Amber Cocoa

This smells like sweeter, more vanilla-y hot chocolate powder to me, in a good way. It’s not sweet in a cloying way, the powdery (not baby powder, powdered sugar/hot chocolate powder) scent makes it feel fresher in my opinion You do get the cocoa but it’s kind of in the background, which i’m fine with, but if you’re looking for a “chocolate scent”, i wouldn’t say this is that

This smells delicious!! It smells exactly like Al-Rehab’s Choco Musk without the intense alcohol opening and lasts wayyy longer. It’s powdery, almost marshmallow-y cocoa. Like a swiss miss hot chocolate packet! For $14, its totally blind buy safe. It’s a deep, warm, ambery cocoa powder with a creamy undertone!

Love this! I love layering it with Black Opium or Into The Night!

My impression without knowing anything but the name, was sweet root beer float smell with a bit of chocolate, wilted white flowers, a bit of nuttiness, and a slight fizziness. It reminds me of a more sophisticated version of some vape juice from 2018. After an hour and a half the flowers are a lot fainter, and everything I listed is still there. Now knowing what the notes are supposed to be, the other things I can smell are a little bit of the cinnamon, a bit of the hazelnut, and a tiny bit of coffee (I might have noticed that before too). I’m not sure about the sandalwood or the vanilla. It does smell like something that vanilla would be used in for sweetness and blending or something like that. I get none of the bergamot. The cream plus accidental root beer accord slightly bothers me in the same way that the combination slightly bothers me in a real root beer float. Cream flavor where it’s not exactly supposed to be, like in a strawberry milkshake. But it’s kind of nice at the same time. It reads as a unisex fragrance to me, not like anything really isn’t. I think it leans just a bit more feminine, but maybe I’m being influenced by the other votes. I wouldn’t think twice if I smelled this on another man.

I'm deeply familiar with EOS Cocoa Cashmere, B&BW Hot Cocoa and Cream, and Al Rehab Choco Musk. All 3 of them are unique and distinct, but they all do have some similarities...yes. I've heard it said that this is a dupe for whichever 3, and I disagree. None of them are exactly comparable at all. I like all of the above, and FWIW I also adore Angel Muse from Mugler. I enjoy this release also. This is more along a lactonic line, if I had to draw a distinct definition. The cream is the leading note to my nose. But, I enjoy this because it doesn't actually go sour/curdled like many milk/cream fragrances can and do. It's vanillic, slightly spiced if you look for that cinnamon (I wouldn't define this as a "spicy" fragrance), and makes my mouth water. Projection and sillage are soft. Much softer than Choco Musk, the intensity is more similar to EOS Coco Cashmere. I would prefer this in the fall weather...but also, I wonder if it would be silenced in cooler air? Maybe it's best as a bedtime, cozy, indoor fragrance?

Smells almost identical to EOS Cocoa & Cashmere! I have the body mist which performs well for a body mist. :) I'm personally not a fan of Choco Musk and find that fragrance to be considerably spicier than Amber Cocoa.

I had high hopes, but this is really a lot of nothing. Opens with a ton of alcohol, which I don’t really mind, but once it fades there’s a barely-there sickly-sweet synthetic milk chocolate note and I guess a little bit of a cheap amber. There’s a nuttiness similar to what’s in some of the Sol de Janeiro body mists. I tend to be pretty light-handed with my perfumes, but even over-spraying this I barely got any scent- which was for the best because it smells very cheap and juvenile. For the price this would be a GREAT gift for a young girl because the bottle is so pretty.

I bought all from this line because I reall needed the affordable treat (5 bottles cost less than over $100 for synthetic bombs) and I've been a Pacifica fan for ages. This one is, surprisingly, my favorite of the lot. I like chocolate scents, but they are often too much, too food-like and cloying. But this Amber Cocoa is wonderfully wearable, sweet and creamy, a touch of ambered wood and spice, with a bit of floral and citrus that tempers the sweetness and adds balance. Be careful with these new bottles. They are very cute, but I didn't realize they unscrewed. Almost lost the contents of this bottle taking the top off because I made a twisting motion. I've been disappointed with so many fragrances of late, as many have been pulling synthetic on me, and at those high price points, they should not. This line may not be complex, but they are reliable and deliciously inexpensive.
