Vetyver

I love the scent, but have no idea what it smells like since I have not experienced actual vetiver or the grass from which this comes except that it is lightly pungent which I like.

This is all about the lemon rather than the vetiver; a bright, zesty strong lemon that is perfect for a pick me up or a hot summer day; no vetiver to be found; disappears within about 30 minutes or so.

Sweet citruses, supported by thyme, clary sage and possibly petitgrain. In the base, a nose- sharpening tonka takes the lead, while the vetiver will only make a shy appearance in the late drydown. Overall an easy reach, unisex fragrance, that doesn't revolution the genre, and results pretty simple (and let's talk truth: a bit synthetic smelling). Not essential in my book, but overall, nice taken on its own, even if the poor performance doesn't serve its case either. Although not similar, it reminded me - vaguely - of Chanel Allure Edition Blanche (for the cloying sweet lemon) and DS&Durga Cowboy Grass (for the 'dustyness' generated by the aromatics), two fragrances I am no fan of, but this one might please who usually dig those styles. As for me, I think that this one (as well as the other two I cited) is very forgettable and even its modest price (~$30 for 50ml online) results a bit overpriced for what it is. Just ok.

A mildly soapy clean green scent suitable for church and weddings or any occasion you want to smell clean but not the star attraction.

The presentation is beautiful, art nouveau-ish with a good sprayer. However, it is more of a citrus fragrance than a vetiver one. It opens with a blast of citrus that immediately settles into a linear refreshing skin sent that lasts less than an hour. For a refreshing citrus cologne I'm staying with my Alvarez Gomez Agua de Colonia, same vibe, better value.
