I was curious to try a perfume with garlic as a note, but if it wasn't listed as a note, I wouldn't have guessed it was there. It opens up with a fruity, almost acid like freshness that's still sweet. Pachouli, rose and vanilla shows quite early and stays through the whole development. Vanilla is not very prominent, but works wonders for a warm impression. The perfume can easily pass as unisex, but not leaning much masculine, it depends how your skin works with pachouli and wooden notes. Not a clean cut womens perfume, the opening is more masculine but that smoothes out within the first 20 minutes. I find this perfume a little unusual, maybe it's the garlic working in the background, but you'll in no way end up smelling like you've eaten garlic. If anything, the garlic is the kind you find growing in the wild and the scent you get when you rub the green leafs between your fingers - almost faint iris like. It's a good balanced perfume, one of the better chypres I've tried and the scent is actually quite comforting and captivating. Lasts longer than many perfumes I have with moderate sillage. Skin scent after 7 hours.
