybe even 90, not sure now) coumarin - if you add straight up coumarin to the alcohol and it smells of tonka beans - is that synthetic or not? How do you distinguish what's simplistic or not if you don't know how much effort and different substances are in a perfume? Bergamask is not simplistic, it's very complex - it's not the perfumer's fault that you can't tell how much effort and constituents is in this bottle and the fact that he makes it sound like it is is a simple marketing strategy, not exactly chemical and/or olfactive truth. While Australian sandalwood has some milky, laconic, creamy aspects here the javanol and other stuff mixed come out somehow oily - this does smell not creamy, but oily in a way. There's a lot of white musks but luckily this doesn't smell like laundry. It's full of yellow citrus which, combined with both floral, and citrus creamy orange blossom makes a great composition. Somehow, while it's not really sweet, this perfume has some honeyed aspects, too. There's also a lot of a classic lavender here and the classic part is very important in my opinion because... 1.1k fragrances I tested and I still consider Gualtieri a marketing, and creative genius. He made lots of you believe that this is unwearable and animalic while in reality this is an old school Italian, masculine perfume - it's just of nuclear power. It has some a lot of chypre and fougere aspects to it, lots of citrus and sandalwood, packed with lavender, florals, some herbal notes... There's also tonka here because there's coumarin in the INCI. Marketing aside, this is a 20th century, retro masculine citrus chypre based on tons of musk and sandalwood and therefore (while in my opinion still being unisex) traditionally this leans masculine. There's no animals here (in the shit/pee kind of way, only creamy clean musk). Imagine something a fresh groomed Italian grandpa would wear while he was in his 30s - now amp the performance up to the max because two sprays? Fills every room or hall, leaves a trail for 15mins after you pass and won't come of your neck after a shower or your t-shirt for a week including multiple washing. Believe me, I've done this - I've washed it, put it in the drawer, not all my T-shirts smell of Bergamask for a week.

Honestly, this is good juice, 10/10 for compliments alone, I was followed today and she smiled as she went past me but I can't blame her, it is really beautiful. I also went into the local curry shop for takeaways and the owner came in a few minutes after me and he said he knew I was there again, he smelled the magic down the road he said. It projects well but it is not loud or egotistical or sharp. Sillage is just perfect 10/10 Longevity is perfect from shower to shower 10/10 Smell is personally magnificent for such a simple composition, 9/10. Price is great for real art. 10/10 Innovative / creative packaging 9/10 - - But here's the most interesting part that just makes The Nose so great... When I bought the orto, I had decided on Brutus and Stercus but I took the Bergamask instead. When I got home I unboxed the bottle and I sprayed my arm, it was beautiful... then I noticed a nasty smell and it was my fingers, really nasty like an old dirty dish-cloth smell, so I washed my hands in the kitchen with dishwashing soap. A few minutes later I noticed my fingers were stinking again, I wondered if I had not washed them properly, so I washed them again. I sat down again puzzled about what was making my fingers smell and I picked up the bottle... and then I realised that there was a small smudge of clear oil on the underside of the bottle, I had my friend smell my fingers and he was disgusted! Yet I still couldn't explain the existence of the foul smell. A week later I bought the Boccanera and the same thing happened again. In each case I had to wipe the bottles carefully. At first I thought perhaps the juice leaked but the juice is beautiful. I thought it may be a mistake in production but no, the drop of foul oil was carefully placed in the 'dimple' at the bottom of the bottle such that it never even touched the cardboard box. I did read later that the juice was originally exhibited/displayed on a plinth of dry manure. I believe this foul smell is a 'gift' from the artist, I am grateful as we are all thoroughly entertained by this and plus the juice is heavenly. Did anyone else notice the foul fingers after handling a new bottle? Overall - 10/10 Bravo!!!

Molecule 04 is pure Javanol, with around 2% of Javanol in the bottle. The rest is alcohol and solvents. It's rated as "eternal" and "room-filling" by people. Javanol is one of the strongest aromachemicals that exists in perfumery, and undoubtably the strongest one that smells pleasant on its own. It's a totally synthetic molecule that doesn't exist in nature. Custom-made to replace endangered sandalwood in perfumery. According to Scent & Chemistry on Facebook, this fragrance's formula is 36% Javanol. Because this is an Extrait concentration, the amount of Javanol in the final liquid is insane and mind-boggling. Around 12%. Six times more than in "eternal" Molecule 04. It's been expertly complimented and covered by other strong superambers, so that the final blend doesn't smell like pure Javanol. Geza Schön said that he had to greatly lower the amount of Javanol in Molecule 04 "so your house wouldn't explode". Orto Parisi said screw it and made this bomb. And no, this doesn't smell like bergamot throughout. You only get an opening hit of citrus, before the scent quickly settles into an eternal musky sandalwood base. The opening truly does smell like citrus essential oil. Which is remarkable for something that lasts at least 24 hours on skin. I don't pick up any mosquito repellant in this no matter how hard I try. Or anything unpleasant. I'm actually really enjoying this, because I'm not getting a headache and the scent is very balanced. Super synthetic strong fragrances always seem to be safe for my migraines. But I'd beware wearing this to work, as some people can find this the opposite of safe and pleasant. The room-filling projection this has will subject everyone to your scent.

This perfume opens with a sharp, almost piercing bergamot note backed up by lemon. As it settles, you start to get the floral aspects. All the flowers are blended well, but lavender stands out slightly more than the rest in the middle notes. Here’s where the problem starts for the mass appealing crowd : THE MUSK. Orto Parisi musks lean heavily animalic. Honestly, I dislike the label “ultra niche”. It’s a niche house, yes, but one that focuses on artistic expression rather than mass appeal. Alessandro Gualtieri, the creator behind both Nasomatto and Orto Parisi, treats his perfumes as art, not as people pleasing tools. So if you’re someone who lives off mass appealing fragrances and then complains this isn’t for you, you’re just contradicting yourself. Art is subjective, sure, but expecting artistic scents to be liked by everyone defeats the entire purpose. If you want something easy and universally liked, stick to safer designer options instead of forcing yourself into something your mind and nose clearly isn’t ready for. To me this Perfume is an artistic version of classic notes. That said, I do understand why people dislike Javanol not everyone can handle it, but that’s a separate and valid issue. (Javanol smells like sandalwood here) So in short : The opening hits you with a blast of bergamot, supported by lemon, with a touch of lavender and some floral nuances in the background (they are well blended so it's hard to detect them individually at least for me). As it starts to settle, a strong musky note emerges, accompanied by Javanol, which gives off a sandalwood like scent.

Batch 01245. Never have I been so disappointed by performance of a perfume. At this point, I think the house and their PR team is doing everything to stop recalls from dealers and end buyers. I have never seen such polarizing behavior in the comments section from users. This batch keeps getting compliments from people saying “wait 2 months”. NONSENSE, this does not help it, if the performance is shit, it will stay shit. Maybe it would mix better, but this is ultimately a problem of watered down shit being sold under old social perception. I hope the house gets the poor PR like we’re getting poor products. I simply can not believe that a perfume used to project and last so long can become completely untraceable and this to be an issue of immature product. Well if the product needs to sit, why would you even push that to market? That’s the fault of the producer. If I wanted to buy wine, I would go and buy wine, but I bought perfume which I expect to perform and not to drink it too. This house is getting a forever long disrespect from me, everybody I see getting close to this brand in a store will get a long story on how horrible the customer service is along with the performance, quality and longevity of their perfumes. Oh and I will add that they are publishing fake reviews all over the internet to make people second guess their own senses “Javanol... this is why you can’t smell it”. Once again, NONSENSE.

I think it’s a shame that people seem to view this scent is just “Bergamot and Musk” just because of the name (which has nothing to do with Bergamot or Musk, it’s the name of a dance performed in Bergamo, Italy), and because of the lack of accurate notes on here. I feel it does this scent a disservice. We know Mr Gualtieri actually doesn’t release notes, but based off ‘Science and Chemistry’-s thorough chemical breakdown of the composition of this scent, I would put forth the following more accurate notes: Top - Bergamot, Mandarin Mid - Sandalwood, Amber Base - Sandalwood, Musk, Cedar, Oud (The Sandalwood coming from the overdose of synthetic Sandalwood molecules [primarily but not exclusively Javanol], the Cedar from the ISO E Super and the Amber/Oud facets from the Ambrocenide.) Ironically, musks only make up a very small percent of the actual formula (around 4.5% apparently, compared to whopping 36% Javanol), so it’s a shame that because of a lack of accurate notes and a misunderstood name, 90% of reviews seem to mention just “musk” when referring to everything apart from the Bergamot... Personally, I think this is well worth a sniff. Yes it is INCREDIBLY STRONG, but to my nose it wasn’t as challenging as some people had made out, and I was surprised how long the Citrus notes hung around for. I think if you spray (very) lightly this stuff would be great for the warmer months. 🙌🏻

Update: After owning this for nearly a year now, I can say its a great perfume, wonderfully crafted. Its a citrus + lavender opening with a HUGE dose of musk that is slightly animalic; the fresh notes from the opening keep resurfacing through the first 4-5 hours of wear. The problem I have with this is that it's too damn strong, even with 1-2 sprays its just overwhelming and my clothes reek of it even after washing. Its just too strong for me and almost nauseating in hot weather, I tend to wear it more in the transitional seasons and maybe cooler summer nights. I can swear that people are either overspraying it, or are just naturally nose blind to claim that "it doesn't last after the reformulation!!". Is it one-dimensional? - Yes, somewhat; notes have depth, but its a simplistic musky fragrance. Is it long-lasting and projecting? - YES. People's reaction? - I've gotten lots of positive feedback on it, people don't seem to register it as offensive or "sweaty". Is it unisex? - I would say so. It leans masculine, but it can definitely be pulled off by women. Suitable weather? - The whole year (without hot summer days); the musk is smooth, slightly animalic and somewhat warm - starts animalic but it becomes cleaner throughout the wear. Is it worth it? - If you like musk and simplistic fragrances with strong performance - you'd love this! Batch: 01245

I originally got a sample of this around 4 months ago and discovered it was incredibly strong. I sprayed it onto clothes which went through multiple washes and the scent survived. So of course I bought an entire bottle, it was batch 01245. I sprayed it, it was very different to the sample I enjoyed so much. It didn't develop, it didn't last long at all, I thought I had wasted my money. I left it for 2 months, just came back to it and it has completely changed. It lasts for days on fabrics and all day on skin 24 hours +. I wore it for an event, I sprayed it onto my suit, my suit has been professionally cleaned and hung up for 3 weeks inside a suit bag, everytime I walk into the wardrobe, I can still smell this fragrance. I couldn't be happier with the performance of Bergamask. I do find the scent borderline feminine, but I received many compliments while wearing this fragrance, which is unusual for me, I'm not somebody who receives multiple compliments in an evening about my choice in fragrance, but this, I received 3 compliments in the same evening. Good value for money, £200 for 50ml but you only need 2 sprays to last the entire day.

So, about that infamous 01245 batch. After the initial spray - yes, it does not perform like other batches that i tested some time ago. Didn't get a single comment on the scent but decided to put it aside after i sprayed about 5 ml. of it. After about 2-3 mouths, maybe more, went to try it again. So applied 3 sprays on the neck area around launch time, went to the gym, out and about, and the scent after the second hour disapperd to me and went sh*t here we go again, maybe it's time to say goodbye to it. About six hours later went to the store and got to the checkout and as i was passing near a lady, she made a face and commented on if i poured an entire bottle of fragrance on myself, she didn't like the scent but i smiled because it was all i needed to hear. It does need some maceration... yes the comments about it being weak are true but are maybe based on initial sprays after opening it... needs some mouths after a few ml. of spraying and you will end up with the monster almost everyone says that this scent is... Don't be afraid of the these digits "01245", just stay patient and give it time!

Let's get this out of the way: yes, it's as strong as everyone says it is. Now, what does it smell like? Orto Parisi doesn't disclose the notes in their fragrances, but I will say that this is one of those times where Fragrantica got it mainly right. Like many have probably said before me, it starts off with a sharp and piercing acidic citrus, like you expressed the essential oils out of the rind, kind of acidic. I pick up on something in the middle softening the citrus, which could be orange blossom. I smell more of a neroli. Underneath is a huge musky and sandalwood base. If you are wondering what makes this a nuclear bomb, it's the Javanol, a sandalwood aroma chemical that is POTENT. This will last a minimum of 12 hours on skin, even if you have the most absorbent skin known to mankind. If this gets on your clothes, they will have a sandalwood smell to them for days on end. That being said, I think it's a great fragrance, just please be careful with your sprays. One to two sprays is enough. This ranks #7 in my ranking of the whole line

People who are getting weak performance this is for you. I received my bottle, batch code 08256, and was worried that it was a notorious ghost batch. I sprayed it on my arm and got some intense bergamot for 30 minutes and then... nothing. It disappeared like a whisper in the wind, I was furious. I decided to put it away and try later. I waited a week, took a fresh shower and threw on 3 sprays- and wow it was strong. I don't think it's a maceration issue. The first time I used it I was already wearing 2-3 frags from earlier in the day so I think my nose was not prepared for the Javanol bomb I unleashed on my arm. After a fresh shower with nothing else on it really allowed me to experience Bergamask in all its glory. I'm telling you it lasted >24 hours. It's a very simple frag, sparkling bergamot with a drydown of intense musk/sandalwood. The trail it leaves behind though is very beautiful and I received a ton of positive feedback the day I wore it. Give it a chance if you have a 'weak' batch. Might just be an anosmia issue.

Recently got this shortly after Megamare and wore it to work in careful moderation, i have never been complimented on a scent as much as this one. At first I was thinking how fresh it is, The Lavender in it really comes through in first 5 minutes, and then slowly fades away to a sandalwood scent that is very pleasant and projects really well and will not fade away. the batch i have is 01245 and i have read below about issues with performance, i went into a shop 12 hours after applying this and the guy behind the til said you smell very good, so although it may not be overly strong to me its enough for others to keep getting it. still very potent no issues whatsoever. its no Megamare but its still a strong, long lasting projecting scent. Really enjoying Orto Parisi. I would say if you tried this in a store from the opening you probably wouldn't buy it as its loud, and very sharp but after 30 mins has gone you will find yourself keep smelling it and wanting it more. VERY GOOD

It's quite a simple fragrance to my nose. Lots of bergamot, lots of musk and a woody note (cedar ?) that will eventually show up clearly much later. Some people put Bergamask in the freshie category but despite the strong bergamot and a slight sweetness that will linger during the first few hours, this fragrance smells quite dry with a sour/acidic touch. Nothing juicy about the citrus here. The irony is that I tend to (dumb) reach for Bergamask more during hot spring and summer days before I even consider the many great freshies in my collection. For me Bergamask just fits warm weather effortlessly. And it lasts a looong time on skin with no real need to re-apply ever unless you're missing the slight sweetness of the opening or think everyone around you still hasn't noticed your presence yet. All in all I can't really pinpoint what is it I find so pleasant and addictive in this fragrance. It smells pretty basic after all. It smells pretty unique too. Good job Mr. Gualtieri.

I think this is genuinely one of the most abhorrent scents I have had the displeasure of smelling. The open is so lovely, for about 10 minutes, then you’re hit with the most appalling smell of piss. it smells like you’ve just walked into a dirty bathroom with air freshener trying to mask the smell of human waste thats been stagnating for months. I dont know if thats the intended effect, but it is not worth the money nor the headache you have to experience when having this fragrance on. Edit: Upon trying the sample i had got with a recent purchase. I was pleasantly surprised by the aroma which was hitting my nose. it didnt smell like piss, it was calm and relaxed, it dried down to this pleasant musty smell which i couldnt help but keep smelling. i bought one. batch #01245, its not bad lasts over 8 hours and inital spray projects amazing, still smellable arm distance, when i sweat it came out a bit more. would recommend definitely

blind buy first impressions 9/10 presentation, box opens up in a cool way and overall aesthetics of both bottle and box is very pleasant, bottle looks nice and very utilitarian, only issues i can think of is the cap is made of metal and has/leaves a metallic smell, not click nor magnetic and the wood inside the cap in mine appears to be a bit misaligned (?) not a huge deal tho. opening starts off with a MASSIVE blast of citrus, mostly bergamot and it in a way feels sweaty. the musk is also very prominent, making up the other half of the scent. however despite all this it's not heavy nor oppressive at all imo, the citrus isn't too sour nor extremely sharp like how other people might have made it seem and honestly it feels light and airy in a way. i did get a bottle from batch 01245 and maybe that has something to do with it, who knows. personally i only used one spray for now but planning on trying 2, maybe 3 sprays later on.

Begins with sharp citruses and STRONG camphorous lavender. Like straight up the same as raw lavender essential oil. Then, an hour later the lavender and bergamot/lemon are pretty much gone and a dirty musk (signature Gaultiery musk) comes up. The interesting part is that two-three hours after spraying, the perfume starts smelling the same as in the opening (sharp citruses and lavender), which really surprised me. This "second opening" lasted around 30-40 minutes, then the musk came up again and stayed close to the skin for the rest of the day. Overall, it really doesn't give sweat on me, but its definitely a funkier dirty/animalic musk. Sharp, bitter and powdery in texture. As far my sense of smell goes, the citruses aren't really prevalent, its mainly a complex musk accord with lavender and citruses in the background. Great for spring, summer and autumn days. really citrusy but not like normal citrus fragrances, usually its sweet, smells like grapefruit juice as a example mass appealing to %95 people but there is bergamot peel type of smell its acidic, sour, little bit sweet but really acidic for me. 1.30 2 hour after spraying its still smelling acidic bergamot peel but little bit toned down and musk,orange blossom like smell I think its really good but brutus way more easy then this one drydown very musky and I dont think its sweat type of musk its clean fresh musk good quality but I think I go noseblind because I spray it like 2 hours ago rn I cant smell it. Probably I cant smell musk bc no way this is 2 hours only I dont know the batch its decant I was wrong I still get it after 13 hours and can smell it with out getting close its gonna give you feel like its not smell but its very musky you cant smell when you are so close to it.

recently purchased. it is strong, super strong but i do not find the opening off putting. Actually i quite like the opening. it is pretty refreshing yet realistic. today is my first full wearing, so this is a very initial first impression. i m wearing 8 sprays, i think it is pretty alot for this fragrance but for a first time wearing, I had to make sure i wear enough sprays so i can adjust next time. after an hour, the sillage it gives is very much sandalwoody. a very realistic sandalwood oil type of vibe. i think people can definitely notice you when wearing this fragrance and also the sandalwoody type of note which I am getting is a little different from others, now 1 1/2 hours down, i am getting the smell like how we get with a pencil sharpener so far i m giving it a 8.5/10. will write a full review after a few wears perhaps

Bergamota + almíscar, é o propósito do perfume muito bem elaborado aqui. O típico almíscar da marca, que tem a característica de ser mais animalico, realmente aparece aqui mas não da forma exagerada como falam. O que acho interessante na marca é isso, eles conseguem trazer o que prometem muito bem e muito equilibrado! Equilíbrio que se dá pelo limão e o floral que acompanham a bergamota. Gostei bastante desse cítrico, não diria que é tão agradavel pelo fato de muita gente não ver dessa forma, como meu irmão que disse que tem cheiro de suor kkkkkk. Fixação como os outros da marca é muito boa!. +12h em mim. Não recomendo dar blind, principalmente pelas notas que são numa maneira geral todas agradáveis, mas na Orto Parisi nao!! De fim gostei muito desse e estou gostando muito de provar os perfumes dessa casa.

Wow! Great fragrance, very mass appealing with a slight musk scent, the musk I can notice, which in a way smells sweaty at the beginning, but isn’t too bad and is for like 30 minutes which is very minimal compared to the longevity. The bergamot is very strong and is a unique take on citrus, very realistic and sharp. The fragrance is awesome! Longevity and siliage is through the roof! Longevity: 10/10(20 hours) Siliage: 9/10(4-5 feet for 15 hours) Scent: 9.5/10 (amazing citrus) Btw for the others owning it, I have batch #01245 and longevity and siliage is amazing, soooooo... I don’t know y’all, for people saying “it doesn’t last an hour!!! 🤓🤓👆”

Bergamask opens like a slap of sun-soaked citrus sharp, acidic, almost electric. But then it softens. It melts. And suddenly, you’re not just wearing perfume you’re on vacation in Italy, lost in the blur of a summer festival. The air is thick with music, skin, laughter. People dance too close. Sweat clings like a second skin, and it’s all... pleasant. Intimate. If you crave the sparkle of citrus with the pulse of something animalic beneath something hot-skin real but never offensive (even in hot temperatures) and you want it to last, to haunt... this one’s yours. (I'd say this is also fine in cool temperatures)

Very interesting fragrance! The longevity was unquestionable, was on my clothes for at least a week, but on skin it settled nicely and didn't have a huge sillage. The opening is everything as described, sharp photorealistic citrus, almost as if you've just peeled an orange right in front of your face or have a slice of lemon cake on a plate straight out the oven, but the dry down is where it goes slightly gender neutral in my opinion and you get the musky tonka vibes. Really nicely balanced, for me it was a winner, but I am not rushing to buy a full bottle, instead I might go for a larger decant.

Much weaker than expected. Becomes a skin scent quickly. I will let it macerate for a bit. Also, it isn’t as hard to wear as people make it out to be. The ”stinky sweat” is very light if even there at all. A bit underwhelming because I expected this to be much stronger. But I’ve heard that newer batches are weaker for some reason. Atleast it’s easier to wear in that department aswell. Love the smell for the time I’m able to pick up on it. Don’t blind buy. But it isn’t as scary as you might expect! It is basically a lemon, organge blossom frangrance. Just a bit shaper than what you would think.

Living up to its name, it indeed is a musky bergamot. It has a warm, soft and round quality to it, significantly less harsh than some of the other bergamot-leading perfumes I've come across. Decently lasting for 7+ hours at the very least, enough projection at an arm's length without being overbearing. Further upon the drydown the quieter notes make a more definite appearance, including lavender. The impression it gives to me at an earlier point is a lot like a kind of lemon throat candy, no menthol. But like, dirtier in a way. Believeably unisex, fantastic for spring and summer wear.

update: My mom returned from the store and entered the house complaining about perfume. For reference, my room is on the second floor of the house, and the main entrance is down one and a half flight of stairs. I sprayed once. I guess they weren't lying about the projection of this being nuclear cuz holy shit that is insane if ONE spray filled the ENTIRE house. I think people saying that this has performance issues is just going anosmic to the javanol or maybe issues with their skin chemistry. I've heard that this performs especially well in heat so here's hoping in the coming months,

I have had 4 bottles of this over the years (my spring and summer signature). I like to come see reviews of bottles I own to see how others experience them. My current bottle happens to be from the "weak " batch... People, people, people. You must realize, how easy it is to go nose blind to Javanol! And especially at such high doses (several folds higher than molecule 04) I did the test last week. 2 sprays on a throw pillow of my sofa. I can still detect it now when I'm near it. Without trying to smell it. Bergamask is as nuclear as ever.

Bergamask is an aggressive, careless fragrance. It can bothers you, but in a provocative way. Every time I wear it, something interesting happens, and I’ve noticed a pattern among the people who hated it while I was wearing it: they’re always the anxious types, people who love to complain, almost verbose to the point of logorrhea. It’s a fragrance that, precisely because it’s invasive, can be triggering. To me, it’s a bold scent, for those who aren’t afraid of feeling big, a fragrance that screams silently.

Honey-brown hair steeped in sun. A boat with faux wooden paneling, peeling off near the rails. Aperol spritzes in hand, a sticky spot of peach bellini lounging on the floor, forgotten. Hint of a pre-roll that you cannot rub off your fingertips. Sweat on skin. A summer fling, memories baked into linen shirts. Intention and manipulation, crooked teeth and a watch tan line. Sweet words burnt into your head like glare clawing through your sunglasses. Bergamot on him, musk on clothes. Lavender, on your skin.

This is one of the longest lasting freshi in the market ,two spray and done,people who are with immature nose and follow tik tok blindly this is not for you ,because some people only appreciate more if one of dumb influencer says ohh its so nice ,this one is amazing ,but never trust their own nose,beautiful bright little bit sharp opening which last one minute and then musk all the way to end ,if you want something where you want fragrance for outdoor sports thus is the best one in my opinion 10/10

This will be my signature scent for life, even if it gets discontinued in the future and I can't use it anymore. Since it's a niche and everybody got their own opinions, think whatever, the facts state that this shi is a beast of a fragrance, regardless of the price. This is the only fragrance that makes me think I might be actually addicted to it - and as a need, not a want. The notes are stated with more than 90%+ accuracy so it differs from person to person and if they get it or not. ID

Buyer beware: do NOT buy batch # 01245 unless longevity is of zero concern. It smells like Bergamask but barely lasts an hour. $10 Zum Mist body spray from Whole Foods lasts longer than this shit. If you search this batch on Reddit you'll find multiple users with the same complaint. Hopefully this is a one-off dud; Orto Parisi and Nasomatto remain my favorite houses. At this price point, however, performance is completely unacceptable. I can't help but feel ripped off.

God I love this scent, great for spring or summer. Opens up with a strong citrus smell, reminds me of peeling a ripe, overly sweet mandarin or clementine orange - not lemon. This is followed by a powdery and spicy bergamot smell. It's a divine whirlwind of citrus, bergamot and spicy. Lasts whole day on my skin, although it settles down a bit after the first two-three hours after which its only noticeable if you are standing close to somebody.

I have the batch code 01245 as well and I can confidently say that this DOES NOT underperform at all. It's incredibly nuclear and doesn't come off of your skin. The problem is the javanol. A lot of people are anosmic to it, hence why they think this doesn't perform, but in reality it very much does and a lot of people will smell you from far away even hours after spraying it. Just please go easy on the sprays, maximum 2 is enough.

I have the 08256 batch, I was worried but this thing is a nuclear bomb on your nose. Extremely strong, you only need 2 sprays, 3 max. A bottle will last you for ages. This is that type of fragrance which doesn't smell as good upclose from skin but very beautiful and intoxicating in the air. You can smell the raw craftmanship, the animalic aspects and the quality. Javanol through the roof. It's a masterpiece but not for everyone.

Any negative feedback or review on this stems from an inexperienced nose or a person that is used to smelling ross adidas cologne. This is a master piece, signature scent worthy, safe for everything just go light on the trigger. Its like a niche version of tierre dhermes a nice woody musky orange fragrance, it blends wonderfully with my skin chemistry, lasts and projects even under the clothes. An amazing value for the money.

Utter disappointment. I love this perfume so much and I, unfortunately, got the 01245 batch, it just does not perform as well as whatever stood in the store when I tried it. Its mainly the citrus and bergamot that you will feel here, and there is no development. Upon spraying the lavander is super strong, love it. But I am just so fucking disappointed by this purchase since the shop does not accept returns. FML.

This perfume, like almost every creation by AG, has a strong trigeminal effect when I first smell it. My brain quickly filters this out, but it's worth remembering that others around you may still perceive it like that if they have fleeting contact with you. Aside from this point, it smells wonderful, though the first hour is a bit strong. The drydown is truly incredible, just don't overspray.

If a fragrance can be a monster and a citrusy one, it has to be Bergamask 👑 A compliment magnet that fills the room and announces your arrival. Raw, sharp bergamot fused with animalic musk creates a wild yet addictive scent profile. You do not just get hours - you get days. No matter how hot or humid, this cuts through. I wear it on the back of the neck and ears. 3 sprays are more than enough.

For me, it's the easiest to wear after Brutus. It's not even close to the classic bergamot. For me, it gives off that warm feeling you get when you get out of a hot shower and, while you're getting dressed, you think, 'Am I sweating or is it the heat of the shower?' Very sensual because it smells like clean human sweat with a hint of metallic, warm bergamot. 10/10

Amazing, amazing, amazing, amazing perfumery. Citrus masculinity potion in a bottle. I get great compliments every time I wear it. Using it as my daily driver, its a Maestro even in 40-45 C and super humid conditions. It’s a room filler for sure- sillage, projection, and longevity - all perfect. It’s likeable - doesn’t choke, so good option for close settings.

Photorealistic over ripe bergamot opening that I personally love as a citrus fan that mellows down slowly giving room to floral notes ending after a few hours into a musky, creamy, floral, clean and animalic dry down that sticks around for a quite long time! Amazing silage and longevity. Very unique scent profile. Not a safe blind by!

As usual, Gaultieri shows his genius and creativity. This is a great fragrance but for some reason I only get about 2 hours using several sprays and then it’s only a very weak skin scent. I heard there was another batch with low performance but mine is 08256 purchased from Fragrancenet. Love the scent, hate the weak performance.

Undoubtedly one of the strongest fragrances in my collection. This stuff makes me smell like a billionaire with a b! It starts off aggressive but the dry-down is incredible. Gives me “old money” vibes on a hot summer day. You will definitely turn heads with this stuff! **Disclaimer: don’t spray more than 3x**

Davvero un ottimo profumo con questa nota di bergamotto abbastanza particolare oserei dire.. Sulla mia pelle sembra che il profumo abbia due sfaccettature diverse perché mi appare abbastanza pungente al inizio. Ma come il profumo si "stabilizza" si sente queste note più fiorite e fresche al mio naso

The best Orto Parisi. Such an addictive sour citrus with some woods in the base. Easily 16+hrs with crazy sillage. It is pretty linear and simple compared to other fragrances from the brand, but that doesnt take anything away from the fact that it is really good. Highly recommend.

Way way more complex and nuanced than I expected. What surprised me is the amount of woods in the base, it's as much as the musk to me. Think of it as Bergamot Blamage with musk. Unfortunately it's too sharp and relentless to my nose and synthetic too.

So I went on the rants, and now I take it back, it is strong, yet still not what is used to be. They certainly increased the amount of javanol in the newer batches, I see many people sensing the perfume, but not for long. Nice but won’t buy again.

This is the most beautiful bergamot I have smelled. It is incredibly strong yet refined, very good for warm weather, with amazing development of notes despite very hot weather. In cold interiors this remains a very nice warm citrus.

Summer signature scent. Playful, youthful and lustful once you set your mind to it. It's just so lively I actually can't comprehend it. The fact that it lasts on your skin 'til your next life doesn't bother me at all.
