1936 Special Edition - Vanille

Just to address the confusion about this particular bottle; this is not a different perfume than the regular Outremer Vanille, it is the same exact perfume in a different sized bottle, with a differently styled label on it. I have both bottles, which are both still sold, and they smell exactly the same. The 1936 version is in a 100 ml bottle and the regular Nouveau style label bottle is a 50 ml. There is also a third label on a 100 ml bottle with a 1920s Art Deco tropical graphic of a woman in a fringed hammock and an island native holding a staff that is topped with a carved parrot. All are the same Vanille. This smells like not too overpowering vanilla flavored toasted marshmallows, or waffle cones, and my partner goes crazy for it.

Boy, this is such a scrumptious vanilla. It's a cookie vanilla, warm and not overpowering. It's wonderful to layer. I am like many and a little persnickety about vanilla but this is really great. I love Outremer for their scents' simplicity. Mmmmmm.

Powdered vanilla cream, leans very sweet on skin and in the air. Perfect for cool/warmish weather, very much a 'comfort' vanilla. Same as the original Outremer Vanilla, just in a different bottle.

I used to have this and loved it. Never found it again so I don't have it anymore but it was warm and yummy. The vanilla made me feel sexy.

I have this exact one and tried the newer one. They do not smell the same, the newer one is not as good or long lasting. Just an FYI.......

This is more of a Gourmand Baked Vanilla. Quite powdery and sweet. Quite good. This version is the 100ml bottles of Outremer Vanille. Same scent ,but in a 100ml bottle.

Just okay. Quite similar to Island Vanilla by Pacifica... this is a one-note sugary vanilla. I usually love sugary vanillas, but this is too much candy and not enough depth. Upon first whiff - smarties candy.

I only get vanilla tobacco, like pipe tobacco. It's not sweet, and there is no sugariness whatsoever. I don't mind it, but would have preferred something more gourmand. Perhaps my bottle has turned.

Sugar cookies and vanilla! Reminds me of Vanille Bean Noel from Bath and Body Works which is my favorite winter fragrance. Vanilla is the only not listed but there is a sort of buttery baked cake note it that smells out of this world! Even better is that it is lesser known than the bbw fragrance so you will smell unique pretty much anywhere you go. Compliments are guarenteed with this one. And for the price, you get a lot of juice. Granted it's not that strong, but you can spray as much as you want to and it lasts for hours!

Just burnt sugar to me.nothing else.dissapointing.cant bear it, very strong ,fills the room i think i bought the wrong one.they do another vanille.not the special edition.i was tempted buy the bottle.the same as molinard vanilla.,that sweet burnt sugar aroma,cloying,have them both up for sale.i'l never be tempted by cheapies.better to buy the real thing.this stuff is to strong to layer with.no delicacy.better to do your homework.even on a cheap perfume, then less chance of dissapointment.next stop indult tahito.

This reminds me of Swiss miss cocoa. Sounds odd and maybe strong and cheap, but only on fist spray. When it dries down, it’s like a rich vanilla cake. My kind of vanilla. Lasts at work on me and I love the scent. Doesn’t give me a migraine either. Love the scent and this is now another favorite. I love the smell of cupcakes and on me this fragrance gets lots of complements! It’s warm, rich and smells divine!

This is heavenly. It’s a migraine sufferer’s dream. There are only a few perfumes I can handle for that reason. This is no more offensive than getting a whiff of a vanilla milkshake. Vanilla Fields gives me a migraine, and this is nothing like it. VF has a synthetic vanilla smell, and this is as authentic as vanilla gets! I wish I could give it 10 stars!!!
