Rose Oud Elixir

It’s unfair for me to say that this brand is jumping on the Oud bandwagon. Their other elixirs might suggest that, but it’s unfair for two reasons: 1. Rose Oud Elixir definitely has some oud (likely synthetic) in the drydown. 2. This fragrance is very, very good. From the berries (I get more raspberry than geranium) and saffron of the opening, through the peachy rose of the midrange, to the mellowed ambergris about six hours on, this is proper “smell yourself obsessively like a weirdo” stuff. Projects to at least arm’s length for a good eight hours, and you’ll still get random pleasing wafts after twelve. Haven’t tested sillage properly yet but you just know it’s going to be extensive when you do. I could find myself quite easily getting unhealthily involved with this, it’s that good.

My second favourite of this line (fav is dark) and I love it and I use it very regularly. I have the oil. I put all my caveats on the dark oud page, so if you care go there first. I think calling it "rose oud" is a stretch. It's sweet and warm, slightly floral but I can't get a specific flower from it, and it's leathery. The sillage smells similar to golden dust by sunnamusk imo. Although it's not my absolute favourite one from the range, this one does get me guaranteed and consistent compliments.
