I've been searching for that perfect sugar cookie one-note vanilla to wear when I just want to feel cozy. This is totally it. Vanilla and cotton candy come together for a fluffy, round, and gourmand scent. It smells full and warm like a hug. No sharpness or eclectic blends of fragrance, just a simple vanilla. If you're looking for a "perfume" vanilla with a beautifully sophisticated mixture of various scents, you should see from reviews and the listed notes that this isn't it. Outremer Vanille is renowned, well-loved, and has a clear purpose, which is to allow people to envelop themselves in comforting single-note vanilla. I think it would be lovely for layering with most perfumes. This is my first time purchasing a bottle and I see some recent reviews mention a blast of pure alcohol on initial spray. I don't know if this is a new formulation thing, but I totally agree - the alcohol blast was horrible at first. However, I'd tried the sampler in Anthropologie and I KNEW the beautiful smell was in there somewhere. So I somewhat manically sprayed this on myself 30+ times yesterday after buying it...This morning, the alcohol smell is almost totally gone from the bottle! Let it macerate or perhaps spray it a million times like me lmao (results may vary), but after that it smells gorgeous. Sits close to the skin, but I get wafts of vanilla and cotton candy throughout the day and can still smell it on me the morning after.

Like bathing in vanilla extract straight from the bottle, profoundly sweet and absolutely delicious. Reminds me of vanilla frosting, whipped cream, and even fresh waffle cones at times, and I definitely get the cotton candy note quite strongly as well but not so much that it overpowers the vanilla in my opinion. Perfect for those with a sweet tooth, otherwise steer clear if you hate sugary syrupy sweet scents. Surprisingly strong projection and performance for an EDT at this price point as well, I only need 1-2 sprays to last me 3-6 hours and I keep getting whiffs throughout the day, it lasts well on clothing as well. Upon first spritz there is an overwhelming blast of alcohol to the point where I have to hold my breath and step out of the scent cloud to avoid my sinuses stinging, but it immediately disappears after a few seconds and the fragrance settles into an addictively rich and warm scent. Alcohol is unfortunately something that is hard to escape with vanilla fragrances, but it's not too much of a problem with this one aside from the beginning. This fragrance is quite linear from start to end, but it does its job superbly as a two-note vanilla. I've been on the search for the perfect pure gourmand bakery-vibes vanilla, and so far I haven't found any that have topped this one. Cannot recommend it enough for sweet vanilla dessert lovers, especially for the low price.

This perfume is such a love for me. It is a classic vanilla, creamy, almost reminiscent of a freshly churned vanilla bean ice cream. I also get hints of specifically blue cotton candy, exactly like the blue cotton candy gum from Bubble Yum. Combine ice cream and that, and you get this. I'll start by saying that this perfume is strong. When spraying, I often have to hold my breath or the intensity of the smell makes me cough. This and Lush's "Honey I Washed the Kids" perfume are the only two in my collection that have that effect. The good part about that is that it lasts all day. On me, I can get a sold 8 hours of wear time out of this one, and it'll still be lingering on my clothing days later. The bad part is that this perfume can get overwhelming if you overspray. Outremer's Vanille is a fantastic layering scent. Because of its simplicity, you can layer Vanille with pretty much anything and it adds a gorgeous and yummy layer of gourmand vanilla to anything. I tend to use this as a base scent for a lot of perfumes. It's a great price, lasts well, and can be worn with pretty much anything. It definitely can get overwhelming, but I would really recommend you pick this one up to have as a staple in your collection!

I am an absolute sucker when it comes to Vanilla. Call me boring, cliché, predictable, yes, yes and yes. But I cannot wish my feelings for Vanilla away! I just love a good Vanilla scent. This one is so good! It is addicting and slightly floral (to my nose) it reminds me very much of Vaniglia by Mazzolari, perhaps because it does have that slight floral touch to it? Longevity: not the best. 3-4 hours, after that, it’s more like a skin scent but it is a yummy skin scent! Projection/Sillage: both are shy but I get whiffs of it here and there and it’s pure Heaven. Price: super affordable and available at different places. I got mine at smallflower.com Season: anytime, any day, it’s vanilla! I have tried quite a few vanilla scents over the past few years. Some are woodsy, some are spicy, some are floral while others are chocolate-y. This one is straight Vanilla, from top to bottom. It doesn’t budge or veer from the initial spray. I personally love it. I also love to layer it with other fragrances, depending on the mood I am in. Honestly, this is a little gem and given its affordable price, I’ll keep repurchasing for as long as it is available.

A smokey vanilla-y plastic cotton candy. Bought this despite reading a few complaints that it smelled synthetic or like play dough, and I’m happy to report it is no more synthetic to my nose than Maison Mataha, Jovoy, or New Notes. All of them (and plenty of others!) give me play dough vibes. The difference is this one is not at risk of making me nauseous. It’s like a weaker cousin of Choco Musk, which isn’t that chocolatey, but is very strong and cloying. This is also a much better burnt sugar than Lush Chelsea Morning, and a much better cotton candy than Cocoa Pink Spun Sugar. For around $20, this is a good cheapie I don’t mind keeping around. Silage and longevity is low, but I try not to assault others around me. Lasting power is days on clothes, depending on the material. Update: out of everything I wear, this has gotten the most compliments. Comments range from cupcakes to a bag of marshmallows. If that is what you're looking for, get this. I've really come to appreciate this one for an easy reach. Just be aware you will have to spray quite a bit.

My first perfume review! I had to write a review for this, it’s just stunning to me. I’ve been very into perfume lately and been on a bit of a mad one, ordering lots of samples to try. This sounded up my street so I ordered the whole bottle (it’s so inexpensive, I thought why not). I’m so glad I did. It’s just gorgeous. Honestly, I got quite tired of the complex, overly-sweet, trying-too-hard, more expensive fragrances that I tried. This is just straight up, natural-smelling vanilla with a bit of caramel and a bit of cotton candy. I don’t find this cloying at all, just delicious, comforting and even a little bit fresh. And it lasts forever on me! I like a perfume that isn’t overpowering but I can still smell on myself and I can still smell this when I move after spraying it hours ago (I sprayed this about 9 hours ago and I’m still catching the scent). So beautiful, I’m a bit in love. If you like simple, delicious fragrances that aren’t cloying, will last forever and are super inexpensive then I can’t recommend this enough.

So good! It just smells like the notes, a sweet cotton candy vanilla but you can wear it year around, even in the heat. I wore this to work and I got a compliment on it but I do have to over spray for it to last a bit longer but people tend to smell it more! One morning I walked into my class (and there's animals in this class so it smells a bit) but it was my first class that day and I got a compliment walking into school and walking into class someone mentioned it smelt like a sweet vanilla all of a sudden. But I do have to over spray for this perfum for it to perform but it is an eau de toilette so I understand, but I have gone through 2 bottles! I also had a toy when I was younger called num noms that smells exactly like this perfume so some might think this is artificial (i mean it smells exactly like a kids toy to me), but this made me like it just as much!

Like walking into a bakery. Freshly-baked-croissants, cozy-sweater-wearing, warm-sunday-morning goodness. I get compliments every time I wear this perfume. It’s my absolute favorite scent right now! Decidedly sweet, but if you like sweet, it’ll change your life. I love using it as a base layer to pair with other gourmand scents (and fine’ry’s not another cherry, which is a great tom ford lost cherry dupe) as it’s very buildable and goes great with pretty much anything. My dad says it smells like pipe tobacco in a good way, and while I don’t necessarily smell the comparison, I agree it’s definitely a nice, powdery scent. Stays close to the skin but lingers on clothing in a way that reminds me of the smell of waffle cones that never quite leaves an ice cream shoppe. Definitely recommend if you like sweeter, buildable scents.

I find it rather amusing that the reviewers who say this smells "synthetic" are also raving about Ariana Grande and Bath and Body Works. But I digress. Body chemistry is the ultimate determining factor and unfortunately my body chemistry is the "champagne taste" type even though I would love to be on a "beer budget". Sorry, digressing again. The overwhelming majority of perfumes I can find in the US in Sephora and most department stores don't work for me because the "perfume counter" drydown always appears whenever I spray on my skin. I don't know why. I'm pleased to report that Outremer's Vanille is one of the rare AFFORDABLE vanillas that is sweet, delectable and all things bakery goodness and doesn't cause a migraine for me. I am thrilled to be able to get my sweet fix by it.

my forever go-to. vanille is my workhorse. i use her every single day, in every single combo. every day, i use the vanille extrait in a rollerball as my base, a more complex frag in the middle, and then the vanille eau de toilette (only downside!! i wish she was an eau de parfum) as my final step. you can't go wrong with my girl. you just can't. she's soft enough for versatility while being strong enough to stand on her own. she's sweet and truly gourmand without being cloying. i personally don't pick up Any of the alleged cotton candy note, but everyone's noses are different ̄_(ツ)_/ ̄. she's that girl and i'll love her forever. outremer will always have a customer in me <3

I fell in love with this after borrowing a spritz from a roommate during a monthlong trip to Bali. Made a new friend, and fell in love with this perfume. So I bought the 1.7oz/50ml and it's cotton candy but also citrus (???) - like a lighter version of Sundazed/Magnetic Candy. But the smaller bottle I had smelled was vanilla. Did some googling, turns out that the smaller bottle is more concentrated... and the bigger bottle is almost like an EDT version! So if you tried one size, try the other! For me, I prefer the more vanillic/denser version so I had to go back and buy the smaller 15ml size. Glad I have both (and one can live in my purse!).

It's a lazy Sunday summer afternoon at the county fair and you're lured away from the ferris wheel by a nostalgic sweetness on the breeze. Cotton candy! You haven't had it in a decade or more, but decide to indulge. The attendant hands you the softest pale pink cloud in a paper cone. You're transported to carefree childhood days as soon as the cottony sugar fills your mouth. Vanille Outremer is a linear, straight up cotton candy Eau de Toilette. I love it for it's simplicity!! You want cotton candy? Coming right up! I only wish it were an Eau de Parfum as the longevity isn't the best. I reach for this all.the.time though.

This is THE MOST incredible perfume oh my gosh it’s amazing it smells so delicious and lasts a really long time on me, if you spray it on clothes it lasts even longer and the sillage is great, you will get never ending compliments on this it’s just so yummy. I definitely agree with people saying it smells like a warm vanilla dessert or waffles but not too sickly sweet and it does have a hint of cotton candy that creeps in as it drys down but it’s not overpowering in my opinion. This to me is just high quality delicious vanilla, I couldn’t be without it and for the price it really is just the cherry on the cake!!!

very straightforward, as its notes suggest. first vanilla i ever owned, and i think it matches that timeline. very sweet, maybe too much so—i think my palate has evolved since i got it in high school and wore it every single day. it's young and flirty and sugary sweet. not a bad scent overall—fairly approachable, but stay away if you dislike sweet scents. you know how the back of your throat tickles when you eat something really sweet? this is how it smells sometimes. i love to layer it under more sophisticated musky or skin scents. great value, fairly safe blind buy if you like vanilla.

This smells lovely, but is soooo faint. I can smell it faintly when I first spray it, but I actually think I may be anosmic, because I've received comments like "it smells like vanilla in here" and "you smell so good," but I'm not able to smell it myself. From what I can smell, this is basically Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanilla Abricot and Montale Sweet Vanilla. Neither of those fragrances are strong on me either, but I've gotten compliments on the Montale, so maybe I'm anosmic to those, too. Very pretty, though! Layers gorgeously with B&BW Cotton Candy Clouds.

Probably the best straightforward vanilla scent out there (maybe tied with Tihota, which is very similar). This is a super light and airy vanilla extract scent with a slight crystallized sugar note that adds a cotton candy element. If vanilla cotton candy were a thing, this is what it would smell like (I envision a giant cone of white cotton candy when i smell this — not pink or blue). Actually, if you've ever tasted sugary water or even the melted ice water from sweet tea, this kind of smells like that tastes 😅 Very sugary sweet but also light.

This is so so good, I find that vanille doesn’t work in the summer but as soon as autumn comes around I am constantly reaching for this. It smells so delicious like pure vanilla and cotton candy with a hint of marshmallow, it’s great for layering and great on its own, it’s such a compliment magnet!!! A lot of people are saying it doesn’t last long, personally, this is kind of hit or miss for me depending on where I spray it etc but it usually lasts around 6 hours and the sillage is really good. AND ITS SO CHEAP!! Buy it.

An absolutely favorite of mine! This is one of the most well-rounded vanilla fragrances for its price, great for layering and incredibly authentic vanilla smell. It may come off as a bit too intensely sweet and almost lactic for some, but this is a very rich and photo-realistic vanilla extract to me. Smells very similar to In Dreams and Fairytales by Sorce, which if you're looking for a cheap dupe, is a good way to go! The only downside is the longevity of this perfume, it only lasts around 1-3 hours.

Blind buy for me that worked out great. I've determined after many recent blind guys that my skin pulls out the worst in perfumes. This smells beautiful on me without smelling childish. It's creamy vanilla caramel candy with a hint of something spice but can't put my finger on what. The mystery spicy note is what makes it more of an adult smell. Have a feel this will layer great with some other things I have. This smells like what people describe the Franck Boclet Sugar as in the reviews. 10/10

i have over 50 perfumes in my collection but this is my go to. whenever i'm unsure what to wear i just grab this. it's such an easy scent to wear and a great compliment getter. It lasts and projects very well on me. I spray it before i leave and 8 hrs later i can still smell it. 2-3 sprays total and my friends and family can all smell me too. Its very sweet but i surprisingly dont find it cloying. im also VERY picky with vanilla scents but this one is just perfect! 10/10

Takes me back to late 2016, early twenties, free, feeling alive and in love with a “kind bad boy”. Stumbled upon this gem at a vintage store called “Roadkill Ranch” back in the day and ever since, it’s been one of my top signature scents. The closest ones to me say it reminds them of me. Also have been told “something smells good!” It’s a good thing. This perfume is like spraying 100% vanilla extract but with a more crème brûlée type of note. Lovely and warm.

This is the first perfume I fell in love with. Vanille is great to layer, too. It's a nice way to add some sweetness to whatever else you are wearing. It's not complex, just a sweet vanilla- It's not expensive- but I think it will always be one of my favorites because this is the perfume that taught me to love perfume. Sometimes I just wanna smell like a dusty sugar cookie, nothing more nothing less. I feel like it is a welcoming, friendly scent.

Ok. YES. I have been looking for a nice, simple vanilla that I can layer with some other scents, and this is perfect! But tbh, I may end up wearing this a lot on its own, because this scent is just gorgeous. It's like a warm vanilla hug with a touch of sophisticated vintage carnival cotton candy. I do not normally like cotton candy scents, or things that are too sweet, and this is perfect. Not to mention...it was $20! I'm in LOVE.

This is a very sweet warm vanilla fragrance. I literally just get vanilla and marshmallows and that's about it. If you're not into sweet dessert-y gourmands this is not for you but if you are (just like me) and want to smell sweet and edible then this might be a good option for you. Yes there is better and longer lasting fragrances out there but if you're just getting into perfume or you're on a budget this is a good option.

I love this fragrance. It's vanilla with a little burnt sugar. Reminds me of a fair or festival. I've yet to meet anyone who's offended by this. I find myself reaching for it anytime I know I'll be in close quarters with people who don't like "perfume". I also layer this with so many of my other fragrances. It lasts very long on clothes, but not so long on my skin, but the price is great so I don't mind reapplying often.

One of my favorites—a flirty gourmand that smells like vanilla cupcakes with a touch of musk to balance out the sweet. Reminds me quite a bit of the discontinued VS scent Vanilla Lace, or a sweeter, more vanillic sister to Al-Rehab’s Choco Musk. I wish the spray lasted a bit longer, but the perfume oil is eternal. And for the price point, you absolutely can’t beat it. Definitely recommend if you like sweet and vanilla!

This fragrance is so gorgeous and paired with the perfume extract it lasts such a long time!! It legitimately smells just like a ice cream parlor on your skin- it is absolutely insane how well it replicates that scent and it’s a deeper gourmand so it definitely won’t be offensive to anyone. I will say it is a little bit more cotton candy than vanilla but trust me once you smell it that won’t be a problem at all 😍

This smells like the closest thing to vanilla extract with the added dry down of cotton candy. This may not be a mature fragrance, but it is one of my favorites ever! Most other vanillas that I have smelled have a bazillion other notes that have nothing to do with vanilla, which is why the simplicity of this scent is part of what I love so much about it. The atomizer sucks, but the packaging is sooo pretty!

It smells like the base note is vanilla and the top note is a burnt caramel sugar. I get more of the caramel sauce on a flan or a crème brûlée than a cotton candy here honestly. I also adore the art on the label... it's very old world and reminds me of art I saw in Prague. I can imagine this is great in fall or winter, but I am kind of a psychopath I guess because I wear this in the summer too >:)

back when i first bought this i hated it, two years later i've found it and i absolutely love it and it's now my favorite and my signature scent!! honestly i think this fragrance needs time to macerate, and i recommend not smelling it so up close but waft it towards your nose!! it's super simple and good for layering and wearing anytime, it smells like pure vanilla extract to me!!

Outremer perfumes are mostly solinote perfumes; this is no exception. It smells like like sweetened vanilla extract or sugar cookies. It's a simple perfume to wear alone or for layering. The lasting power isn't very good on me; probably 2 hours at the most. But if you're looking for a plain sweet vanilla or a starter perfume for a young lady, this is the one for you (or her)!

This is vanilla ice cream in a waffle cone🍦. You smell like an ice cream shop literally. I don't smell the cotton candy, just vanilla. I was kinda hoping it would have a cotton candy airyness. It smells good, but I prefer a richer and spicer vanilla like Vanilla 28. If you like a vanilla that smells truly edible this is for you. I personally wouldn't repurchase.

if you’re after a simple, straightforward, vanilla scent - this is the ONE. so affordable without smelling cheap, perfect for layering with other scents to add a vanilla base, and not overly sweet. love spraying myself with this when i’m fresh out the shower to top off my vanilla-oriented hygiene routine. just wish it was easier to get a hold of in the UK!

Do yourself a favor, go to smallflower, and buy the extrait of this. Literally 9 dollars, lasts AGES. I put this shit in my lotion, hair oil, bodywash, all of it. U can also add the extrait to an existing bottle of the EDT to make it stronger. I wear this literally every single day on my pulse points and will buy it until I die. I layer it w everything

Vanilla cotton candy in a bottle. Very sweet. If that sounds good to you, you'll probably like this. I also find that it has a slightly smoky quality (which I love) - but this could just be the batch I got! Big fan of the final drydown, although the initial spray is pretty alcohol-heavy. Weak sillage and longevity makes this one perfect for layering.

I grabbed a small bottle of this last year and am still IN love with it. I get warm, gourmand bakery vanilla and brown sugar from it, so cozy. It's a simple fragrance with good performance at a great price. I think it's great for layering as well! I've liked it with dossier ambery vanilla (lost cherry dupe) and by the fireplace especially.

Most delicious scent ever. My bottle is 5-6 years old so its become very saturated and sweet. I dont smell a lot of cotton candy but it definitely is there. Smells like pure vanilla extract. Ive had people tell me it smells like tires or rubber when sprayed initially, which I agree, but it goes away very fast. Lasts quite awhile as well.

Why did this have to go up $5 😭 still inexpensive but jeez, hopefully they dont keep raising the price especially since it goes “viral” every couple months Also, they definitely changed the formula bc this DOES NOT last at all anymore, can barely get 30 minutes of it when i used to be able to smell it literally the whole day

One of the best straight vanillas you will ever smell! Huge fave of mine for yearsss now. Just vanilla (and a slight cotton candy note) She is inexpensive perfection 👌 just wish it had better longevity and silliage. In that same extract-y family as Vanilla abricot, Solinotes Vanilla, white vanilla, vanilla nectar ect

my girlfriend wore this while i was falling in love with her, and subsequently when we got together 7 months later. it has run out now and i think the perfume has been discontinued but she has the bottle in a drawer and sometimes i smell it to remember a different time of new and exciting things

I would describe this fragrance as the vanilla you use while baking a cake from scratch. It’s very sweet but not too sweet to the point where you crave something to eat. It’s mixed with a beautiful marshmallow scent as well. Love to layer it with my perfumes that are sweet but weak.

This is a delightfully sweet and fluffy vanilla. It creates a beautiful scent bubble which lasts up to 8 hours. It's hard to find in the UK, but I bought mine from Lavender Room, Brighton (on Trouva). It's such a great find at a very reasonable price. I'm now on my second bottle!

one of my all-time favorites. it is very linear, i wear this to work and i find the sillage is appropriate for it as well as the longevity. have never had anyone tell me my scent is too strong. i am very prone to migraines and this has never ever ever even started one for me

A super yummy vanilla with hints of cotton candy. Initially reminded me of a more vanilla-heavy version of Skylar’s Boardwalk Delight, but it’s nearly identical to Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Abricot. Has moderate sillage but as it’s an EDT, it only lasts about 2 hours.

A delicous yummy vanilla, this is so pure and delicous, its marshmellows and vanilla and caramel and cotton candy all at once, feminine and cheap, but not synthetic and cloying, everyone needs this in there collection men and women, its also amazing for layering

Oh my GOD. Don't play with her. This is the best vanilla I've ever smelled! So simplistic! And sometimes that's the best. There's no additional weird note that ruins the whole thing, just pure vanilla extract and something nostalgic (cotton candy? pink sugar?).

SO GOOD. it has this boardwalk carnival vibe to it! decadent vanilla ice cream with a side of cotton candy and marshmallow. genuinely such a good fragrance for under $20. no funky lactonic notes, no caramel, just straight vanilla and candy floss. in love

Definitely smells of cotton candy, and I’m not mad at it. It’s reminiscent of the Cotton Candy Body Fantasy spray I used when I was 18, but a little less juvenile IMO. I will use this often, and for layering. Especially at $20 for a bottle. Good stuff.

I wore this to work in 2019 and I had a man genuinely ask if someone had brought in baked goods when he walked past me. Really good value for the price and great if you want to smell like you're carrying a plate of cookies around with you.
