Dean Street

A year and a half or so ago I was smelling some of my friend's perfumes she had on her tray on her vanity. This was the one that stuck out to me. She had way more expensive and complex perfumes on there at the time. Having tried, loved and owned many expensive and complex fragrances this was different. I got it, used it here and there and over the course of a couple of months I noticed whenever I didn't want to decide or think about what to wear to work, or for a date or for meeting up with a friend. I gravitated towards this scent. It has that clean fresh smell but with the lasting power of a perfume. I think that's where a lot of confusion comes in with a lot of people that don't like this. It's an airy type of scent that isn't supposed to be too complex and in your face, yet has the lasting power of a stronger eau de parfum. On skin it lasts a good 6-7 hours. However, on clothing this can last into the next day. This is definitely a Unisex scent (have gotten compliments as a male). Especially in the dry-down. I have worn this in the winter as that fresh out of the shower all day freshness type scent. Which in the colder months is a breath of fresh air but not too fresh, I think this is where the fact that it's an Eau de Parfum really helps it perform well in colder weather as well. If you're looking for a fresh clean and sophisticated effortless scent that isn't too complex, crowd pleaser and super easy to reach for. This is great. The notes aren't as relevant in this for me, give it a try and don't think too much about it. Think more in scent-profile (fresh all day fresh in a sophisticated crowd pleaser way) for none complex fragrances like this that just work!

This has been on my Wishlist ever since its release and I finally added it to my collection. It's so much better than I remember too. I get a sweet soft citrus, more linden blossom forward with a beautiful fresh rose. It dries down more musky citrus rose on my skin and lasts about 4 hours or so. It's not a beast mode projection, more intimate lingering trail. This fragrance is a beautiful blend of sugary citrus rose musk. I don’t get any distinct apricot or amber, and very little magnolia, which I’m actually grateful for. Apricot tends to smell very dry woody to me and Amber usually makes it more heavy to my nose. Since I don’t get any of that in this fragrance I’m delighted at how soft and sweet this is. I can imagine a spring mid morning tea party in a flower garden with pretty floral and pastels

i looove this, though it turned out to be quite different from what i imagined. it was advertised as a fresh citrusy scent but it actually smells more like a sweet ripe apricot. it was my go-to post-shower scent last summer and i find it absolutely perfect for that. while not the most citrusy, there's a clean soapy quality to it. it reminds me of being at a luxurious spa where you can get a glimpse of the sunset through a window. truly a gorgeous fragrance for the warmer months. highly recommend. great value too!

I accidentally ordered the wrong body wash one day on OUAI's site and ended up with Dean Street instead of Melrose Place, and OH MY GOD! The most pleasant mistake ever! This is now my 100% go to for everyday. Scent is reminds me of the Away spa at the W hotel. I use bodywash, perfume, and the lotion. Its so fresh and clean, top note citrus with magnolia then a dry down of amber. End of the day you can still smell it, perfect for summer. Im still going to wear this year round regardless!

I love this scent. I have the hand wash and when I smelled it at the store I wasn’t impressed but now I am addicted to washing my hands with this scent. It smells impossibly fresh and light with subtle complexity. I will be buying the perfume.

I love this one I’ve just bought my second bottle. It’s got great longevity and silage and it’s so summery fresh and sweet at the same time. The citrus smells like bergamot to me and it just reminds me of a warm summers evening. Love it 👍

This is clean but sweet at the same time. It’s fresh and citrusy but also warm and sweet. I get bergamot and amber in this scent. It’s quite addictive but sometimes a tad sickly.

Fresh, light, clean, citrusy, with a hint of floral and touch of warmth. I love this scent. It is my go-to.

i can safely say i’ve never owned / smelled another fragrance like Dean Street. i like it but it’s not my favourite and i probably won’t repurchase, but my boyfriend always compliments me when i wear it lol. to me it smells clean and citrusy with floral undertones, thankfully nothing like Soho’s Dean Street irl because that would be a fairly grim scent. i like it more the more often i wear it and often pick it for an evening out, but it’s definitely not for everyone and probably more suited to day wear.

This is a clean, fruity and fresh out of the shower perfume. I get quite a lot of the apricot and the mandarin. It’s a sweet and refreshing fragrance and it makes me feel clean and elegant, although it barely lasts. It probably lasts 3 hours at most and even before it completely fades away it is quite subtle. I wear it after the shower and it makes me feel extra fresh, so the lasting power doesn’t bother me too much. It makes a good fragrance for those who prefer subtle, clean and refreshing scents.

An excellent affordable clean fragrance. This conjures up images of fresh linen and newly washed hair but has a muskiness about it. I reach for this for work on hot days as the longevity isn’t amazing. If you like Mojave ghost or Blanche from Byredo, you may like this

Barry’s gym uses the products with this smell. And as much as I adore the body wash and body cream the perfume itself doesn’t appeal to me. The brand may need to improve the base components even it means to increase the price.

I found this a very crisp citrus scent. Would be lovely for daytime but the longevity isn’t there for me. It’s also very faint.

Dean Street is like a little sister to Montblanc Signature. It's more fresh, softer and a bit less creamy.

This smells like a shampoo from a fancy hotel. I get the apricot but I wish it was sweeter. It’s not loud in any way but it almost comes across bitter. This would definitely be a fragrance that would work if I was the type of person to spray perfume directly out of the shower to continue that clean feeling but it’s not for me.

I finally found a tester to purchase on eBay. I am so glad I did not blind by this because, the opening is like kitchen cleaner esq. A green kind of citrus. Quite sharp/tart/sour ish to start with. It reminds me of D&G Anthology L'Imperatrice 3. But made cheaply, the deep dry down is the best part for me.

Got a little free sample of this. It’s an alright perfume, but alike some other reviews, this to me smells a bit like a fancy toilet spray. It’s probably because I’m not a huge fan of overpowering florals, especially rose. The musk gets a bit lost in there. Not bad, just not for me.

This is a nice fruity perfume, although it is very fragrant and reminds me exactly of For Love and Plums from bath and body works. Because I can get it in a body creme/lotion and it smells like a lotion, I don't want it as a perfume. Smells cute though!

I was on the hunt for my perfect clean scent and loved this at first. A beautiful, bright, sparkling floral-fruity fragrance- that's until I started to pick up on coriander. That ruined it for me, otherwise this is a stunning fragrance.

A round, fruity scent that mostly smells like apricot to me. I feel a bit of waxiness to it as well. It's not bad, it's a perfectly pleasant fruity scent although not really my thing.

Not an overly complex fragrance but very Ouai. Clean, fresh and soapy. That’s all.

I’d describe it as the worst parts of citrus. i love citrus smells but i’d describe this as a very poignant “leafy” smell. Very disappointed because i expected something very fresh and clean but instead i got a fresh cut grass mimosa scent. I will say it did smell better on my skin, but I am still going to return this perfume.

Bought this based on the reviews and thought it would be a fresh floral scent. It is “fresh” and I’m learning I do not care for yellow florals at all, they are headache inducing for me. This smells like toilet cleaner or industrial bathroom air fresheners found in public restrooms. Yuck!

I got a sample of Dean Street free with a Sephora order and although I was expecting a clean, shampoo-like scent, this smells straight up like bug spray 😭 Went straight in the bin tbh

I’m a bit confused with the previous comment mentioning a resemblance to Signature Montblanc, I really can’t see it at all and I’ve owned that perfume for a few years. Dean Street feels like a shampoo scent. It doesn’t smell like an expensive perfume and that’s because it’s not. It’s a perfume from a hair line and it literally smells like hair products. Still, it’s fun, girly and clean and feels “young”. Lime blossom and the citruses kind of ruin what this perfume could be for me, it feels a bit off balance, not very well blended. Straight out of the shower kind of scent (slightly screechy) and that’s it with this one.

I Like the Ouai Dean Street Bodywash. Unfortunately the scent doesn't last. I got the perfume to help with that. The perfume is very strong. Two ends of the spectrum. It smells to me like fresh laundry. Mostly I smell Citus. I may experiment with applying it before using the Bodywash to see if that balances it out. I'm keeping it because it is a clean scent. Usually I wear Floral and Musks. For some reason it strikes me as a scent you would wear if you were wearing a Crisp Ironed white collar shirt. It's probably one I would spray on my lower half..not up by my face. Has anyone done any layering with it?

This fragrance gets me the most compliments specially when I’m at work! People will walk into the salon and will literally say wow it smells lovely in here then they realise it’s my perfume and immediately ask me what it is lol!. On me this fragrance stays very fresh I do really like it it’s fresh, clean and slightly floral. I enjoy the musk in this fragrance it’s very soft. I only wear this when it’s spring/summer and mostly when I’m at work because of how long lasting it is on me lasts about 6 hours on my skin and clothes it can last for days my laundry basket smelt of this lol.

My normal go to perfume is Nectarine blossom and honey from Jo Malone. I thought I’d like this because it’s fresh and sweet just like JM but I hated it. It has strong hints of floral (I hate floral perfume) and smells extremely lemony. It just reminds me of cheap air freshener. It’s also very strong, 1 spray gives me a headache. Also I wouldn’t say this is a feminine fragrance as it leans more towards unisex. This was a blind buy fail. The only positive is that it does last a while on your skin

This is incredible. I'm surprised because I thought I hated apricot (shout-out to St Ives scrub) but this smells like Fruit Stripes gum made into high end shampoo. Like the prettiest, cleanest, tropical scent ever

A crisp clean citrus that’s rounded out with sweet apricot. I love love love it. Bonus: great price point and looks sleek on my perfume tray. I’m surprised there aren’t a lot of reviews for it here!

Yikes! Sampled this in-store today. Toilet spray. With a little bit of a sherberty fizz to it. No thanks. Each to their own, but my skin chemistry and/or my nose do not jive with this at all.

I have nearly an entire bottle of this, and I tired of it after the “return by” came and went. If anyone is interested to purchase or swap, please message me!

This isn’t quite as good as the hand soap and body wash but has a lot of the same scent in it. Very light, pleasant fruity and clean smelling. Office safe.

It’s fresh and green and slightly bitter. I do like it but It does remind me of a bathroom in the dry down tho.
