Aquamarine

This opens with a blast of seaweed and hemlock, joint by olives, than lavender and lemon (grapefruit) and a touch of rosemary take over. Being no fan of marine fragrances, I have to admit that this is gorgeous: it conjures up the Côte d'Azure, the deep blue, salty waves, their foamy white crests carrying seaweed when crashing at the rough red rocks, the mistral ruffling your hair with whiffs of lavender and rosemary, pouring sparkling mineral water over the lemon slice in your glass before reaching for the olives in the saucer next to it (sounds like I need a holiday ...). Marine fragrances often tend to be too masculine for my taste, but this one is perfect to share with your partner.

Opening is pretty challenging with the olive and seaweed, but then it quickly mellows out to become the greatest, most authentic deep sea/ocean scent fragrance I have smelled. Nothing else that I have tried comes close to so vividly capturing the ocean. This isn’t trying to be a crowd-pleasing, compliment pulling fragrance whatsoever, it’s extremely unique and niche, gritty and naturalistic, only for adventurous noses. It blows away the usual aquatic/marine suspects, and is essentially what I wanted/hoped for Zoologist squid to be.

This one is definitely my favourite. It truly feels like being on a beach, doesn't feel clean or fresh... it feels like heavily salty air and seaweed with hemlock which I LOVE the smell of. This is a very realistic fragrance, Amazing.
