Oscar Flor

Flor is the essence of soft green femininity. I picture a well dressed lady whispering into her man's ear as they are sitting on a blanket under a tree in Spring. The trees being newly budded and green. The flowers all over are newly opened and fragrant too. This lady is not overstated but elegant. Her words are seemingly welcomed and demure. She is most definitely adored and respected as most refined ladies are by their men. Value is always valued. I have had Flor for a few years. My Aunt gifted her to me. I skin tested her then put her on the vanity with my other Oscar fragrances and sadly I neglected her. I was dusting the other day and decided to give her a spritz. I am so glad that I did. This juice is stunning. Upon first spritz she is a bit tart. I attribute that to the Litchi and Neroli. Then in a few minutes the Peony takes over and it is divine with its fresh, soft, floral essence. I also detect the sweet Pink Jasmine but mainly I smell a wonderful stately Peony. Very nice! Then I pick up on the Green. I love Green. Chanel No. 19 is one of my favorites. I definitely get that vibe here. Flor is softer though and not nearly as sharp. I will consider her a good softer alternative to my beloved No. 19 from here on. I also picked up on some Mango. It is light on me. A nice fruity addition to the bouquet. The Musk is most noticeable on the dry down. It is soft and comforting. The Tonka I detect as well but it is almost an afterthought. The sillage is huge upon first application then it abates to become moderate. The longevity is about five hours which I consider good these days. My husband was complimenting me when he came home saying I "smelled like a lady". :) This juice is a Green Floral with a bit of soapiness and she has won me over. If you like Green fragrances I highly suggest you give Flor your consideration. She is a masterpiece that is refreshing and uplifting. I love it when I find these treasures within my own collection. Good times!

Last year for my birthday present, my husband bought me a bottle of oscar flor. Since then I've purchased and used up 2 more 3.4oz bottles! This is a beautiful peony,mango,jasmine, ivy,cassis, perfume! It is one of my favorites. The initial burst smells like mango and peony. Mid notes smell like creamy jasmine, light mango, ivy and cassis. I can smell cassis all the way through. The base notes become more creamy, tonka bean, musk, peony, and cassis. Longevity about 6 hours, sillage is an arms length fir about 2 hours then sits in a close personal radius like a fragrant bubble around you. It's perfect for spring and summer but i wear it all year round. I absolutely love this perfume. I have a couple squirts left in my bottle now and I'm clinging to it anticipating next week when I'm able to by another one. For anyone who is crazy about layering scents like me FYI, bbw tahiti island dream body lotion and body spray with oscar flor sprayed on top is an addictive combination! Whenever i wear oscar flor i always wear tahiti island dream under it. The creaminess intensifies, the scent is more complex and it adds some depth to oscar flor. Oscar flor is a perfume i will forever have in my collection!

I never thought I will find a little child for my signature perfumes avenue and Dupont, well this is, an avenue without magnolia in the middle of Switzerland, the country who inspired Dupont perfume. Amazing, this little thing dethroned one of my other second perfumes. Now about the smell....well it's a cold perfume like Dupont but has that floral ball inside more in the style of avenue and in the same note like avenue it's a pure feminist gender, floral, powerful and clean, not sweat and overheating. Like his parents I wear it on day time, very funny actually because avenue is my perfume for normal office day and Dupont for the time in need to punch the table, now my colleagues are very confused because for one this smell like a avenue at on point and after a Dupont and vice versa, just a few part of them realised is a new one, the thing is that the ones who doesn't understood is a new perfume are like: ok boss is fine today....omg what the hell happened she wear the Dupont I thought we don't have any meeting today....avenue again, what is wrong with her this week..... No I didn't tell them because I like to see them confused 😈😈😈😈

Fresh floral. I don't get "tropical" as said in the notes slide bar. Springy and summery though yes. Probably more a spring scent. It's helping me dust the snow off my boots as we speak :) Bursting floral on first spray, mellows down into the not overly sweet mango and soft peony shows up. It rides there a few hours and eventually a soft sweet musk settles below the gentle fruit floral heart. Settles at the skin after about 4 hours but you stay beautifully scented. I can still smell this morning the wrist sprays I used last night. This is one of my top 5 must haves. It's a go to easy wear for everyday to feel fresh and clean. I've found I am old school as far as perfumes and their notes. I like basic unconfusing scents. This is one of them and I love it. Peony, semi sweet mango and soft musk is what I get. Wishing I had bought the large bottle. An ounce of anything goes too fast when you love it.

Oscar Flor by Oscar de la Renta is so feminine and fresh! I love peony because it is such a fresh floral scent that is very clean and mixes well with grassy green notes and sweeter fruity notes. The cassis smells similar to black currant but has a very fresh tropical twist to it – kind of like a blackberry and a pomegranate combined. Normally I shy away from jasmine dominant fragrances because it tends to smell pungent with my body chemistry, but the sweet mango balances out the jasmine and makes this a wearable fragrance that has jasmine in it for me and I love that! I have not had much luck with Oscar fragrances in the past, but this one is absolutely fantastic! Smells gorgeous!

When I received this in the winter I thought it was a fail because all I got was floral soap. But wait! Today it's 20C with 60% humidity and Flor is blooming. The litchi and mango have come forward rounding out the whole composition to a moderate intensity fruity floral. The cassis has calmed down in the mix and it is now giving a bowl of freshly cut fruit salad next to a floral bouquet on a beautifully laid table in the sun instead of heavily perfumed guest soap. This one is definitely weather dependent. If you didn't like it before, maybe give it another chance when the temperatures rise.

I love this beautiful fruity, fresh, floral, green delicious perfume. Immediately I get a very gorgeous, strong juicy smell of mango, litchi and peony! It's stupendous! Oh it's really fantastic! Then all day (and it lasted from early morning - 4am - until the next morning very well!) I could smell everything in it wafting around me - bit of this, a bit of that. Nothing disappeared, it just softened a bit, and became a little more powdery. Oh completely sublime! It's almost my favourite! Maybe .......? Hmmm... not quite, but very close. It's incredibly gorgeous!!!

It's gonna be quite personal now...Flor is the perfect scent for a...hangover for me. :D Seriously. Whenever I'm a day after a big party fragrances bother me, all but Flor. Wearing it I feel refreshed, clean, and even my head gets better. :D Flor works amazingly in giving all the positive vibes too, uplifting and cheerful scent. And last but not least - it stays literally all day long. Miracle, considering how fast all other fragrances disappear from my skin. So go and find this little gem. For me it was a blind buy at the TK Maxx. A very lucky one. :)

This is like a wonderful floral garden in the early summer. To me, it smells a little bit like my much-loved Alfred Sung Sung but without the sharpness and a nice, quiet rose added in. If I ever had to limit myself to just a few bottles in my fragrance wardrobe, this would definitely make the list. I have fragrances that I can wear anywhere and then I have fragrances that may be too strong and may offend others so I just wear them at home. I feel I could wear this anywhere.

I just bought this blind and I LOVE it. I have a lot of different scents and seldom run into anything I get truly excited about anymore, but I am in love with this!!! Peony is one of my favorite flowers and it is splendid here. It's also got enough green to keep things crisp.It's so light and fresh that I can't stop smelling my wrist. I got this originally from Scentbird and since then have purchased two full-sized bottles. Worth trying and definitely worth buying!!!

This my first time commenting over a fragance since I have tons of them, I’m not even lying lol but I collect them and let me tell you this perfume it’s perfection for people who live in a very hot weather like Tampa, Florida. It’s airy , cooling, and beautiful soft flowers 🌸 aroma that lingers for a long time. Just exquisite I have a back up. I don’t even know what to say because I have much better perfumes. But this one calls my soul for some reason.

Yum! I love this. I have the original Oscar as well and this is so different. Much lighter and sweeter. I am getting a lot of fruit from this mixed with a light floral. It smells juicy and refreshing and wonderful. I love the tropical twist that it has. It reminds me of warm summer days on the beach drinking fruity cocktails and laying in the sun. It smells like a vacation in a bottle! I would highly recommend if you are looking for a fun summer scent.

I would call this an underrated hero, it’s bright, it’s green, it’s femme! It’s got an initial blast of ‘zinginess’ that almost reads bergamot to me and keeps it smelling fresh and upbeat. You also get the ripe juiciness from the mango that just screams Summer! Such a good addition to my spring/summer rotation, it’s also slightly reminiscent of Fleur Narcotique by Ex Nihilo at only a fraction of the price, I would opt for Flor any day though!

Brought a bottle of this yesterday. I love that it's a floral with a fruity twist which I think keeps it modern and doesn't smell like pure sugar. The mango and litchi give it enough sweetness without the celebrity perfume vibe. Its very feminine but also dries down to be very faint in a period of two hours. It's not a "look at me perfume" but does possess class and I think it's softness would receive compliments.

i like to give a little shout out to a forgotten little gem :) this is a fun clean fresh crisp rose scent - well i know theres not actually rose in it but i swear it smells like rose......maybe its the peony im not sure but let call it a wanna be rose scent lol...............but if u like clean soapy peony rose inspired perfumes give this a try.........its uplifting & makes u feel happy :)

I just smelled this for the first time in the store that I work at(Lord & Taylor) and I have to say that I adore this scent! I am not a huge fan of the original Oscar scent, but this is a perfect blend between floral and fruity but not too young sweet smelling typical fruity-floral. I will definitely be purchasing this in the near future! Way to go Oscar!

100% agree with @violetstorm In my mind it's a rose perfume. I will always have this perfume in my collection, it was love at first sniff when it first came out. Smells like clean fresh rose, very elegant. Low projection and longevity is poor but this scent is definition of elegance for me. I imagine Galadriel from Lord of the Rings would smell like this.

Cold, clear, super clean juicy floral that envelops you in mild, but lastning peony-neroli-mango freshness that develops into jasmin and musk. The fragrance is more than a sum of its parts - supremely blended and perfectly balanced. I can find no faults with it. It is a bit green and tart, but mostly juicy and garden-like.

This one is just so pretty. Definitely not appropriate for any season other than spring and MAYBE summer. It's sweet and soft with hints of fruit, but still very floral from beginning to end. Pretty long lasting on fabric - haven't tested on skin yet but if I do with different results I'll update this review.

a wonderful fresh clean soapy floral scent :) and I mean soapy In a good way...........when u spritz it on u feel invigorated , clean, & refreshed............ I do find it to be pretty long lasting at least on me it is :) and on me the peony is a stand out :) a unique sparkly clean scent !!!

Beautiful, a sweet spring floral that is really green! It has a sharp bite in the throat like fig leaf. Peony and leaf with white musk and jasmine. Very pretty and unique for a floral. Not too big and white but powdery and different.

This is a beautiful, cool, watery, floral fragrance. Hints of green and fruit. It's perfect for warm weather and performs very well. I'm on my second bottle - it's a great fragrance at a reasonable price tag.

Such a bright sunny pink floral! Fresh with a hint of litchi! Delicious refreshing and nothing boring or innovativive but still very nice! Thanks Kenziemichelle for the sample will buy a fb!

Disappointment 😞. Very weak and faint flowery smell. Nothing special an nothing unique. An after shower scent or sleeping scent. In the selling bin it goes.

This is pretty!! Floral at the start, then super creamy on my skin, must be the mango! So nice love it!! Blind bought, glad I did :-)

a happy floral . different to all. worth trying.

I managed to get a 100ml EDP of 'Flor' in tester form for an absolute steal (under £15 here in the UK) and it was a total blind buy as I'd never heard of it before, or smelled it, but I know that ODLR do some very good perfumes so I took a chance, along with risking buying a tester bottle of Vera Wang 'Flower Princess' too (a girl has to treat herself every now & then!). Luckily, I really like both perfumes - what a relief! I've had some disastrous blind perfume buys in the past few years (but some very good ones too - the original Ivoire by Lanvin and Escada 2005 which I adored) but both Flor and Flower Princess are definite winners! Both are girly florals with a touch of fruitiness, they're fresh, clean smelling (NOT cold, as some people are describing Flor as being!), the sillage is good and they're long-lasting, with a little going a long way. They're in the vein of Elizabeth Arden 'Splendor', which I really like, and also not dissimilar in their floweriness to Anais Anais and Pleasures, both of which I know are very popular but I dislike both of those yet love Flor and Flower Princess! Both are good to wear anytime but are particularly 'office friendly' types of perfumes that I doubt could offend anyone, unless they're grouchy, pernickety, annoyingly critical and hard to please types! I'm a bit gutted to find that the website I got them from has now gone out of stock of the big bottles of 'Flor', and I had wanted to buy a back-up bottle, but I can still get smaller bottles there, or bottles on other websites. so it's not a catastrophe! I can definitely recommend Flor, along with Flower Princess too! :-)

Flor is like ballerina's multi-layered skirt. It is like a watercolour painting of peonies. It is sooooo pretty, SO pretty! Clean, feminine, fluffy, little powdery and oh, so pink! The picture of a peony at the top of the chart "Main Notes According to Your Votes" says it all. It's not necessarily that the smell of the peonies is very realistic here, and I am not saying that it's the only accord here either (the mango is quite noticeable as well for example), but the essence of the flower with its outrageously lush head of fragrant petals is somehow very fitting with the description of this liquid. I love peonies. There is incredible variety of them, ranging from small, modest plants to luxuriant, large bushes and displaying incredible range of colours from white to red and purple with any imaginable shade of pink in between. Oscar de la Renta's Flor is a perfect description of the flower. Whenever I am wearing it, it makes me feel like I am floating on a cloud of pink petals, like I am surrounded with puffs of this gentle and soft, but somehow intoxicating fragrance of peonies.

When I first sprayed Oscar Flor on my skin, I was struck by the distinct smell of grapefruit juice. I know it's not listed as a note, but I think the combination of neroli and mango--and possibly the litchi, ivy, and peony--combined in such a way to make it smell very much like grapefruit, a sharp citrus scent that never really abated. I wanted this perfume because Luca Turin gave it five stars, and I do like the nose, Calice Becker (Beyond Paradise, original formulation, is a longtime fave rave), but I'm glad I just bought a single ounce and not a larger bottle. A little goes a very long way, and the longevity is quite incredible for what smells for all the world like a grapefruit/peony combo. I might try layering this over Nirvana White body oil, with its almost imperceptible peony scent, to amplify the floral notes so that they dominate or even co-exist peacefully with the crazy grapefruitlike accord. Otherwise, I think I will reserve Oscar Flor for hot and humid summer days because it seems very much like a freshie with staying power, and those are rare birds.

Sprayed without looking at the info. Something coniferous early on - intriguing. It must be the ivy. Neroli, too (I don’t know neroli separately). Is it listed as floral woody? No, just floral, and there are no woody notes. But there are fresh, green and aromatic accords. So that’s how it feels - fresh-green-aromatic if not woody. To my taste, it’s glorious. I’m not sure what the litchi is like in perfumery. Real litchis do not smell much, do they? Just a slight watery freshness. Do perfumers translate the taste to a smell? I imagine it’s the litchi that imparts a hint of sweetness to the opening. I expected from the colour of the box and the picture on the bottle that it could be a rosy fragrance. Not really. I think it reminds me Sea Rose but is much greener. Energetic and uplifting. With the rose accord in both of these fragrances in mind, I wonder how the pink peony relates to a rose. What can I say? It’s beautiful overall (if you have a similar taste profile). As to longevity, several hours later, I still fully feel it on my clothes.

I blind bought Oscar Flor due to a positive review and very low price. Because it was so inexpensive I'm not disappointed, I like it but it won't become a favorite. It's a very sharp and tangy peony upon application and changes into a somewhat unpleasant metallic scent on my skin after about an hour. Fortunately that fades after another hour and then it goes back to a lighter version of what it started out like with a musky drydown. Moderate length of wear and light to moderate sillage. I give it a 3.5 out of 5, average to good. Edit 10/26: I'm really starting to enjoy this scent in the rollerball form I have it in. I'm having a bit of a weird obsession with the opening, it's bright and almost screechy but in a good way if that makes sense. It has the same kind of effect on me as Moschino's excellent Funny! I don't think they are all that similar of scents but the effect is very similar. Something tells me I'll want to stick with the rollerball form of this one as sprayed I may be overwhelmed rather than appreciative of the opening.

My first ODLR. I have heard so much about this house and how they consistently put out good fragrances. I still plan on trying Live In Love and Something Blue. I wasn’t intrigued about this perfume until I learned that it smells similar to Eternity Moment. I got a really good deal on a new bottle. This is mainly a green, fresh fragrance. You can really smell the cassis, ivy and neroli all the way through the dry down. It blends perfectly with the litchi, jasmine, mango and musk. I’m not going to lie. It does initially begin a little heavier and screechy than I personally prefer but it does soften. The longevity is pretty good. Definitely can smell this 4-5 hours later. I just wish I had found this in time for spring because it’s perfect for that season. I love the bottle design. I am curious if this smells close to the original because if so then I need it. This is cheap but it smells luxurious and expensive.

This absolutely smells like floral soap! 🧼 For me, that is not a bad thing! I happen to really like a soapy scent! This is fresh, a bit green, floral, and truly a great scent. It’s currently winter and I think this will shine better in warm weather. I would consider this a daytime fragrance. It is ladylike, and well behaved. I picture wearing a white floral sundress and sandals, possibly a 👒 straw hat, sipping tea on a beautiful patio! I love the jasmine in this! It’s pretty pronounced so if you don’t care for jasmine this will probably not work for you. I don’t pick up the musk or tonka in the drydown yet. So I feel like this might be amazing layered with something a bit warmer to even it out a bit! I’ll have to try that and let you know if I come up with any great combinations! It also lasts forever! I had to wash it off in the morning!

I have had this scent for quite a while now but I never wrote a review. Perhaps because it is not one of the best of Oscar's to me. I like it but there are some qualities about it that just do not make my nose happy. I am a huge fan of most all of the Oscar perfumes and I do like this one but I think maybe the peony is just too forward in this fragrance. I have never been much on the peony. A little I can handle but an overdose turns my nose away. I do love the bottle. It is very pretty and is the usual design of the older Oscar bottles. I am glad I have this perfume in my fragrance wardrobe though. If I could find a larger bottle, I am sure I would purchase it. I find that as time goes by, my love of scents can change from like to love. This is yet another well designed fragrance from ODR.

ive given a previous review in cooler weather this review is for hot summer weather I think the accords are spot on, I get the fresh, fruity (zingy like lime?) green, floral (but I cant identify, it much be what balances it). the other accords are floating about evening things out. complex scent, I tried this along with babydoll by YSL which was sweet as, this one was fruity but cooler and zingy, with fresh and a sweet green - a sweet but green herb? I like both of these better in winter or cooler times, smelling them both on the same arm one after the other (while both scents were good and I feel youd get you r moneys woth in terms of longevity) I didn't like that particular day. this lasted a lot longer than one would expect. pleased :-)

Flor is all balmy, rosy, musk to me with a fesh, clean vibe (no sweetness in here). It gives you that creamy, soapy, fresh and clean feel of a shower gel or body lotion but in perfume form. I have it on a tester strip that I sprayed yesterday; more than 24 hours later it is still going strong - excellent longevity, and I dare say it projects well, too. Don't interpret that as Flor being overpowering; even though it is not a shy flower it doesn't overpower (well, if you are not too trigger happy lol).For me personally a bit too soapy, but I think if I'd pass someone wearing it I'd appreciate the nice balmy, clean smell.

Mango is the first impression for me, then the lychee, which continues to the floral heart. This is a very feminine scent as are many perfumes in the Oscar dlR line. I agree with others who say this is a summer scent. Longevity is moderate an sillage (with two sprays) is light to moderate. This is very nice but I wouldn’t buy it again. I have plenty of other options from this genre. However my tastes run to the exotics, orientals and intense Chypres, together with fragrance gracefully defined as mature scents. Someone who loves fruity florals will probably enjoy this much more than I do.

Smells way more expensive than it is. It gives early 2000 vibes - sweet, fresh, bright and playful. I have bottles that cost 10x the price of this and I would be just as happy wearing Flor. I particularly like it when it's warm, during the spring and summer. It would smell amazing for an outdoor party or outing. It's like an Escada summer scent, but more elevated. Don't pass this one by - if you see it in a bargain bin or on the gray market, grab it while you still can!

Luca Turin attributed four stars to this scent in his new guide 2018. First I thought: Well, just another shower-gel-type floral...so meh. But then it grew on me. It is a fresh floral, but very well done, not intrusive, long-lasting, uplifting. Ideal for office and school. Excellent when you don't want to stand out and aren't in the mood for a heavier fragrance.

Oscar Flor is a fresh white floral with strong citrus undertones even though citrus is not explicitly listed. It feels clear as sunlight, and light as a breeze. I get hint of fruit that is reminiscent of litchi jelly. The cassis in the dry down puts me off, but this is otherwise really pretty and easy going. Sillage is a little less than arms length.

It's nice and fresh. Very citrus-y at the beginning, then green when it settles; it kinda smells like green tea on me, and at moments it reminds me of freshly mowed grass. I can't feel any mango whatsoever, but the peonies are definitely there. Not my thing, though... I guess I'm more into gourmand scents. Sillage is good and it lasts many hours.

Soft floral A little grassy type fresh, no marine I don't think, floral definitely. Not creamy, and not sharp. Maybe jasmine? I'm not so great pinpointing exact scents. Top notes are beautifully floral fresh and rounded. I might be smelling some rose in there... I will wait for the base. Had it in an hour, and it's coming into spring now

On me, this fragrance is all about the cassis, and the kind of fruit flavored tea that you can get at Panera's. More fruity than floral. Usually, I shy away from litchi, but this is really nice- Like Ange ou Demon Le Secret, minus the patchouli- Longevity and potency are quite amazing.

Oh so feminine...floral and tart. I really don't know how to describe it other than its like a much longer lasting, beautiful body spray from bath and body works. But that gives it a cheap vibe by description and it's really not. It's really beautiful. I really really really like it.

Very strong peony note, but you can detect the cassis, jasmine and fruit as it develops. I think this is perfect for summer. It is simple, fresh and sings in the heat. Nothing sultry or evening about it but I would consider it an all-around great scent for casual events/outfits

This one is a bit stronger than the gold velvet bottle from this year also. I'd say it's a reasonably safe buy, if I had one given to me I'd use it, don't know if I'd buy it. I like this better than extrodinary women or what ever it's called

Sharp zingy but not in a citrus way. Love this more in the cooler months, I tried it in summer and it's nice but goes blah into every other non spdescript floral, winter keeps the zing. Great price, easy to wear. The main accords look right.

Great value, lovely smell and very fresh. Anything from Calice Becker and I am in but it's not amazing. Just good and perfect for Summer or for those that like florals and fresh. This one will tick the requirements.

This is pretty, mild and sweet. Picked the peonies right off. Like a pink, soft, pretty little scent cloud. Quite nice.
