I blind bought this because the accords made it sound like it would be right up my alley. Smells like soap or lotion to me. Not that that's a bad thing. Like others here, I don't smell the citrus. It's really floral. Not really anything special about it, but this flanker definitely smells better than the original Oscar.

I forgot that I had this and decided to pull it out today. Everything about this is really beautiful. Aquatic in a way that does not smell of melon (and I love Escape, Sunflowers, etc., but it is NOT like those), but like sandy flowers mixed with some 1970's Coppertone suntan lotion. Not tropical to me, but that sun tan vibe of beachy neroli, sand and surf. Still available for a great price, and in a tall elegant and weighty glass bottle. I recommend it to all, including the guys...I think you will be pleasantly surprised. By the way, while this was the summer release for 2008, it is not named "Oscar Summer" as stated above. If you are shopping for it, you will want to search for "Oscar de la Renta Limited Edition". Then look for the blue bottle or the box that has the same yellow flower as the above photo.

citrus? not so much.Exotic? absolutely.This to me smells like very sweet,beautiful,exotic flowers with fresh water near by. Aquatic yet not in a beachy way.This is a sweet potent and truly elegant summer fragance.

I haven't found citrus in this scent. To me is very aquatic, fresh without citrus. Very aquatic floral. Feminine and clean. Perfect for a summmer morning.
