Jardin de Grasse Rose Eau de Parfum was launched in 2023 and is here to expand on the 2021 Jardin de Grasse pillar. It is an olfactory celebration inspired by the legendary roses grown in Grasse, France – the world capital of perfume. The olfactory signature of Jardin de Grasse Rose was developed by Fabrice Pellegrin, one of the most acclaimed perfumers in the industry. For O.U.i., Fabrice created Hôtel de Ville 193, L’Amour-Esse 142, Madeleine 862, Paradis Rouge, and Riviere Blèue (one of my favorites). The creative concept of Jardin de Grasse Rose is based on the Centifolia rose, one of the most precious flowers used in perfumery and grown especially in Grasse. The idea is to capture the essence of the garden in full bloom when the freshness of the petals blends with the aroma of the vegetation and the soil warmed by the sun. The olfactory pyramid is constructed with a radiant opening of mandarin, lemon, and bergamot, which bring vigor and a touch of citrus. In the fragrance's heart, the queen of flowers – the Centifolia rose – is accompanied by accords of peony, jasmine, and freesia, giving a romantic and multidimensional floral note. In the base, white musk and wood create a comforting and enveloping base, ensuring a dry down that evokes serenity. The name, Jardin de Grasse Rose, reflects exactly the olfactory experience that this fragrance proposes: walking through a French garden full of roses, in the middle of spring. It is a perfume with a lyrical narrative that unfolds with each spray, transporting the wearer to the aromatic fields of Grasse. On my skin, Jardin de Grasse Rose reveals a balanced evolution. The opening is cheerful and lively, with the green freshness of citrus. In a few minutes, the protagonist enters the scene and reveals her most modern facets, focused on freshness. Don't be afraid of the powdery nuances, as they don't suit this character. Jardin de Grasse Rose has a fresh rose, accompanied by the delicious peony, a note that I love in feminine fragrances. When the evolution – which is subtle – approaches its peak, the cedar emerges with a woody lightness that perfectly balances the floral side, while the musk complements the lasting effect. The brand classifies this fragrance as unisex and I agree. And I'll go further: for those couples who love fresh fragrances, the Jardin de Grasse duo is a hit! On my skin, this version didn't perform as well as the original, but it still behaved very well. It is worth remembering that the name refers to a French Cologne, but the concentration is Eau de Parfum. Jardin de Grasse Rose stands out for its ability to be both fresh and comforting, maintaining a perfect balance between the natural and the sophisticated, without exaggerating the sweetness or intensity. Some say that rose fragrances are not for everyone. I believe in the opposite: not everyone is made for rose fragrances.

Very classy, with a vintage touch, but it doesn’t smell like an old lady. Even though it’s marketed as unisex, it leans more feminine.
