Oscar Marine Spirit 2005: Why On Earth Did Oscar De La Renta Make This Gorgeous Perfume A Limited Edition Only?? & Not Have This As A Spin Off To The Original Oscar De La Renta!! I Have This Fragrance In My Vast Perfume Collection & I Have To Admit That Like The Original Oscar I Absolutely Love This One In The Height Of Summer Or On Holiday In The Heat Of The Day Or A Warm Evening Out!! This Perfume Oozes Pure Class In A Very Up Market Way,With It's Beautiful Salty Sea Breeze Quality,That Has Mixed With Some Green Shrubs/Citrus Tree's Adding To The Beautiful Marine Side Of This Fragrance!! Even The Bottle Is Just Gorgeous With The Added Blue Colour Glass Sides & Blue Plastic Top!! Oscar Deffo Should Have Kept This Perfume Very Much Alive For Summer Wear!! Im Delighted To Say That I've Sourced A Brand New Un-Opened Bottle Of This Beauty On e.bay As I Simply Don't Want To Be Without It In My Perfume Collection!! This Is Deffo Far Nicer Than Cool Water Which I Honestly Can't Stand!! Very Much Reminds Me Of Toilet Duck!! Where As The Oscar Marine Have Deffo Got The Fragrance Spot On!!

oscar, marine spirit two sprays inner elbow summer but a wet and cold day i have two minds about this scent. first i want to say bathroom spray (although a lovely one - i have an oceanic one in my bathroom now that i would be happy to wear). second is that this is a creamy, aquatic, slightly herbacious scent that is totally great. first impressions: more 'ocean' water as opposed to 'fresh water lake' as in davidoff's cool water - i will compare to that scent as CW is likely far more available than this. CW keeps to the fresher water side of the fence, (when i was younger i thought it was masculine, not so now im older) this one you need to let settle (the slight aromatic zest which is very light) and it goes rounded watery, not the same scent as l'eau d'issey but yes in the depth of the watery note i think it must be the white flowers that are keeping this creamy - several frags i have with white florals have a 'wet'vibe. i will add the ending once ive had on a few more hours

PaulieDoodle, I whole heartedly agree 100%. Why did they not keep this beautiful fragrance as the go to summer scent? This is nothing like Cool Water or even New West, which I have. She is refreshingly cool, feminine not sweet. She breathes, makes you feel good and helps you have a good attitude about your day. It is not over citrus either. I bought my bottle in the Cayman Islands while on a cruise 12 years ago, only have less than a quarter left. If you can find this one, grab it! Longevity depends on your skin and she doesn't hurt your nose on first spray, like New West. She is gentle and you feel like you are "in" water surrounded by some refreshing citrus, not over citrus with florals. Comforting! It was a limited edition fragrance only and I should have bought 2 bottles of this. Update: 6/16/21 I was able to find another bottle of this wonderful marine fragrance in 2019. These limited edition scents are unique. I gave a in-law the bottle I mentioned above with tiny bit of fragrance and she went crazy over it! If you can find this now, it is ideal for hot weather! This is a very refreshing, aquatic, cooling, luxury scent. This makes you think of cruises, boating and just surrounded by ocean, lakes etc. You get the picture! It so calming and relaxing, to me. There is no sunscreen vibe either just fluidity! Longevity is pretty good on me!
