Rosamor

I like this perfume but I need a ton to even remember having it on. No sillage what-so-ever and longevity is not a word that could even be considered in the same sentence with Rosamor. In 2004 I was trying on perfumes to get for mother and this made the cut. She used it, she liked it then, but she has absolutely no recollection of the scent - talking about a person who can describe fragrances she wore 50 and 60 years ago. I was quite surprised, because I remembered it as one of the perfumes I liked enough for me too. So I recently bought a bottle. And I now know what she means. The scent vanishes. I have to stick my wrist on my nose to even remember I have it on. Scent-wise I get no rose, and no baby powder (thankfully) either. What I do get is an immediate dry-down with a scent of lingering tobacco on old leather bound books. The smell of a house library room. I guess it is the musk with the citrus that blend this way.

Rosamor is a scent of optimism; this is a perfectly gentle powder rose, not unlike the vintage talcum powders my mother used on her vanity. There are absolutely no green or potentially sharp notes, especially once it settles on the skin. This is an easy scent to wear every day for something inoffensive, uplifting, and feminine. I appreciate Rosamor after a difficult day, or when I need a pick me up. It is also fine to wear as a bedtime scent. Also, extra credit for the charming bottle and lovely decanter!

Wow, I didn't think I considered myself a fan of rose but I like this. I also enjoy citrus and tuberose so that helps. The lasting power is not good, but if I like a fragrance enough I will buy the large bottle and re-apply. Also putting it on clothes keeps the scent with me longer. I think it's lovely. In my opinion, a perfume collection needs a powdery floral and for me, this fits the bill.

I absolutely love this fragrance. It's very unlike most of the perfumes I favor that are heavier and spicier. This is fresh and more citrus and woody than rose to me. It also has that note I love that smells like pencil shavings. Not sure what it is but I love it. One of the few perfumes I have purchased more than once or twice.

I love it, I was afraid it would be low quality for the price but this is surprisingly lovely. Top notes are mainly lily of the valey and freesia then it develops into a very pretty powderish rose. I love it. Don't get the old lady associations, this is a very beautiful elegant fragrance. Lasting power good sillage good also.

At first I thought, "this is a nice, office-safe rose fragrance. Pretty mainstream. Green, sweet, rose with some freesia and heliotrope." But then BAM, it turned into musk, musk, musk. A scent that you want to trail your nose along. I love it. Another successful blind buy.

This is a good floral. It is not one of those strong rose scents that give headaches. The blend of flowers is perfect for everyday wear, anywhere. The gardenia, heliotrope and lily of the valley and mandarin is a combination I like in my perfumes.

I used to wear it with a big pleasure, 100 ml have gone naturally. Very nice, tender sweet. The scent ruined all my prejudice against the bright pink boxes. It is associated with a wonderfully young lifetime/lifestyle. Luxury of easy-going nature.

As Spring fills the air with sunny freshness, I find myself craving for sweet freshies and this has been one that I have reaching out for lately. Great for office-wear and those days you simply want to smell fresh and feminine. Mandarin and lilly of the valley are energising and full of zest and the Rose here presented is also a very clean and reminds me of the wild Roses about to bloom in my own back yard. The whole opening reminds me of a floral and champagne-like Tang o.j.! Ylang Ylang brings some sweet depth with gardenia, tuberose and freesia: this phase lingers nicely on me abeilt faintly . I usually do not go for so much floral notes in a frag, but Rosamor keeps it fresh and vibrant. I can almost detect a watermelon note somewhere which i love. A touch of vanilla graces the drydown merging nicely with milky sandalwood and tonka bean. This is my favorate stage, where the scent gets deeper and muskier, graced with a very light tobaco that keeps it from being overly fruity or floral. I often get told I smell lovely when I , myself can no longer smell it so it must have a decent logevity on me. It sure lingers on clothes and my pillow gets the nicest scent when I spritz it in my hair. For Spring days, wanting to reconnect to mother nature after having been buried under so much snow ( oh, dearest, coldest Canada...). This is a like that will always border on the love xxxx

Rosamor is a light, romantic, and modern floral bouquet with a pleasant citrus note. The rose is very gentle here but it does not appear to be the leading note, so it would not be my first choice to recommend if you are looking for a rose perfume. On a bright side, Rosamor smells fresh, young and pretty. It is suitable for everyday use when I am not in the mood for complicated or dramatic. The opening is fresh and citrusy with a light hint of freesia. The citrus notes work well with the floral bouquet. The heart notes do not smell like a natural rose to my nose but more like a modern, slightly synthetic floral bouquet. It is not overpowering and it smells nice and clean. The subtle musk and sandalwood are nice in the dry down. I actually like how musky notes mix with the floral bouquet. The sillage and longevity are medium. Overall score 6.5/10. Versatile, inoffensive, light and pleasant. Nice to have but not one of the best roses in my collection.

Name "Rosamor" can be little deceived, for me it has nothing with roses anyway. Excellent for spring and summer, can be good equivalent of I Love Love Moschino, I can feel the same sparkling notes of citruses, freshness and hapiness which sunny, pretty day gives us but Rosamor is a little bit more sensual with its subtle touch of flowers and powdery notes (for my nose iris). As I wrote earlier, I can't detect any notes of rose (and it's good), not at all. It's more like freesia and lily of the valley but first of all it's juicy mandarin. Base is more powdery & elegant. Sillage is moderate but Rosamor belongs to lighter cathegory of fragrances. So so pretty on every girly girls/women who loves dresses and romantic feminine look! Can't be offensive so it could be good option for work. Not a fan of bottle though.

I expected a fruity floral with nice depth due to the heliotrope, but it’s more like a vintage powdery smell. Actually the person below said like Amarige and that’s right- in this weather it does smell like a lighter airier version of Amarige. Not what I was expecting at all. But I have noticed that with some heliotrope fragrances you do need some heat to open it up in all its glory and the other notes may need some heat too after a cold chilly winter. It wasn’t working in fall so I don’t think this fragrance likes heat but it may like a warm up after a chill, we shall see. It kind of smells like Rose n Roses too. I like it but it’s not what I was hoping for.

I like this perfume, but on me the rose is very vague. Like non-existant. I find stronger notes in the mandarin intially, a little more tangerine in my mind perhaps, and the lily of the valley. The citrus notes fade within the hour leaving me with a strong ?lavender? note, and a very mild woody and mild spice undertone. I can see that lavender is not part of it's composition so I don't know why I can smell it. I think Rosamor is a good all year rounder myself, and particularly suitable for summer and autumn. High notes last about 30 minutes, and it settles to last around 4-5 hours. (though I can see detect it mildly around 8 hours later)

So it’s hot summer and this is Rosamor’s season... airy but a thick olden days perfume smell. I don’t like it but I don’t dislike it either. It’s like a wanna be new version of old time perfumes. I layer this with super sweet fruity scents just to add heavy floral perfumey smell to it since deep down I really love the older heavier thick perfumes and I like to smell like I’m over sprayed in perfumes, yet I love super sweet gourmands too- just not on their own. So I won’t rebuy this but I will use it up. I wish the perfumers would start the trend of putting fruity sweet gourmands with heavy florals, it would be my dream come true!

What a nice refreshing rosey floral fragrance! Citrus and rose at initial spritz; it quickly warms up on skin like a delicate creamy rose. Definitely gardenia and lily of the valley add to this wonderful white floral lotion like presence. Fresia's utmost second prominent note in here. I am also noticing that cosmeticy aura and love it for that. Blind buy after reading great spot on reviews :) Pleasant, comforting and feminine scent. Excellent for the price and worth it! Resemblance to Elizabeth Arden's Red Door Revealed, only difference is Rosamor has a better dry down, and more "RosePower" !

Out of the bottle I smell rose mixed with spring florals and a bit of citrus. On the skin it smells like a mixed Spring bouquet or field. Rose and Freesia are participants in the symphony, but playing along...not overpowering. Sandalwood and tobacco lends a warmth to the flowers. Almost as if warmed by the sun. The citrus feels like it's trailed in on the coat tails of a breeze. Rosamor gives me the impression of classic lady who is a hopeless romantic that enjoys a lovely day in the park with good friends or picnicking with a great book.

The bottle is lovely. The fragrance starts out nice enough but it fades to not much to brag about. Not too sure I will keep this one. I do smell rose and I was hoping like some reviewers had mentioned that it was not so rosy. On myself however I get a lot of rose in a not so good way. I like it, but it is nothing I will wear for myself, if that makes sense. I had to return this one. The sneeze factor set in and I just could not live with that. Too bad because sometimes I keep fragrances just because I like the bottle. Silly but true.

just bought this and the bottle alone might make me return it, this makes me feel like I am 80yrs old. The scent however might be hard to part with as it is soooooooooooo LOVELY. Not rosey, slightly soap but not alot and I hate soapy smells but whatever all this is I am smelling is just wonderful I can't stop smelling myself. We'll see what happens a little later. I am gonna wear this one to bed tonight and make my finally decision then. :-) Edit: I am love love loving this scent I am SOOOOO keeping it!!!!!

Beautiful look. Lovely smell. Just one complaint, I CAN'T SMELL IT after it leaves the bottle. And I put a lot on and I mean A LOT. Still, nothing. It's really too bad because it smells amazing! Rose! Who doesn't want to smell like Roses? I also don't really like Gardenia but for some reason it didn't bother me at all. Maybe...perhaps..I just couldn't smell it properly. I won't be replacing this bottle simply due to the lack of longevity and sillage. Otherwise, I was so happy to be able to try it out!

Very pretty, floral and delicate, pink and feminine. It's a well-blended floral with no particular flower notes I can isolate apart from that lovely rose which is really quite soft as well. A bit of sweetness from the vanilla. Really nice spring and summer day fragrance. I don't get as much musk from it as others have reviewed. It stays soft and beautiful on my skin so I can wear it anywhere. Another great blind buy from Oscar. But then, they don't often get it wrong in my opinion.

Body lotion: Fresh and sweet+floral (probably gardenia and freesia). Can't scent any rose note but mandarine, sandalwood and tonka bean are noticeable. I think I can feel the ylang-ylang, it's not prominent at all, but I think it could work ok if it were stronger - I mention that because I usually don't enjoy that note but I think it works in this... Suitable for all seasons, maybe mostly for winter & spring. It reminds me of a familiar and pleasant scent I've scented before

Oh my Gosh. This was something I wore as a teenager!! I had totally forgotten it until I stumbled onto it on this site. I'm going solely on memory here, but I think it just smelled like rosewater. I remember wearing this everyday for years, then at some point they liquidated them at the drugstore, selling them for something like 5$. I grabbed all the bottles I could. It's been years since I've smelled this. I'd be curious to order it it online, just for memory's sake.

Rosamor as a body lotion is very, very pleasant. On my skin the scent is creamy, soft as a feather and feminine. Innocent, romantic and somehow fairytale-ish. I put it on this crisp, cold, autumnal morning and as I was walking outside, the pretty rosy puffs instantly brightened up my mood. I don't know why, but I couldn't shake off the feeling that this is something Snow White would (and should) be wearing.:-). (I do not smell any citrus by the way).

Very delicate, feminine scent. It does have a powdery feel to it, even with the citrus and floral notes. It is very pleasant, even for someone like me who usually don't care for florals. Not for someone who wants to make a statement but it's good for office or hot weather when you want your fragrance to be "polite". It is slightly sweet and powdery, giving it a fresh and clean feel. Longevity is ok, about 3 hours on my skin.

This is a great fresh rose! I often have trouble with the rose note as it takes on this "dusty" nature on my skin -- but this is wonderful! Light and fresh, sheer and sparkling -- I can just imagine picking a rose fresh from the garden with dew still on the petals! Very light and gentle, refreshing, good for the office or casual wear. Doesn't last as long as other scents from the house but this is the only drawback.

Pretty bottle, beautiful scent. However one big problem no sooner that you spray this on, it only last 30 minutes at the most. I'm so dissapointed because Oscar's first last a very long time. I would think coming from Oscar de la renta it would be a much better quality. It's bottled scented water! The fragrance smells lovely but no staying power what so ever. I won't purchase this perfume again.

Too me this perfume is just beautiful. The blend of the notes are well balanced which I love. I plan on buying my 3rd bottle soon. Its great because I always find this perfume with a very affordable price tag also. I kinda fancy the bottle as well :) I think it smells more expensive than what it is sold for but I'm not complaining.I always want this perfume in my collection :)

Isn't this marvellous? I knew I would like it.It smells to me of creamy ginger, which I love and bitter egyptian musk. It does have a twist, does smell complex. Very pleasant and well balanced. A pity it is not stronger. As for the scent I find it perfect. And lovely bottle nd box. Staying power is very poor though and I do not think silage is great. It is a pity really.

Soft, generic floral. Reminds me of Pretty or Daisy--simple, would make a safe gift especially for a first perfume for a young girl or a gift set for Mother's Day. I get very little if any rose from this. It's more of a soft, powdery floral blend, for when you just want to wear something but nothing that stands out. Not something I would wear, really, but it's pretty.

An absolutely wonderful rose fragrance! A very light scent, which could be a good or bad thing depending on your mood, but a beautiful fragrance none the less. Soft, sheer, rose, and floral... one of my new favorites, thank you so much my dear Rosie for the swap, you have once again made my day!

This is a very, very light, nonintrusive scent. I wear it when I almost don't want to wear anything at all. It's a little too floral to be a favourite for me, and I find the base notes to be almost non-existent. I wear it almost exclusively during the day, as a casual fragrance.

This is a lovely fragrance. I am all about roses and this one delivers. Really smells like a fresh cut rose. I am only bummed about one thing. I was hoping the tobacco note was more pronounced. Overall though I really like it! Happy Perfuming!♥

Looovely mandarin and rose. Not very sweet, not very citrus. It's very soft and feminine, but it's not a boring floral at all. It's a funny and sexy fragrance, that keeps me smelling and smelling it.

It smells meteoker on my skin type. It's not something that I really love, but whenever I can wear it I will. It smells very rosy, hence Rosamor, but also sorta tangy.

On me this is a sweet baby powder bomb. I don't get any rose, citrus, or other florals. Its actually quite pretty if you're in the mood for a baby bottom scent.

Anyone remember “Love’s Baby Soft” by Dana? Yep - exact scent. Longevity is just as disappointing too.

A soft, nondescript powdery rose. Nice to spray on your sheets or wear to bed.

smooth,clean,toned down rosy fiminine scent that i really like and enjoy ....

I had a sample of this so I figured I would give it a try. I love the name, Rosamor. Very romantic. In the opening, it really reminded me of Bvlgari Omnia Amethyste or Eternity Purple Orchid. A little fruity from the mandarin, but what became dominate on me is the buttery/powdery/ vanillic heliotrope. Other notes join in, but if there is rose here, I can't really tell. Maybe very slightly if I try really hard, but who wants to really work that hard for a note in a fragrance? It does have that makeup bag smell that other reviewers have spoken of. So, if you're trying this because of the rose, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed. Overall for me, not bad, but to be entirely honest, not great either. Try before you buy because it might smell wonderful on you, or not.

This is a very soft pretty scent. It definitely is powdery, which is not a profile I usually like, but this is done in a very nice delicate way. It is slightly soapy, like shavings of a Dove bar soap. I like it, I don’t love it. It sits close to the skin and seems to dry down to a skin scent. I don’t get a heavy musk at all. It doesn’t last long, just fades softly away. It would need to be reapplied throughout the day, but would be appropriate for everyday.

I have to agree with Smokeysings. I wanted to like this, the tester in the store did not develop on me the way the bottle did when I purchased it and started wesring it at home. It has an ok opening, thst quickly turns into a strange musky "floral", that is hard to identify. But is not really pleasing. After about an hour, it just smells like a bar of soap. Though not awful, I have far too many scents to bother wearing something not great. It will go to the giveaway pile. Disappointed. Oscar should really do better than release such a poorly developed scent.

I don't like to give perfumes negative reviews as I believe every perfume must be appealing to someone, but this is straight bubble bath to me. And cheap nasty bubble bath at that. I suppose there must be people out there who think it is lovely, but my collection of over one hundred perfumes has few disappointments, Rosamor is very nearly the only one I never wear.

A very pretty, feminine rose blend in the bottle. On my skin, the citrus note became much too pronounced, throwing off the balance and making it unwearable. The citrus note developed too boldly and smelled acidy and synthetic. I was so dissapointed because I loved the rosy secent in the bottle and on the test strip. Gave it to a friend who is very happy with it.

This would smell very good if it weren`t for a strong ammonia smell that overshadows the pretty notes. Freesia to me often smells like urine/ammonia, so that must be the culprit here. And the longevity is like 15 minutes, even on clothes. No sillage. Meaningless perfume, my deodorant smells way stronger.

This was given to me by someone you would expect to know me better than this: my younger sister. She has no idea! It's seldomley that i like rose-perfumes. It's dull and the lastingpower is saddening. I would give it away if i wouldnt feel guilty.

This is absolutely a non event for me. It totally disappears on me within a couple of hours. Very disappointing. I started the bottle but gave up halfway through. I was sick of it and underwhelmed and I love rose based floral fragrances.

Sooooo disappointed! I thought I would love it for some reason - but it smells just like playdough! Grody! Hideous bottle, too. You'd think with all his resources, de la Renta could've come up with something a little more interesting!

I tried this on 2004 and the scent I remember is like a sweet fruity rose. Then I found a bottle again by 2019 and gosh is not the same lovely scent at all...its very powdery

Cute bottle, cute name. Boring and ordinary smell. sweet and tender, but no peronality at all.

Soap smell, very disappointed. Thankfully, it was gone within an hour.
