Oryx Iris

This is not only my favorite iris perfume, it is my favorite of all time, a total game-changer. It has this perfect balance of iris bitterness and violet freshness that makes it smell like a whole bouquet of roses, even though it's only got two flowers in it. The Kyara Incense tones down the sweetness of the violet and gives it a fresh, watery vibe with a very little oud/wood hint. I'd say it's like a masculine rose perfume or a dark, mysterious scent for women. It is simple perfume but complicated at the same time, definitely underrated. Edit : I wish it has more performance

Beautiful interpretation of an iris-centered fragrance with a middle-eastern twist. Oryx Iris is fairly linear on me, meaning all notes are present almost immediately after applying. That doesn’t make the fragrance less interesting or less complex. The opening has a slight sparkle of citrus (Bergamot is mentioned on the Al Jazeera website), a very present iris and a touch of oud. The oud is not very present, it‘s just there to add depth and body. Once the brief opening subsides, the most prominent notes are iris and violet leaf. The way Ilias Ermenidis blended these two notes is truly stunning. Iris and violet leaf mingle and support each other. The resulting smell is powdery, crisp, slightly green, slightly metallic. Very elegant and carefully judged. Oryx Iris never feels heavy, or weighed down by it‘s seemingly powerful base notes. The fragrance stays crisp and clean, supported by it’s very slightly sweetened resinous base. Do give it a try!

There is no oud scent. Iris and violet dominate here, with weak performance.
