Alibi Eau Sensuelle

This is so cosy, sweet, enticing and absolutely intoxicating. Something about it just completely captures me. I love to wear it to bed and sometimes with Mix:Bar Whipped Almond. I actually haven't worn it out and about that often yet as I've been on a testing frenzy. But when I come back to this I'm just...ahhhhhhhh. Its longevity is quite good but not amazing which is something I'm always after in a perfume, maybe a few hours? Will come back and adjust if necessary.. I’m curious about its projection to others as well but I’m just loving this for me right now, the notes all combine to be just stunning. I'm sure they are contributing but I'm not really getting the florals, I mainly get the amber (not resinous here), and the softest, gently airy sandalwood, musk.. and fluffy vanilla (albeit it’s not listed in the notes). I did note that it reminds me of SJP Stash but it only does right at the driest of the drydown of Stash as Stash is quite stark and heavy on me initially but the reminiscence of it is there. I prefer alibi eau sensuelle a million times over. So much so that I initially bought the 30 ml from Chemist Warehouse (in Australia), then two weeks later went back and got the 100ml. Very reasonably priced also. Update 13 Mar 24 - Have been wearing in the office and can smell it lightly around me for about five and half hours. Layered today with Lattafa Khamrah and Nasheet.. I'm not sure if others can smell it unless they get very close, but I'm very happy in my heavenly soft little scent bubble :)

Wow, I am just blown away by this one. I am not sure how original this scent is, if there is anything that smells like this I would love to know what they are!! Was trying to fill in the gap in my collection for something soft feminine and elegant and I am loving this. Smells like something a well dress polished lady would wear. I am getting sweet vanilla powdery sandalwood .... will come back with an update after I am worn it more but so far very impressed. Update : OK yup, I feel like gate keeping this one. I don't know if this is a new fragrance but in my area this has been selling as discounted prices. I hope that doesn't cheapen it, and I hope its here to stay and that they make a stronger version of this. This is my new favourite...perfect amount of everything for me. Not too strong but strong enough, people pleasing but unique, soft, sweet, elegant, lady like but not too young or old. Simple but smells well blended, upscale and sexy

This may be my favorite scent from the Alibi line! I was visiting Macy's perfume counter and the new bottle caught my attention. I like the previous releases from the Alibi line but it wasn't love so I didn't have high expectations for this flanker. How does it smell? It's a beautifully blended pick for autumn day or night - subtly sweet, cozy scent that reminds me of soft suede. A little nostalgic. Emanates confidence, yet softness and sensuality. I must admit I didn't like what I've smelled for the first 5 minutes after spraying the paper strip. Frankly, I can't remember how it smelled but it doesn't matter. I came home with the strip and smelled it again the next day. What a difference! It transformed into a beautiful scent. Beautifully blended - I can't distinguish individual notes. Possibly a good everyday autumn scent. I would get a travel spray if it was available.

Such a lovely cinnamon amber scent! I really don't notice those citrus top notes at all, it feels deeply warm spicy to all the way through, the top being more powdery and dry down being more smooth and sweet, with a hint of vanilla. It's not terribly strong, so I feel like I need a bit of a heavy hand to get it to project, but I can smell it on my skin for at least half the day without reapplication. I will say, at first I thought the previous commenter must be exaggerating about the packaging but it really is weird and confusing. The bottle is cute but it's really easy to pull the whole top off when removing that plastic tab. I just chucked the plastic bit and pushed the top back on with no issues. Love this fragrance though and will almost certainly be getting more!

Wow. Tom Ford Noir Femme. I love you but I can't buy you anymore unless I am an oil baron. But THANKFULLY this gem is here and I can spray myself liberally and enjoy the "same' scent. This perfume is sexy. Sweet. And wonderfully softly spiced. I enjoy it immensely. A scent for colder days but wear it when you like. Perfume has no rules. Just prersonal peferences. You do you Boo. I love this one as it is warm, spicy and has a sexy vibe that doesn't try too hard. The price point is great for the quality and if you are missing your TF. Get this for a similar vibe. Just lovely. Sillage is decent and in my opinion, totally worth your $$$

An unexpected love. I get a nice sweet orange at the top and a very strong tea scent. It's kind of bitter, which I can see being unappealing to some, but I think it makes it smell timeless and unique. When that dies down after about an hour, it fades into a very vanillic, buttery, and nutty smell. It reminds me of taro milk tea. Lots of pretty (non-dominating) florals, skin, musk, and sweetness. The longevity is great btw and don't let the "eau sensuelle" fool you, I think the projection is quite generous. A super underrated and subtly beautiful scent in an oversaturated world of underdelivering vanillas.

I have had this in my collection for almost a year and the juice has become almost a purple pink in colour even though I kept it in its box. Has anyone else noticed theirs go like that? Anyway, now that the weather is getting cooler I have decided to pull this out, this is a lovely fragrance kinda creamy sandalwood and cosy for autumn days. I have never smelt Noir pour femme but I have Gaultier 2 and it is very similar to my nose. I am now very interested in getting the original Alibi 😀

A spicy sexy amber scent wafts up from my wrist where it was sprayed. Slightly floral powdery fruity and I pick up a smoky incense. For me this is an original scent, so I cannot compare it to the Tom Ford Noir Femme, but I will try to get my nose on some soon. I'm really enjoying this, even if the top/atomizer is weird. Don't rush when opening the packaging. The sprayer is part of the cap. I'm really enjoying this fragrance. I feel like I should be cuddled up someplace cozy.

Starting to really love this. I think it's these cloudy, colder spring days in LA. The fruity note in the opening persists through out. The mandarin, white tea blossom plus sandalwood is giving me mango shake vibes. Like I'm drinking a fresh, milky mango shake on a tropical island. The EDP credits aquatic notes and I smell it here too. Does not project too much but it does say eau sensuelle. I keep smelling my arm though and it makes me feel good.

Wow, this is becoming a quick favorite! It’s all I’ve wanted to wear despite having many options. It is somewhat similar to a few in my collection, but something about this one stands out. For the record, my skin responds favorably to Oscar de la Renta perfumes. While others find they disappear quickly, I always get 6-8 (sometimes more) hours longevity. I guess their base is perfect for my skin chemistry.

Perfume: The story of a murderer. . . This is the fragrance that everyone was smelling in the end scene. She is an Angel. She is innocent. She reminds me of Victoria’s Secret Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine minus the jasmine. Easily became a favorite. I wish the bottle just had a cap. Can’t stand the design for the sprayer and find it annoying like the full size Prada candy bottles but more annoying.

Hello you hidden Gem of 2023!!! Its Reeaallyy nice to meet you, gosh what a pleasant suprise! For all of you who miss Noir Pour Femme, this affordable gem definitely reminds me of it

The cinnamon and amber really shows up on my skin. I tried this morning and it's now 8pm and the smell still there. Great sillage and projection.

Upon first spritz I immediately smell the mandarin, but it’s got a very perfumey smell to it that I don’t love. Within a few minutes I can smell the tea. After it dries down, this is where I really really like this perfume. It’s soft, but not unnoticeable. The florals kind of blend together to give an overall floral component to the amber and skin musk base, which makes this feel warm. It has a slight sweetness to it, it’s not a spicy perfume at all. Longevity is moderate. My advice for this perfume: if you don’t like the opening, wait through it, the star of the show is after the dry down! I very much like this and would consider a full bottle. Perfect for fall.

A soft sweet spiced perfume, doesnt last very long but its cute.Wasnt my fav so I passed it on to my sister but she loves it since she cant really handle strong beast mode perfumes. If your sensitive to strong smells this will work well for you since its subtle and still very nice.

I know that the notes are not in alignment, but this is Angel by Mugler all day! I’m stunned that it’s not a ‘reminds me of’ fragrance already.

Gives me Youth Dew and Angels' Share vibes

Although I can see this one's appeal to many, sadly, it is not for me. I was hoping to get a hefty dose of sandalwood - and I did get a very woody note, even from the beginning - but combined with the amber it really was way too much of a spicy coca-cola vibe for me. I also did not get any of the floral notes in the mid, which was a disappointment too. I agree with the poster who referenced Youth Dew. There's definitely an allusion to that here.

Soft spicy vanilla. This is just okay to me. I think the Amber may be making me smell the soft spice. This is interesting. It comes across as lady like and womanly, mature. I’ll let it sit for a month to decide if I will be giving this away.

Guys, Im kinda confused. I bought the 1 oz bottle of this today at Ross. Got it home, opened it and saw some directions on the flaps. I discovered that inside, the lid was sitting atop a piece of plastic, which further inspection of those flap *directions* shows, is meant to lock or unlock the atomizer/lid. So, do we keep this plastic piece? It cant be used with the plastic piece in place. So it sort of seems like the plastic piece is used in case I take this while traveling? I dont plan on taking this while I travel, so am I safe to toss it or will I regret that? What is everyone else doing with that clear plastic "collar" it came with? Anybody who knows, please feel free to direct message me. Thank you! And to keep this in the "review" vein, heres my initial opinion. I will come update when Ive had time with this frag to do a fair review. I snatched this up bc it was $17 for the 1 oz, which I thought was pretty dang cheap considering the 100 mL is $100+. I saw one of the other reviewers say this reminded her of my all time favorite Signature Scent, Givenchy Organza Indecence. My old love is super expensive and out of my ability to procure now, so I HAD to give this a shot. Unfortunately, Im not really enjoying it *so far*. I dont know if it needs time to macerate, or its not meshing with my personal chemistry, or maybe its clashing with what I had sprayed hours before and couldn't smell. But there is a LOT of powder and something VERY sharp at the top, in a loud way. It makes my eyes sting and water. And Im not enjoying the scent at this point. I do not smell anything similar in the slightest, to my love, Organza Indecence. THAT was extremely disappointing for me to discover but I havent given up on this yet. I think the bottle is very nice. Its solid, heavy for its size. Im not wild about this plastic collar "lock" thing, or the atomizer doubling as the lid. It feels like the first place thats gonna fail on me, so we'll see. After Id had the single (NUCLEAR) spray on me for almost 3 hours, I admit I do start to smell a coca cola-esque note coming through, but its shy and hiding behind this eye watering sharp and powdery business that is just SCREAMING. I am a life long coca cola fan and looked for a long time to find some good, strong, long lasting frags with prominent coke notes. I ended up with Emir Cherry Cola, which is like an herbaceous cola note that I do enjoy. Im wondering (and definitely going to test) what would happen if I layered one spray of Eau Sensuelle with the Emir Cherry Cola.... Im hoping for a positive outcome! Hang tight for my update :)

Just came here to say that for those of us missing Tom Ford Noir Femme, this is an excellent sub - only to find that it's being voted for above! Very true. This is spicier, an element of coca cola spices rather than deeply vanillic in that way, also less woody, but the character type is pretty spot on as a good alt given how pricey and hard to come by the Noir femme has become. I had an early formula of the Tom Ford and it was knocked onto the floor by the wire of a lamp. The bottle broke clean from the atomiser and my precious Noir Femme ended up all over my jute rug. What little I did salvage EVAPORATED from the bottle. I should have decanted it but to be honest I was just in shock and so upset for such a long time over it, I couldn't think straight. I managed to get 100ml of the Noir Femme a bit later on but the formula is not the same as the one I loved and lost. It also doesn't last the same, the old formula was so amazing, lasting and beautiful.... Alibi sensuelle lasts well, has a gorgeous bottle and packaging, but it's near impossible to spray normally. I've got to hold it in a really awkward way to spray it. My hands are small. I wanted alibi initially just based on the packaging alone. That font on the front, the full shabang, so nineties, it's gorgeous. But then I found a great bargain for the sensuelle version and purchased that instead - no regrets. It looks great, smells fab. This is sort of in-between the original Tom Ford femme Noir and the reform of it, it reminds me more of the reform but the lasting power is more impressive than that, closer to the original. I always saw a link between Tom Ford Femme Noir and the Tom Ford version of YOUTH DEW. Alibi Sensuelle, in lacking the depth and darkness of Noir Femme, is kinda like their mutual bub. Lovely. 👌👌

Soon after spritzing Alibi Eau Sensuelle to my skin, it was instantly familiar. In my early twenties I owned a cherished bottle of vintage Givenchy's Organza Indecence, the holy grail of cinnamon-amber fragrances. Alibi Eau Sensuelle is not a perfect carbon copy, but it is relatively close to this long discontinued gem. Just a few small spritzes can project quite strongly on warm skin, and my partner immediately noted that I was wearing something unique when I entered the room he was in. He responded favourably to it, and remarked that it could easily be unisex. Alibi Eau Sensuelle is a rather delectable, warm amber fragrance with a hint of cinnamon, sandalwood, rose, and orchid. It is indeed quite sensual, and has a slightly powdery aroma on warm skin. Cooler weather suits this fragrance best, (as I have sampled this fragrance in the heat of summer and in the cool of autumn). The Oscar de la Renta line has continued to expand in recent years, and several of their scents appear to be geared towards the younger consumers and young professional women. Alibi Eau Sensuelle stands out amongst their clean, crisp floral fragrances. What I like most about the Alibi line is that each flanker smells different and unique, and is vastly different from the original.

Citrus, osmanthus, and sandalwood forward. I have the OG Alibi and I prefer it over this. In fact I love that one! However, I feel this flanker mostly stays linear, except for the short lived opening that did, like another member mentioned, briefly too remind me of VS Cashmere Vanilla Jasmine (discontinued) which I happen to own. After that whiff of nostalgia, I got a little bit of osmanthus, but it continued to remain mostly sandalwood. The other florals are not major players here for me personally. I can see where they were going with the skin scent note. To be honest, I think it’s truly the osmanthus that helps to create that nuance. And if you love the combined notes of citrus, osmanthus, and sandalwood you will most likely love this! As for me, I’m not sure exactly what I was looking for with Eau Sensualle. I suppose I just wanted a sexier version of the OG but sadly, this isn’t it. Because of that, I will just stick to the OG...

On my skin (warm, olive, combination skin in a tropical climate) this is sweet spiced woods and powder which is absolutely fine with me. Sandalwood is the constant here. The white tea and citrus are a brief flash that barely registers on first spray, but pops out a little more on reapplication which you'll need to do around the 3-4 hour mark. The floral notes are dried rather than fresh, which must be where the powdery trail comes from. Its a warm scent which might make you think it's an autumn/winter fragrance. But on a hot humid day, it has a surpisingly dry, satiny and lovely smell, like sunwarmed timber rubbed with precious oils. Great value and very easy to wear. She might not be the fragrance that gets people chasing you down the street, but she's wholesome, timeless, and harmonious any environment.

Delicious woody scent - it is, however, strictly a skin scent. It's very office appropriate, very low key- inoffensive, super weak projection and longevity. It's such a comfortable little fragrance to wear before bed or when doing the laundry or running errands, having your nails done etc. I like it a lot for the 1 hour it lasts on me, but not sure I would repurchase. I think it's a pretty safe blind buy - I just feel a little misled by the "eau sensuelle" because I expected something more ... well... sensual/intense. But it's very nice, like sandalwood incense, which I adore. I wish they would make a super intense elixir version of this, then I would certainly buy it again.

This is an interesting fragrance. At first it smells strongly of alcohol, but very quickly softens and vanilla comes through. But not only vanilla, in the end I smell amber and musk. No reminds original and edt version on my skin. A pleasent scent. Sensuelle, as it is. But I don't think it competes with, for example, Burberry's Goddess fragrance. If you don't like amber, you should test before buy it. Just my opinion. Update 05.09. I really like this. The amber is not so prominant anymore. Makes me feel sexy. Will buy another bottle.

A beautiful spicy fragrance. There is a load of cinnamon and sandalwood in it. If you like Organza and angel share, you will love this fragrance.
