Florale

Love this and wish it lasted and projected. It is a very powdery dusty musky floral. You have to love powder fragrances. This is not lipstick powdery but definitely an iris scent with maybe a bit of orchid and musk. It is so close to the skin and lasts briefly. It reminds me a tiny bit of the leftovers on the skin the next day from LP No. 9. Faintly in a similar family. A little spicy like that but not as spicy or strong.

A veritable bouquet of soft dusty florals, in the sense of freeze-dried flower petals crushed into a fine powder. Pink rose has the leading role, iris is likely a prominent supporting actor given how powdery this is, and there's a light underlying spiciness I imagine might be the clove-like carnation. Moderate projection for 2-3hr, longevity 6-8hr.

Formerly L'Aromarine (now Outremer), this wonderful fragrance house still produces these lovely, vintage inspired scents in the heart of Paris. The Art Deco bottles are just gorgeous. I've had a hard time hunting down the actual notes of Florale. I did read that this fragrance was created to evoke the intoxicating aromas of the Parisian flower markets. It is an EDT but wears like a parfum. Great silage. There must be something in it besides flowers because it has a heady complexity that just makes me swoon when I inhale it. It does conjure up the feeling of the 1920s in Paris, or so I would imagine. It's scrumptious!

This is one of the more musky types of floral. I'm not super knowledgeable about these kind of smells so I'm not sure exactly how to describe it, but I'll try since there are so few reviews. I get a lot of spiciness at the beginning, then a small amount of something kind of medicinal but not in a bad way.. it almost reminds me of spearmint or eucalyptus, and then like a warm/musky floral? Maybe patchouli or something? There's much more going on than just "floral" lol. I can imagine this really working well with certain people's skin and vibe. Not mine, unfortunately, it smell more interesting on my piece of paper than my skin!
