Blue Moon

This is absolutely DELICIOUS. Looking at the notes, as a gourmand girlie...I wouldn't really think twice about this scent. But having a tester of it....oh my god, this literally smells like vanilla buttercream. I have no idea how. I'm not aware of what currant smells like, so maybe that is the strong note here, but I truly don't smell water or lavender. Im not a huge fan of water scents....but this is mouthwatering (haha) I really think the notes should be re-evaluated because the smell is creamy, vanilla, frosting, sugar vibes. The first spritz and sniff is like what is smells/tastes like when you make fresh vanilla buttercream frosting at home and you put it to your tongue to taste test and it melts in your mouth. 🧁 Absolute love ❤️ but if you're not a gourmand fan, and you see these notes thinking it's safe....maybe steer clear...it's description is deceptive.

This smells so good! I got it in the discovery set and now i kinda want a full bottle. It's weird though because the notes listed is not really what I'm smelling. I don't care that much about lavender or watery scents so I didn't think I would love this as much as I do. It's also neither lavender or watery lol so maybe that's why... as with all Pacifica scents this doesn't last long enough and doesn't project after a few minutes which is a shame because I want this to smell up the room when I walk in! The price is good too!

I have a small sample of this, this is my favorite Pacifica fragrance after neon moon. It is sweet with a hint of fruity spice; reminds me of sour blue cotton candy. Unfortunately, this scent only last less than an hour which is its downfall. It's already a very intimate perfume (which I like) but it goes away so quickly that you are the only person that will smell yourself. Not sure if I would get the bigger version as this does not last long and might be a waste of money. 3/5

This is a great scent. Pacifica has a whole line of below par perfumes and a couple nice ones (this included), why in the world would they discontinue their best one. Even though I love it, I find Pacifica perfumes to be way over priced for their quality. They should charge about $10 or less for a bottle considering the scent doesn't even last 30 minutes. Maybe their target market is preteens. I am on board with the person who said they are not buying any more Pacifica scents.

Blue moon threw me for a loop but I do really enjoy it. Based on the notes I honestly wasn't even sure what to expect. It is hard to describe but on me it's a gourmand like a thick vanilla syrup. But there is this depth to it that grounds it maybe it's the lavender? I wore it this last Autumn and it worked so well with the cool weather and grey days that I absolutely fell in love with it. I don't think I would wear this in the heat it so I'm leaving it as an autumn scent.

I love this one so much, and I'm sad it got discontinued. I've been trying to find a good dupe for it. I know some say it's similar to LDBS but although I love LDBS, they are verrrrry different fragrances to my nose. Pacifica's Island Vanilla is similar, but only lasts for 5 seconds and lacks the slightly "smoky" element that makes this one so special. I will say that the drydown of Aquolina Pink Sugar Berry Blast is similar!

I love everything about this perfume. I have two bottles that I bought for a hefty price on ebay because it was discontinued. It pisses me off that although they discontinued it like a year ago, they continue to sell a sample of it in their "Moon Moods" discovery set which makes no sense. They want us to discover it, but then never be able to get more of it? This perfume is my white whale. I wish they would bring it back !!!!

The listed notes on this are so misleading! Also the seasonal indicators...this is definitely a cool weather fragrance. As the reviewer below me noted, it is very vanilla and smokey. A friend bought this for me, after we hadn’t seen each other in a long time. It makes me feel happy because of that association and of course it smells wonderful. I adore this fragrance.

I liked it. It's not pretentiously complex, I smell cinnamon and sugar too, but in a very light way. Feels right for the whole year, day and night. I'm no expert on aquatic fragrances, or any fragrances for that matter, but it smells sweet and cozy in a very moderate way. The lavender notes are really faint.

This is my favorite of the Pacifica Moon scents. To me, it smells just like a Lush store. As if you are walking down the street, and there is a lush store a few blocks away. You always smell it before you see it. This is the smell that wafts from the store.

This scent is just gorgeous. It reminds me of orange creamsicle chapstick I had as a kid, mixed with vanilla, slight musk, and allspice. It smells a little like a fruitcake actually. If you like gourmands, this is worth a try.

I like it. It reminds me of a less chemically Pink Sugar with a faint floral note. And I have a feeling this might have been Pacifica's attempt at a Vegan LDBS dupe since supposedly all the moon collection is

i miss her... cotton candy in a bottle the more mature version of spun sugar... so juicy yet such an intimate smell.. if anyone is selling this please reach out to me x

On me this is a soft gourmand. Close to the skin and not soapy at all. I don't smell any of the notes shown above. It's a very beautiful sweet perfume.

I really like this perfume. I especially use it just before bed as a nighttime usage and layering it with Zum Mist Lavender by Indigo Wild.

I'm really surprised to see the perfumes that people say remind them of this one. On me, it's nothing like Cloud, Fresh Cream, and especially not Burberry Goddess. The water notes are heavy on this one for me. it has a strange sweetness to it, with a hint of smokiness or synthetic-ness that comes off a bit plasticky. Some folks here have said it smells like a Barbie Doll head, to me it's not quite that sweet, but maybe like a sweeter play-doh type scent? I realize this makes it sound bad- but this perfume really isn't that bad. I bought it because someone said it smelled like cotton candy. It definitely doesn't come off as cotton candy on me, but I can see why people say it does. I like this one, but it's definitely not a love for me. I wish I got the marshmallow/cotton candy/bubble gum notes that others have described, but it just doesn't smell or wear the same on me. More of a smoky, watery, lavender. I recommend trying it out in the store and letting it dry down fully before buying. I do find that the lasting power is okay, about 5-6 hours, but it sits really close to the skin.

Overall: I like it so far, and it's growing on me but I have mixed feelings. I like the way it smells, but I’m not absolutely in love...I think it's because I haven't figured out when I would wear this. I am glad to have it in my collection but have to find its place in my life. Right now, I've been using it as a sleep perfume. Longevity is okay, not great. For the price, I think it's fine that it isn't super long-lasting. For stand out notes, I pick up the muddled lavender quite strongly in this perfume. It reminds me of lavender and musky vetiver or cedar even. While I find it feminine overall, it has a slightly masculine note, this touch of smokiness, but still sweet at the same time. The opening seems to have a strong vanilla/sweet note. Initially, I worried it might be too sweet/young for me. On the dry down, some of the soft sweetness is lost, there is this musky, spicy earthy note that emerges.

I don't understand this. Not the notes, not the bottle, not the name...it's a complete disconnect from the way this smells. Yet, this does smell GOOD. There's absolutely no currant to my nose, nor any aquatic qualities. It's a vanillic, warm spice and it smells like bubble gum dropped into a mug of warm milk with cinnamon. It's delectable, smooth, warm and creamy. Blue? Uhhh...more like soft light brown and beige, if you make any synesthetic connections, I think blue might be the last kind anyone would make with this scent. It is very nice and I find myself compulsively sniffing my wrist, it puts my mind at ease. I would want to wear this curling up in my favorite blanket to read on an autumn evening. I'm happily wearing this to bed, it's very cozy. It isn't heavy and might need reapplication, but it is quite affordable.

There is a flavor of ice cream in the midwest called Blue Moon. It’s primarily vanilla with fruit loop or almond/pistachio similarities. I’m not sure if it’s just because I couldn’t shake the comparison, but I swear it smelled like this. I used up my sampler and remembered liking how sweet it was, so definitely if you don’t want to be reminded of ice cream this isn’t for you. I remember not getting the doll/plasticky smell alongside the sweetness the way I did Silver Moon. Unfortunately the sampler nozzle broke so I can’t open up the empty vial to attempt to re-smell. One thing is for sure (and I am noticing a trend) - it doesn’t smell like the given notes. Will probably buy this eventually and maybe my opinion will then change overall but I am also not itching to buy it the way I was after trying Dream Moon.

I tried this out at Target this morning; it’s sweeter than I thought it would be. It starts out with the same ground-up SweeTarts sweetness that Flowerbomb does, but less obnoxious. The water notes tone down the sweetness a lot, but unfortunately the lavender in this gets toned down too. Since this scent is so light, it’s a great casual choice for warmer weather. Be ready to reapply it after a few hours, though 😅 This would be a fantastic choice for a first fragrance for preteens and younger teenagers because it’s so light and affordable.

This is exactly what I wanted R.E.M. to be-- sweet lavender and creamy sweet musk, featuring vanillin instead of the messy gourmand whipped cream-glazed-doughnut nonsense. As other reviewers have pointed to, there's barely any fruit in this. Vanillin is still quite synthetic, and this is cloying on skin, but it becomes a soft, musky, sweet lavender when sprayed on fabric. Works great on my t-shirt or as a sleepytime lavender before bed.

omg....MaxieF is correct. this absolutely DOES have a consistent note of Barbie hair! I wouldn't say full-on Barbie--maybe it depends on when you were into them. I think it's more of a late 90s Barbie cause I feel like those smelled different than the ones from the early to mid-90s. Otherwise, this is a very icing-like vanilla. The fruity note makes it read as blue even though it's currant.

It kind of smells like froot loops to me so that's why I bought it! Also someone said that it smells like artificial blueberry poptart and I agree! Kind of a cute perfume but unexpectedly sweet for what the notes list. I feel like there should be a cotton candy note listed.

I got this on clearance for $6. There's no water or current notes. To my nose is just Marshmallow Lavender. It's the same type of Lavender used in Cloud 2.0. I find it to be an enjoyable fragrance.

To me this smells just like Clean Reserve Skin with just a hint more depth--almost a smokiness? Like many other reviewers I don't necessarily get the notes listed, but I do like this scent!

This perfume smells exactly like a cupcake! Odd because none of these notes could be considered super gourmand. But this is such a comforting scent, my personal fave bedtime perfume!

Smells like vanilla icing with the tiniest hint of berry. I didn't get any lavender at all. I think it's yummy but can see how it might be too sweet for others. Lasted about 4 hours

Sweeter than the notes led me to believe, I'd like to at least test this again. As with all Pacifica fragrances I wish it lasted longer.

Exact dupe for burberry goddess, imho

It starts out smelling of cinnamon even though it is not listed in the notes. It then veers from spicy to a sort of strawberry, barbie plastic, and vanilla marshmallow. It finally settles into a flat vanilla. I love the spice and vanilla notes but not a huge fan of the middle fruity marshmallowy plasticky scent. I am wondering why the listed notes are so completely different from what I am actually smelling. Was it mislabeled? Overall a chaotic experience that doesn't mesh well as a whole, but it does leave an innocuous, tame and dry vanilla on my skin.

Pacifica Moon Mood Parfums 4/5: This is one of the most confusing perfumes I’ve smelled. First of all, it smells nothing like its notes. Second of all, to me personally, it smells nothing like anything people are comparing it to on here. To me, it smells like either grape or strawberry flavoured pills you took as a kid, or those flinstone’s vitamins!!! Or like a classic TUMS. what i’m trying to say is that it’s fruity, but mainly very powdery. I would rate this somewhere between ok and like.

I really love the scent of this. But sadly I feel this will be my last Pacifica fragrance purchase. I just bought this from Amazon and the scent is pretty. It smells like whip cream or frosting. The listed notes are deceiving. But there is a massive alcohol blast upon first spray, and just not enough actual scent or raw fragrance materials in the bottle. It's so faint on the skin iand not lasting an hour.

I was not sure how to feel about this one. It's a very simple blend of currant and lavender, which provides fruity, almost vanilla sweetness but the floral notes give it an added sharpness which I wasn't expecting. At first it began to grow on me, but when it dried down it began to grow more woody, which I've recently learned isn't a scent I really enjoy unless mixed with super specific scents.

This is a weird one. When I got it two years ago, I wrote, "Berries and whipped cream. Like AG Cloud without the lavender. The blue bottle makes me think I'm getting blueberry, but it's more generic berries on top of whipped cream." Now that I'm trying it again, It just smells like a vanilla diet shake powder, maybe slightly sour. I mean... what happened?

I bought this one thinking I liked it at first, but then when I wore it the second time, I realized that the fruitiness was too sickly sweet and dense for me. I do not find anything Aquatic in it. Nothing at all. I gave it away.

Very similar to Island Vanilla but with more burnt sugar. I prefer the island Vanilla because it's more fresh Vanilla smelling. The blue glass bottle is pretty but I feel no need to own both so I'm decluttering.

Fresh watery cruelty free/eco fragance. Nice but one of the Pacifica Moons that last less on my skin.

It smells of dark berries. I'm not familiar with red currant so it may be present, but I believe it to be black currant. It's much, much sweeter than the notes would suggest. I smell florals a little bit in the opening, but it's not very noticeable. This is a fairly light take on sweet candied dark berries, almost like a body spray. Longevity is maybe an hour, and it has very poor projection. Due to poor performance I'd go to TJ Maxx and purchase a celeb perfume over this, much better value for money.

Just weird, kinda unpleasant with an overwhelming sugary smell, and a strange tangy sour note that might be from the currant but seems to me more like a sharp spicy seasoning. Even though I only smelled it in store, to anyone thinking of buying, the notes list doesn't represent the perfume at all. I thought the particular bottle had gone off, but the other reviews seem to agree. No water notes at all, or lavender. Surprised to see no smoke notes listed?? Odd one.

ok, this doesn't smell like the notes listed at all. i think i get vanilla and a hint of currant, and this has that doll-head kind of smell to it on me...if there were a strawberry shortcake character with currant...it'd smell like this. i do not get water notes and maybe there is a hint of lavender but not much. berry-vanilla plasticky doll heads is what i smell.

Disgusting. I tested this in store recently and I immediately got wafts of overpowering sugar cane mixed with saliva. At first I thought it was similar to Island Vanilla, and I love gourmands, but this is sickening. I expected an actual aquatic lavender scent as the name and notes implied. I am bitter about this. So glad I did not buy it. I keep scrubbing my arm, and it won't come off. At first, I thought maybe it was a bad batch, but according to the other reviewers on here, it sounds like it's supposed to smell like this. I like Pacifica as a brand, but I would never have expected a fragrance with notes like water and lavender to smell nothing like those. There are much better scents out there. Indian Coconut Nectar, I do love on the other hand.

It smells like yogurt... like Raspberry Yoplait. Not sure if mine is spoiled or something but this smells really atrocious. Thankfully I got it for only $8 and I won't feel bad about decluttering it

This one confuses me. Smells like synthetic lavender urinal cakes doused in currant cough syrup. Depressing nursing home bathroom. Made me feel sad and sick :(

First of all, this is a good scent. This is a vanilla frosting smell with like the most elusive hint of currant on the periphery. Is it there or was it my imagination idk, but perhaps it projects outwards so much that maybe others can smell it better. This very much reminded me of the same vanilla in the body scent vanilla eau de toilette. I almost bought that once, but I’m glad I didn’t because I could just get this perfume, which I know for sure is all natural and non-toxic and it’s also longer lasting, although it is more expensive, but for a perfume it’s still cheap so. And since according to women’s anecdotes, dudes like their plain old vanilla perfumes more than anything else, this is a great vanilla to combine with other fragrances or even just wear by itself.

I think the vast array of “reminds me of” sums up this fragrance quote well in that clearly it smells different to everyone. I don’t get a smooth creamy vanilla, rather a quite smokey aromatic one. I do get the slight doll head smell some people have mentioned. I was smelling all of these in my grocery store and I came to look up this one bc I was so thrown off by the notes vs the smell. This is a smokey, almost tabaco type of vanilla scent to my nose. I think i like it just because it confuses me.

There is no hint of lavender and very, very little if any berry. It is NOT fruity at all. I don't get the water accord either. This is 100% sweet and syrupy vanilla. It's intense and strong, especially for an all natural perfume. I would describe it most succinctly as a mysterious, dark and sweet vanilla. Black Bourbon Vanilla. If you love vanilla as I do, you will love this. I purchased it because it's all natural. Beautiful sapphire blue bottle as well, but they don't come with a cap.

To me it doesn't smell or remind to nothing of the mentioned perfumes ,but remind me of a cough syrup . This extremely sweet synthetic and with horrendous taste syrup ... I bought this as I red a lot for this mood collection and I was curious about what the box says ,that is almost like an aromatherapy .. Personally I found it the most unpleasant perfume so far and nothing close to the notes on the bottle . Once I sprayed on me I wanted to wash it immediately but than it also stays ..

These notes are so misleading...this scent is a big vanilla, milk, cookies concoction. It is very pleasant but in a milkshake style...I smell whipped cream and vanilla ice cream... get the sampler for a few $$$ do not believe these notes! Poor longevity but very pleasant if you enjoy gourmands.
