Blue Orchid

I blind bought this as a gift for a friend who loves citrus fragrances and ocean scents. Blue Orchid is a combination of these two types. I was shocked to find I loved Blue Orchid so much that I bought one for myself, too. On my skin, it opens with a strong juicy blast of sweet mandarin orange and cranberry juice. It's so delicious I could drink it ! Then a blast of salt mixed with jasmine and driftwood arrives, floating like a cloud, then settling into a watery lotus scent. As it dries down, soft sandalwood blends in with a gentle touch of light white musk. I can still smell mandarin orange and cranberry from start to finish. This very feminine, pleasing, refreshingly uplifting mixture is great for all ages and all seasons, day or night. Blue Orchid lasts on my skin easily 8 hours, and lasts forever on fabric. Non offensive, this scent is perfect for office wear, since it wears closer to skin after the first hour. What a wonderful find ! My friend and I both absolutely love Blue Orchid !

I initially bought it because of the bottle and my favorite color is blue. It was a blind buy and there were very few reviews for this specific flanker. Fortunately, I made the best decision of purchasing this before it sold out in FragranceX! I smelt sea salt and lotus in Blue Orchid. I couldn't pinpoint what I really liked about this fragrance until I experienced customizing perfume at a store and sniffed different notes. I found out that I love the smell of sea salt and it was ironically sweet but not sickly. Longevity is not at its best but it's expected since it's meant to be light. It makes a great office and casual scent. Biggest con is that this is discontinued. I have already consumed a third of it so when I run out, I can't repurchase it. So, I'll make the most of it.

I blind bought this and I gotta pat myself on the back because it was another blind buy success! This is a beautiful, light and fresh/airy scent. It’s watery (in a good way) and delicately sparkles. This is how I see it in my mind’s eye. This is such a perfect scent for spring and summer days! I think it’s a great office scent too. Not heavy or heady at all. I think it’s the lotus I’m picking up through the dry down that really blends well with the rest of the base notes. It’s dainty and feminine. Not my usual go-to when I pick a scent for the day but it will have its place because I really do love it!

I love this fragrance, just like I love Ming Shu Fleur Rare by Yves Rocher - the same DNA. Today I sprayed just once on my hair, went outside and it's been 8 hours since and I still smell it. Transparent Floral Aquatic. Tender, yet voluptuous. I love spraying it on my sheets just before bedtime, and when in bed imagining myself on the water and smelling this sweet crystal and wonderful scent of fragrant water lilies. When I wake up in the morning I smell this fragrance. Lilies are my favourite flowers.

This review is to ScorpionX's review. Why not Orchid??? Have you smelled many orchids? There's MANY fragrant orchids: some smell pleasant, other very unpleasant. Some orchids produce a scent only at night or after dark. Blue Orchid it is! I use it as a bedsheet/clothing/hair spray year around and it lasts for days, when you spray it on your body only in summer and it does not last over an hour. I get more enjoyment from this fragrance than you.
