White Gold

When I first got this none of the notes were listed here and smelling it blindly without knowing anything about the composition it defies many of the ways it would be categorized otherwise. It's a fragrance that is hard to pin down blindly and without knowing at least how many different things make up the composition. My guess would have been gardenia, peach and tobacco. I think it's a Fragrantica mishap that it's listed as a unisex, but I don't actually think of it as an error either. The fragrance I smell makes me think more Tom Ford private blend than Oscar de la Renta for women. I can actually totally see a man pull this off. With the note pyramid for reference, this is to me a spicy, slightly fruity and woody white floral with an interesting aromatic quality. It's somehow simultaneously creamy and spicy, floral but never too sweet. What I find interesting about this is how the notes seem to be grouped together, aside from the top, the middle and the base. It's like they cling to each other so that throughout the development you can see those same themes carried through as one note morphs into another. The gardenia is bound to the musk, lavender and tuberose. The fleeting bergamot almost immediately becomes the orchid accord and finally patchouli. The peach gradually reaveals sandalwood as it dries down. It's the first time I've ever noticed this about a fragrance. It is literally unlike anything in the reminds me of section. No relation to Dior Addict or Givenchy Organza which both have strong vanilla. I can't think of anything similar, actually. But this is the very definition of bang for a buck.

Nothing like any of the ‘smells like’ reminds me of’ except a distant cousin of Dior addict, addict is way thicker and sensual. I don’t have that ungraro one, the others I do. Nothing alike. Ok, this is odd out of the nozzle, but on skin it’s sweet, creamy, white floral dewey, airy, smooth as, cool, it’s quite lush. An interesting base stops this from being a celeb scent, it’s not simple at all. Estée Lauder does a modern muse nuit , this white gold is better, I know this profile, I just can’t place it. Totally great if you need a sweet, gardenia, sensual, smooth, great sillage scent. It’s not a floral white floral, if you know what I mean, that just lends it smooth dewey loveliness. The lavender could be there. It’s not like the essential oil, it’s more like Ariana grande lavender. Awesome base. Like a polite tobacco, with sweet creamy overlay, not dry and ashy. So happy I purchased this one. Was in the mood for some pretty, romantic, floral spring fragrances and this one is beautiful. It is not synthetic at all and somehow the peach and gardenia works with the lavender. I don't know how, but it does! It does remind slightly of the original Oscar but a softer floral and way more romantic. The heart notes blend together so well. I keep smelling my wrist and love it! The lavender doesn't overwhelm either, so impressive. First spritz might make you feel like overwhelming floral but just wait a bit. Great blind buy and I had to search like crazy for those notes! WOW! Spring and Summer in a long lasting bottle!

I have this and I love it! All i get is white florals and soft musk. Creamy jasmine and tuberose heavy. Modern smelling, not vintage at all. I don't get any citruses, patchouli or lavender. This is ultra feminine and inexpensive. Smells like expensive body products. Doesn't have the greatest longevity but I have a 6.8oz bottle that I spray heavily. Not cloying or offensive even when oversprayed. Great well-blended cheapie in my opinion. I don't get any similarities to Dior Addict (which is a personal favorite). Ages 25+ in my opinion.

I have found no literature or lists of notes on this, but it is gorgeous. White Gold reminds me of the original Oscar, but lighter. I think this has heliotrope, orange flower, citrus, bergamot and sandalwood. It lasts for hours but only has moderate projection. This is a definite winner. It doesn't smell synthetic at all, just lush, cool and floral. This could be a wedding perfume. I just thought I'd add my thoughts about White Gold today as yesterday's review was so brief.

OK I did some digging and finally found out what is in this fragrance. Here goes: released in 2017 The top notes of this scent are peach, gardenia, citrus blossom and citrus bergamont. The heart of this scent is tuberose, lavender, jasmine and orchid. The base sandalwood, lavender, musk, amber and patchouli. Not sure how to put the notes up where the flowers show but at least we have an idea what's in it.

Hello Colobama! I think Inter Parfums has acquired ODLR fragrance licensing recently, which means you probably won't see this on ODLR websites. Inter Parfums also has licenses for Van Cleef and Arpels. I think once Oscar died perhaps the company lost interest in holding onto their licenses. I'm not sure about this, but I think it's the case.

This fragrance has been out since 2017 and we cant figure out the notes? This is unusual and needs to be resolved. That's what this site is all about and why people look to this site.

This is citrus heavy and long lasting. I can't find the, notes anywhere, but I would say lemons bergamot and maybe some sandalwood. I like it.

Floral, fruity, sweet but not cloying, elegant at the same time as casual, to use daily even to sleep because it is very light and pleasant, in summer of suffocating heat it is a relief for its freshness, sweetness and delicacy, its 10000% feminine aroma, excellent duration and subdued projection (with almost 40°C)

A very nice and mild fragrance that won't offend anyone. I call this my "casual perfume". Good for a relaxing day. It goes well with any day occasion you go to. Pleasant, soothing and calming

I wonder why the description says this is unisex while all other sites say it's for women. It comes across as strictly a feminine juice. Also how is it that a 200 ml edp is so inexpensive?

Reminds me of a lighter Mariah Cary "M" the light purple bottle with the butterfly lid. It is very light, sweet.
