Extraordinary Pétale

I love wearing this - it's a clean, citrus scent. I am not a huge citrus fan, so when I find one I like, I keep it. I found this one cheap, so it's a win-win. However, the bottle and scent quality do not feel cheap. I have 500+ bottles, and this is one of the most attractive bottles, so well made, a hefty cap, body of the glass, etc. So it's very well done. I oddly enough like to wear this in cold weather, like 10 - 30 degrees kind of cold. I love a cold, crisp citrus, and I think this works in that temp due to the champagne and the vanilla. In the summer, this wears off kind of quickly, but it still smells clean and crisp. So if you're a "summer spring" only person for this, give it a shot in the cold if you get super cold weather - it will surprise you!

Bought on clearance. Lovely. Had alot citrus in the opening, pretty pink floral. I really enjoyed this . Very feminine springtime floral. Pretty good lasting power. Good price. Safe blind buy if you are floral lover Alot of champagne and bergamot at the opening, with orange blossom and jasmine in the background. Cheerful perfume. Safe buy for citrus floral lovers of perfume. Regret giving it away.

A gorgeous bottle and colour, and a very pretty, sweet floral/citrus perfume. Lovely.

Extraordinary Pétale smells more expensive and interesting than the namesake it's a flanker of. Granted, neither are exactly avant-garde in their composition and are just very agreeable and commercial designer fragrances, but Extraordinary is a poor man's Flowerbomb/La Vie Est Belle with more rose and Pétale is a poor man's No 5 L'Eau. The aldehydes in here are incredibly rich and dazzlingly sparkling, and while this is a linear fragrance that hardly lasts just like the original, at least it has base notes and depth to it, the amber and musks are a lot richer and more present than the anemic and top-heavy citrus rose of Extraordinary. This is not listed in the notes, but this is actually quite grassy and green too, the citruses here are really unisex and tart. This is not a sweet fragrance, regardless of the Barbie pink color of the bottle. Extraordinary is the safe and cheap blind buy for the Coco Mademoiselle type girl and Extraordinary Pétale is the safe and cheap blind buy for the No 5 or No 19 type girl. Neither are doing something particularly, well, extraordinary, but they're perfectly agreeable and easy to like for the budget price.

This was a blind buy. I was sold on it when I read the notes. It seems the trend for the season is rose so I took a chance. As luck would have it, I absolutely love the smell. It has a longevity somewhere between 2 and 4 hours. The sillage is somewhat moderate. As I worked at my desk, I could get a whiff of it after 4 hours. It made me want to reapply. I will get an atomizer to refresh the perfume on the go. I am very pleased with my purchase. My nose isn't train to separate notes, but I smell rose, jasmine, musk, and it seems a little airy (must be the champagne). Very reasonably priced.

Light dewy floral. Perfect for spring or summer. It’s fresh and linear. It remains fresh and soft. The jasmine is airy in this one, usually that note is very heavy but not here. It’s a really lovely light fragrance. I’m not a floral fan but this one is really pretty. Nice heavy glass bottle with a good stopper, pretty colour. Looks nice on the perfume tray on the dresser.

Is a nice flowery rosy smell. It is fresh and the base notes are quite amberish with a a mix of jasmin and musky smell. Not so strong but instead is lighter. It is indeed better than the first one.

This is a whimsical precious dewy floral. Very pink. I'd probably put it on an infant it is so tinkerbell. Okay, maybe not an infant. But certainly a toddler. Today I was using a better homes and gardens wax melt, something called spring rain or similar, and there was something in the fragrance that is also in this perfume. I don't mind wearing this at night, its very pleasant. It is as airy as a transparent butterfly wing. Wouldn't wear it out though. It doesn't read to me as a perfume, it reads as a room scent.

This was a weird one. It does smell the same as the original extraordinary but the champagne note gives a very plasticky vibe on the skin. I had to give this one away, i paid more for shipping it off to a new home than I did purchasing it in the first place - I just had to get rid of it. There’s a lot of perfumes I hold on to (even bordering on to hoarding territory) that Im not all too fond of... but this... This is all just my opinion of course, but even given the price this perfume is not a safe blind buy. Definitely recommend the original because even though it lacks character, it’s very inoffensive and a quick and easy option if you don’t want to overthink wearing something but still want to wear perfume for the day

I was trying to purchase the "Extraordinary" perfume (without the "Petale") but accidentally purchased this one instead. I typically do like floral fragrances but there is something about this one that smells artificial and unbalanced! I couldn't stand the plastic cap either because it's a different shade of pink than the bottle. I haven't smelled the regular "Extraordinary" fragrance but the Petale version makes me wary of Oscar de la Renta's other perfumes.

This one had to go back. I do love the ODR line of fragrances, well a lot of them, but this one has an ingredient I just cannot wear well. I love Extraordinary, but this one smells nothing like it to me. I guess we just cannot like every scent any designer puts forward.

I love it. I went on a quest looking for Oscar Flor and couldn't find it. I hate I let my friend have my small Oscar Flor as I wanted a bigger bottle it was so good. and i was gonna order but didn't feel like waiting for a delivery. So anyways, today I was about to leave Marshalls miserable because I couldn't find it. I was gonna die if I couldn't find my Oscar Flor. Then suddenly out of nowhere Oscar Extraordinary Petale appeared. I was hoping it wouldn't be a granny perfume as it was a blind buy. I love Oscar Flor so much that I was confident I would like it. And i like it!!! It was nice Jasmine orange blossom not candy sweet. A nice neon pink floral. It kind of reminds me of a better done more luxurious version of Britney Spears Radiance. This will shut me up until I get me another bottle of Oscar Flor! I love them both and think every woman should have both while they are being offered at a lower price before they end up being discontinued and charge u $100 per bottle! Get them both!!! UPDATE: Im a male so i definitely couldn't pull this one off as it is too flowery on me. My skin turns it into CARPET FRESH CARPET DEODORIZER. It may be because it's freezing outside and this is a spring scent. idk but I still think it is pretty and FiFi nod worthy and I will buy it as gifts. I love it on women. I feel like it's vital floral in every woman's collection; a great starter floral for girls and women not into straight up "Sunday Church" rose florals but still want their flowers. Of course there are better ( pleasures bloom etc.) But this just works for the price. Hell, I want another bottle only because I feel left out lol!

I really love the OdLR Extraordinary. To me Extraordinary is fresh Springtime Cherry blossoms with other pretty flowers added in. The perfume is a time and place and certain mood type. But, uplifting. Naturally, I thought this may be just as pleasant. This particular one smells tweenie and cheapie. Not that they're expensive in the first place. But, I don't care for this one. I gave the bottle to my neighbor's fourteen years old daughter. She loved it. She was so excited, and said, "It's my first "Real" perfume!". Which actually melted my heart. Anyway, that pretty much sums it up.

The orange, lime and jasmin in here remind me of Modern Muse edp. Oscar EP doesn't have MM's patch & musk though. Instead it's heavy with iso e super. Very bright. I'm guessing iso e super is mimicking the champagne note. I feel like there is some honeysuckle but it's not listed. A peony-type rose is detectable which makes it very spring-like and adds pinkness. It's good but i can do without this one. I like the orange, lime and jasmine about this but I love it done in Modern Muse much better.

I bought this perfume because I have Extraordinary and like it and because I've had good luck with Oscar. But I returned this Petale version simply because I could barely smell any scent -- either from the bottle or once applied. The most that I got was a little bit of citrus and musk that on my skin lasted but minutes. And that little bit of scent just had no personality.

Got a five mL sample. The first spray reminds me of Guerlain’s Nettare di Sol with its bergamot and orange blossom. After that I can’t smell much unless I press my nose into my arm. It’s airy all right—almost vanished into thin air. Now it’s similar to the aftersmell left on one’s skin by a nice soap. Not what I’m after, but I’ll keep the sample for future trips.

Very sparkly fruity scent, like a fresh juice, very summery, and some florals in the base, it isnt too young, it just is charming in its own way..I find it very different from the first one...could be like a typical Escada, although it has something more, it isnt as sweet, more juicy..nice, although not outstanding !

this is a pleasant inoffensive fragrance although not extraordinary. it opens with a pretty and powdery sweet floral bouquet with citrus traces. i can sense vanilla and musk too. it's not very strong so i cant see it lasting but i'll update later. i like it but its nothing special.

Bottle is prettier in person. I see nothing wrong with branching out for this house and reaching to a younger demographic. They still carry their classics. This is a really pretty scent. Better than the first of this line.
